Visits from east coast

All of these pictures are mixed up, so bear with me.  We spent Father's day with my parents and had lunch at Roxborough country club, there are some incredible views from that place.   My sister, Erin from Massachusetts came with her two girls to visit us in May.  We took them to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo down in Colorado Springs.  It was the most beautiful zoo I've ever been too.  The layout took you slowly up the mountain with animals all along the way.  The giraffes were my favorite since you could feed them lettuce right from your hand.  Then we took the chairlift up the rest of the mountain, I've never been so scared!  I've been skiing lots, but not with a 2, 4, and 7 yr old on the lift with me.  I just made them sit still and held onto them tight.  The view was worth it and they loved it.  We also made some trips to the Children's museum in Denver and Civic Green in Highlands Ranch, it's so fun having family around.

Easter and more

Easter rolled around and it was a gorgeous day, even though the late frost killed the blossoms on the trees.  It took forever for the leaves to finally come out.  I think it was around May 15th before things were green again.  We hung out at my parents house most of the day and went hunting for eggs.  This was Owen's first time looking for them on his own, he loved it and Ella kept picking up rocks to give to him instead.

We went to Heritage Square in Golden for a weekend in May, it's an old amusement park that's particularly for little kids.  They loved it and it even had a little train that went around the park.

I also went to Women's conference for the first time at BYU.  I drove over with some girls from my ward, we had such a good time.  It was snowing when we left Denver and by the time we got to Provo it was sunny and green everywhere.  There were some great speakers and I left there inspired.  It's nice to start getting to know some of the amazing people that live around me.

Owen was just under the table one day coloring.  He's such a doll.

So behind

There's just so much going on I feel like I don't have a minute to sit down and write about it all.  So I left off in March.   The kids school had a St. Patrick's day party and they had so much fun.  They had Irish dancers, games, food, and dancing.  Owen was so funny, he loved dancing with all the lights off.

We did some hiking in the middle of winter when it was 70 degrees, gotta love CO.

Jarom and I took a trip to NYC to see my sister and his parents who are on their mission in CT.  I love visiting NY, there's always something happening.  We had yummy Italian food, saw the Broadway show Cinderella, went to the MET, walked everywhere, and ate amazing food.  Living in the suburbs has some perks, but I always miss living in the buzzing city.  We took the train up to see his parents and the place they've been serving.  It's a Spanish & Portuguese speaking ward and I'm amazed at how his dad is just learning the language as he goes.  I would be so frustrated, but he seems to be fitting right in.

Catch up!

I've fallen off the blog writing for awhile now.  So I'll start with February.  I took Riley with me to visit my friends in WA.  Oh how I miss that place.  Of course I had to take a picture of Mt. Rainer from the plane, I sure do miss seeing it.  I got to hang out with all of my favorite people all weekend.  I had such an awesome support system up there, I didn't realize how amazing until I left.  We ate, hung out, and talked all weekend, it was perfect.
Owen's 2nd birthday was February 25th, the same as my dad.  We had a little party for him at home and then went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.  They sang a little Yee Haw song for him and he just had the funniest face trying to figure out what was going on.  He's such a sweet boy, I hope he stays that way forever.  He loves his sisters, always has funny things to say, and I swear he needs to be in a BabyGap ad :)
