HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKE !!

Luke, AFTER the party.
Emy made Luke a homemade card with "GraveDigger" on it. . I think she did a GREAT job.
Luke & the Grave Digger pinata Darrell, Emy & I gave him.
Luke LOVES candles.
His cake.
Today, our precious son turns 4!! Can you believe it?
Unfortunately, Darrell and I both have had the nasty 24 hour bug so we won't be having a BIG PARTY for sure..
We are having a very small, for close family only (mostly due to the virus thing), monster truck party, of course....
I really think that a big party this close to Christmas would be too overwhelming for Lukey so a small one will have to do for this year. . . He is walking around saying "happy birthday Luke--I 4"....he is so stinking cute!!
I did get to sing to him in bed this morning. I took a lit candle to the bed room and sang Happy Birthday and let him blow it out first thing--he was ALL SMILES for that...
Happy Birthday Luke!
You are such a fantastic addition to our family--we love you to the moon and back!!
Will post some pics later.. PICS are now posted.
Also--ENJOY this video!!

JESUS is the REASON for the SEASON

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

I love Santa, but I LOVE JESUS more!! I really liked this little poem, so I thought I would share it with you guys!!

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney
JESUS stands at your door and knocks and then enters your heart.

You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa may forget your name.
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.

Santa says HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.

Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.

We do need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We do need to put Christ back in Christmas.

May the Lord bless & watch over you & your loved ones this Christmas and may He prosper & bless the work of your hands in 2009!

Love to you all,
Cindy

Emy was serious when she gave Santa her list.
I do want to say here that although we include Santa in Christmas, our children know and will always know that Jesus is the REAL reason for the season......
