We're going boating today
We are going to the lake today to see how the kids like our pontoon boat...ya think???
Emy has been on it before but it has been about 4 years....we went boating when she first came home and then put our camper at the beach.....here we go back to the lake again....I am really looking forward to it.
So, you may not hear from me much in the next week--it is my vacation week and we will be doing some swimming, some boating and some biking, and maybe even some hiking!!
Lots and lots of playing will be going on, I can tell ya that!!
I was off work yesterday and Mr. Luke was attached to me at the hip (literally). He wanted to be held all day long....and I did it because I love him to pieces!!!! Oh my aching back today, though!!
Will post again soon!! I promise!! With pictures!!

Another funny thing Emy said. . .
Coming home from church, she was complaining about what we named her. She says that there are two Josh's at church, why couldn't we have named her "Becca". Then there could be two Becca's.
Conversation from the van, pulling into our drive:
Daddy--"Emy, we should leave church happier than we were when we left for church--you sound the same as you did before we left".
Emy (remember Miss Thang) says "yep, except now I'm chewing gum".
Y'all--this child cracks me up!!

Miss Sassy
Emy has decided that she will be sassy to her mama lately. This is the conversation we just had:
Mama--"Emy, go brush your teeth before we leave for church".
Emy--"No".
Mama--"Don't tell me no, Emy".
Emy--"Okay, no maam". (like that was BETTER???--well maybe a little).
Okay, I do admit, it is kind of funny but still--this mama does not like sassiness and I have been hearing it more and more lately. My girl child is a trip, y'all.....
Bottom line--she brushed her teeth and we are off to church!!
Later taters!!

Luke & Emy Update
Well, the summer has gotten off to a HUGE start around my house. I am trying to clean out closets, drawers, and all the rest--ugh!
Emy & Luke are swimming ALOT--actually Emy is swimming around and jumping in the 8foot deep end without any assistance from floaties--yahooo!!!! And Luke, he is swimming and jumping into the 8foot deep end, with the assistance of his floaties!!
THEY LOVE TO SWIM.. And let me add, Emy does a PERFECT handstand this year--and diving to the bottom of the 4-6 foot water--she's doing so great!!
Also, on another note--Luke is up to 5 hours of wearing his patch and his boots!! It is so hard to find the time to do this--we have to work him up to 6 hours. . 3 hours at daycare (thank God for such a good sitter who helps me with this) and 3 hours at home is what we are shooting for. We are almost there!!!
And about the Father's Day video--it didn't turn out so good, so sorry, can't make good on that. I will however, video them at the pool soon and let you see them in action!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DADDY!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY
FROM EMY & LUKE
We had lots of fun making this for Daddy!!
Luke didn't like the paint on his hand too much--and Emy LOVED making a mess of her hand--how different my two are--ha!
You are the sweetest, best daddy ever!! I appreciate you and all you do for us more than you will ever know!!
I mostly thank you for traveling alone, twice, to the poor streets of Kolkata, India to bring home our two most precious blessings ever. . And the thanks will go on and on for that!!
I LOVE YOU!!
Have a great day!! You deserve it!!

Haley Palmer
Please pray for Haley's family--Haley (12 year old) just lost her battle against cystic fibrosis at 2:23pm today.
I learned about Haley from another blog I visit. Please just pray for her family--her mom, dad and little sister, Brenna.
Please go to http://www.caringbridge.org/cb/viewHome.do to read about Haley and her family. . .

Nancy
Thank you so much for leading me to Sandbox Adventures blog. I will definitely keep this man and his buddies in my prayers!! I will comment to him often to let him know we are thinking about him.
If anyone has a few extra minutes, please go to this blog--I only had a chance to read a few of his posts, but this is a real, live Christian man who is fighting in this war. . .

My Sweet Luke
This is a very familiar pose--Luke loves lying on the floor, playing with his trucks and cars
(and sucking his thumb)--did I mention we try to multitask at our house?

PRAY FOR OUR TROOPS
This is a 5-minute video. Make sure your volume is turned up. We really need to support our troops and pray for them daily. This video really made me stop and think.
