Christmas Fun!

We had such a great time during Christmas. Tracy, Dale, Gabe, Tonya, and Dewayne all came out and each stayed for about a week. It was great to have my family in town for the Holiday and we sure had a fun time while they were here!

December 17th- Kaya was in her first Christmas program and sang her little heart out, she even started a little dance at the end.
December 20th- Hanssen family arrive in Denver. Kaya, myself, Tracy and Oma went to see the nutcracker. We had to go strait from the airport, so we didn't get to get dressed up, but Kaya had a blast (Clara and the Sugarplum princess were her favorites).
December 21st- Tonya and Dewayne arrive
December 22nd- Sleigh Ride in the mountains (Lake George, CO). We had a ride behind to huge horses and then had lunch in a cozy cabin afterwards, thanks Oma!
December 23rd- Santa Train. We got to ride up the Cog railroad with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves, we stopped to have cookies and hot chocolate and play in the snow. We made sushi that night, always yummy and always a good time.
December 24th- Christmas Eve! We went to the Candlelight Service at our church, looked at the lights and gingerbread houses at the Broadmoor and then had a yummy dinner at home with Oma and Papa.
December 25th- Christmas! Kids got up to open presents, had our traditional Egg Casserole, and just hung out for most of the day. We had our friends here in Colorado over that night for a Christmas ham with fixings.
December 26th- Tonya leaves :(. But we went up in the mountains, the guys cut firewood while Tracy and myself played in the snow and took the kids sledding. We stopped at the Donut Mill on the way up, so yummy!
December 27th- Hanssen's leave :(. Grandpa and myself took the kids to the zoo, it was a great day for it and we all had a great time. Ordered Pizza and Beer that night (sorry Gabe missed out on that!).
December 28th- Played outside with the kids, riding the new pink jeep, bikes and swinging. Grandpa leaves later that day :(.
December 29th- Rest!

We watched movies in our "theater room", and ate a ton, and played a lot! Be prepared for a long video!!!

Its beginning to FEEL a lot like Christmas

Christmas/Birthday dinner (Fondue) with good friends.

Parade of Lights (we had the most horrible spot ever! We were sitting right where everybody unloaded their floats. The kids had a blast and had now idea what they were missing so that is what counts, right?)

Cutting down our Christmas tree. We always go with our good friends, The Cranes and attempt to get a tree that will actually fit in our house.

Decorating the new found tree

All Done and looking Festive

Making a gingerbread house. I am pretty sure they ate more candy then actually got put on the house, and there is a lot of candy on the house!

Thanksgiving and November Happenings

We had a great Thanksgiving! It was the first year (besides the year Kaya was born) that we did not travel for Thanksgiving in the 8 years I have lived here. It was nice not to fight the snow storm on the way home. We had a full house, and enjoyed sharing our home with family. Devin's family from Wyoming came to stay with us His cousins, and second cousins. We had fun time and great food! We ended up frying 6 turkey's which I still don't know if I am a fan. We have lots to be Thankful for and are now looking forward to my family for Christmas! I love this time of year!!

Kaya's 4th Birthday

We had a blast celebrating Kaya's Birthday. The day started out by opening presents from Mom, Dad, Oma, Papa, her aunts and great aunts. She is a very loved little girl!! She got all the girly stuff a 4 year old could dream of, Barbies, Strollers, dress up clothes, and more pink! We had a yummy breakfast and spent the morning playing with her new toys. Dev and I ventured to make her barbie birthday cake. I think it turned out pretty darn good for beginners! She then took a good nap to gear up for her party. Her party was at Aerials gymnastics, where her and her friends jumped, climbed, swung and ran like crazy. She loved sharing her very girly Barbie cake with all the boys in her life :). We went out to dinner to Red Robin with the Roths which topped off a great birthday. We love our sweet princess and cannot believe she is 4!

Fall and Halloween Fun

Our fall has been full of the typical fall activities. We made pumpkin sugar cookies, raked and played in leaves, and carved pumpkins. We had a great Halloween. It started with pumpkin pancakes for breakfast, riding bikes outside (it was a beautiful day), then a birthday party, and off to our church for trunk of treats. A bunch of cars back up, fill their trunks up with candy and the kids go from car to car to trick or treat. They had hot dogs, chili, bouncers and lots of games for the kids. Kaya (Cinderella) and Kasen (cowboy on a horse) had lots of fun.

Fall Family Pictures

We took the kids up to the mountains a couple of weekends ago to take pictures. Out of the 300 we took we managed to get some good ones :)

Finally I can share

Yes, we are expecing baby #3! We are 12 weeks along and heard the heartbeat this morning, everything looks ok! We are pretty excited, and scared out of our minds! Three just seems like so much, I feel that I can barely keep up with these two little crazy kids! I have to remember that God won't give me more then I can handle, but He will stretch me, and I think this baby is gonna do that for sure. I am feeling good now, a bit tired in the middle of the day, but can eat now, and only want to throw up at the smell of spagetti and garlic!
