The other night, all the older kids (8 and up) were out of the house for one reason or another. They were at birthday parties, a football game, etc. We had put all the little ones to bed and must have been bored. We were looking at the fish tank in the boy's room and were contemplating getting another 'sucker fish' as the one we bought was not keeping up with the algae.
The algae across the front of the glass was so bad, we could hardly see in the tank. So of course Scott went and got a cloth and decided to just dive in and wipe the glass off himself. He was up to his elbow in our 40 gallon tank and the next thing I know, he's writing something......H E L P.
Oh my word, it was the funniest thing I had seen all day. We didn't say a word to anyone about it. That night Thomas was on his way to bed and it caught his eye. "Dad, it says HELP in the fish tank!!!!!" We got him quieted down after him asking a million questions and he went to bed. The other two boys were home later and the fish light had been turned off by then.
The next morning, Tanner was the first one up. As he was getting out of bed, he yelled, "The fish tank says HELP!!!! Who wrote that???" He then proceeded to get Levi up, telling him that 'the fish tank says HELP'.
They came running in the kitchen to find us. They asked Scott who did it and he told them the sucker fish must have done it. Apparently he needs help in there!!! I wish you could have seen the look on their faces!!! Astonishment and bewilderment, confusion and a little bit of panic were all over their faces.
We seriously could not hold it in any longer. It was so funny to watch their faces, to see them trying to process what their dad had just said......can fish really spell????
This picture was taken a week later and it looks like the sucker fish is finally doing his job. It's harder to see now. I should have taken it a few days ago when there was more algae around it.
