Family is Everything

Yep, it totally happened to me... I broke my big left toe last Sunday, on the 16th. a large ornamental plate fell through the bottom of its box when I picked it up and it cracked my bone. The fracture basically looks like a "t" all the way down my toe. It hurts. It's hard to get around. My legs ache from over compensating while trying to walk. And it's going to take about 6 weeks to heal. NOT what I was planning on dealing with this spring. At least I don't have to use crutches all the time anymore. I'm very grateful for that!

 This is how Audrey entertains herself because she can get away with it... I won't show pictures of the other rooms.

 I love to see the kids huddled around Daddy as we do Family Home Evening!

I can't believe Zoey is 7 monhs old! I say this all the time, but I just see her growing so fast. she now has 1 tooth, almost 2. she has decided that it's ok to not be sitting all on her own or rolling onto her tummy all the time. That may partly be my fault because i tend to pick her up a lot to protect her from any rough little hands of her siblings. I can't leave Audrey along with her yet, so Zoey usually comes with me! On a side note, Zoey had her 6 month check up last month. She weighed 14 lbs 6 oz (which is about 20 %) and was 26 1/2 inches long (about 75 %). She's such a cutie-patootie!!

So, I have pureed sweet potatoes and carrots for Zoey so far. She really likes the food, and apparently Audrey is a fan as well. Whenever I heat some up for Zoey, Audrey gets a spoon ready for herself... she cracks me up!

We were finally healthy enough yesterday to have Jaren's baptism! It was lovely. What a special day for Jaren. We are so proud of his decision to be baptized into the true church of God. He was also confirmed a member of The Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wonderful friends from church came to support Jaren as well. We are so grateful for you all!

The kids and I were SO sick last week. Ethan was out of town, it was my birthday, and everyone had the flu... yuck.

The boys got awards in scouts last week. Jaren received his wolf badge and Xander received his tiger badge. Good work boys!

The kids have a new cousin! Baby Henry Austin Pieper was born on March 1st. What a cute little guy! Now Lizzie and Lauren have a brother!

Xander had to dress up like he was 100 years old... he cracks me up!

 Ellie couldn't get enough of this rotisserie chicken. She kept picking at it, even after I had taken the meat off of it!

 Ah, the first time I bring up the exersaucer for each of my babies, it entertains everyone else! Zoey enjoys it as well!
