By the way...

I'm having major issues with my posts. So I'll type out nice paragraphs, and then when I post it, the spacing goes away and I'm left with one big, fat, grossly yucky paragraph... I don't like it. How do I make it stop doing that?

Sorry no pictures!

Well, the latest update for us is really for me. Yesterday was DanceSport, and I forgot to bring my camera. It was my last dance competition and I didn't bring my camera, I feel so dumb. Anyway, yesterday was DanceSport and I competed the Paso Doble. I competed in the highest Latin class level (because I didn't have a choice, I'm in the second highest class but someone thought it would be a good idea to make us compete against the best latin dancers in BYU... which was a dumb decision). Anyway, I competed and actually did really well. My partner and I got called back for 3 rounds which put us in the quarter finals. To make me feel a little better, this means that we were one of the top 12-20 paso dancers at BYU, which is a good feeling. We had a lot of fun and were appropriately angry while dancing. For those who don't know, the paso is the mad dance. The man is a madador and the woman is the cape. Why he gets mad at the cape is still confusing to me, but this is just the way it's done. Anyway, DanceSport was great and I'm really going to miss dancing after we leave here, but I'm also looking forward to a break... Bittersweet is I guess how I feel about leaving ballroom. Yesterday I also tried Pita Pit for the first time. I got a gyro thinking it would tast just like the ones at Mad Greek Deli in Portland and was SERIOUSLY dissatisfied. I'm willing to give it another shot if any of you have suggestions of what to try. School is good. I'm learning more than I can remember which is starting to be a problem. I like all my classes and enjoy the 10 minute naps during Religion in the Home every Tuesday and Thursday... wow, that's a boring class! Intersting topic, very boring teacher. We're looking forward to going to Rexburg this weekend. Devin's brother, Brad, is going to be going to Afghanistan for the next year and a half, maybe, and this is the last chance he will get to visit family. And then the next weekend, we're going to a much warmer Phoenix to visit my brother Glen and is cute family. Glen's giving his final recital and we're going, mostly to support him but a little for a break... seeing as BYU doesn't feel the need to give us a spring break (who thought of that and where can I find them?). We're starting to look for houses and apartments in Lubbock. We like some apartments that are about 2 or 3 miles away from campus. We can see benefits of living close and benefits of living far we just don't know which benefits are greater. We hope to be able to move into a little house relatively soon, because we don't want to pay rent for 5 years... we'd rather get a mortgage!!! So, if you hear of anyone in Lubbock who wants to give us their house for free, you let us know! Yep, I think that's about it for us. Sorry no pictures this time. I'll do better.

Red Raiders!!!

So, we heard back from Texas Tech and Devin got accepted! So, we prayed about it and have decided that we'll be going there! We're really excited! We also got accepted to BYU and Maryland but we've decided that Texas is the place for us. I'm excited to leave the snow here in Provo but I sure will miss those big beautiful mountains... seeing that there aren't even any hills in Texas. We are excited for a big change and are ready to start our lives. We have loved Provo but are ready to go somewhere else and see what it has to offer us and see what we have to offer it. So that's the big exciting news in our lives right now.
School is starting to get very busy for both of us and yet at the same time it seems like we do the same thing everyday, which is getting a little old. But we're still learning things which is kinda crazy! Hey... we're going to start a study that the MFT program at BYU is doing. It's on physical health in healthy marriages. So we get a bunch of tests done, do 12 weeks of counseling, and then do more tests. The best part is that we get paid for it, and it counts for my marriage enhancement class! I think it will be lots of fun and very helpful too (not that we have marital issues, I'm just sure that we'll learn a lot)!
Anyway, that's about it for us. Hope that you're all doing well!
