Hi! We're back. It's been a fun 3 months getting used to life with 2 kids in the house. We'll update you with pictures. Eli still loves playing with anything that rolls - trains, cars, and balls. He's such a good big brother and as you can tell, he sure loves his little sister.

Genevieve is a GREAT baby! She sleeps for 7 or 8 hours at night! And I love that! My favorite thing is that she smiles and laughs in her sleep! It's so cute!

She usually sleeps in her bouncy chair because she has had a cough and runny nose since she was about 2 weeks old. Not that it's a bad sickness, but enough that laying flat makes it worse. But I don't really care, I just like that she sleeps through the night! Here is a rare picture of her sleeping in her crib. I'm pretty sure she woke up about 2 minutes after this picture was taken.

She usually likes to fall asleep on her own. The only time I really swaddle her and rock her to sleep is right before bed. Sometimes I'll lay her on the floor to go do something in the other room and come back to find this.

My favorite matching outfit. I can't remember what pictures I posted last time so this may be a duplicate. But I love it just that much!

This was the night Genevieve first started doing her social smile. But this was the first picture I caught!

One Sunday after church. I love Eli in this one!

Eli loves sitting in our tree.

Don't get me started on how my blog has a mind of its own... this picture was supposed to be earlier. But this is the night of her first social smile. So cute, huh?!

She's filling out quite nicely! I love it!

Genevieve was blessed last Sunday by Devin.

These are all our family and our pseudo-family that were there.

Devin's cute sister, Katherine, came down with Devin's parents. We were so happy that they could make it!

My brother, Glen, and his family drove over from Dallas. We were especially glad that they made it, and made it to church just in time for Glen to step in for the blessing.

This is our Lubbock family, the Olsen's. We are so happy that they arranged their moving away to be able to come to Genevieve's blessing. They have moved on to the much greener pastures of the pacific northwest. We will miss them so much. I, obviously, cried when they said goodbye to us Sunday afternoon. I was thinking about how Katelyn is going to be such a hard friend to replace. She has left some big shoes to fill. I was thinking about making an application for a new best friend but no one will meet the requirements, I'm sure of it. She was the PERFECT friend for me. I'm going to miss her dearly... I better stop before I start crying again! Eli has asked almost everyday to go to Daylin and Everett's house and we have explained over and over again that they don't live here anymore. It's tough stuff!

This is me and the Babe!

Devin and the Babe.

All the cute kids!

Happy Genevieve in her blessing dress. My mom, who is on a mission in Ukraine, made this dress for her before she left. Don't you wish that your mom was as talented as mine?! I know!

See, I told you she's good. Though I will take some credit for her headband and her bracelet - I made those!

Gaelyn, my niece, and Genevieve and Eli.

Taking pictures before Gaelyn had to go back home.

Being a dad must be really exhausting. I'm glad I don't have to do it. (I'm serious, I'm not being sarcastic.) But isn't this a cute picture?

On Saturday, we went to the Ranching Heritage Museum. It was free. And look at this cool train!

I kept telling Eli to say cheese, which he did, just not while looking at the camera. I'll take what I can get.

Genevieve enjoyed the bumpy pathway at the museum a lot!

Eli has a new favorite snack - graham crackers with frosting on them. He licks the frosting off and then eats the cracker (then he grabs his feet and gets frosting literally everywhere).

So, that's what we've been up to. How about you?
