Last night, I took Ellie and her friend Christina, to Partridge Creek to have dinner and walk around the mall. The girls had fun hanging out and shopping. Then we came home and the girls had ice cream and hung out for a while. Ellie had a great time!
Ellie had her first Lacrosse game on Friday. She didn’t get the ball a lot, but she’s getting more comfortable and learning the rules better. It will be a fun season to watch her play something new!
We went to best really late after getting in from our trip and go up early to go to Church. We’re so grateful to be home and able to go to church. We’re thankful for our Savior, Jesus Christ, and know that he suffered and died for us, and that He LIVES! Our neighbors Bob and Donna always give yummy treats to our kids at Easter as well. They gave them big chocolate bunnies… They are always so sweet. Happy Easter!
On Saturday the 30th (day before Easter), we were driving home and our van started chugging and doing weird things. We pulled off the freeway near Knoxville TN. We called AAA and had a tow truck pull our van to a Honda dealership. We were really nervous that we might have to stay the night, Easter Day, and part of Monday to get the van fixed so we could get home. Thankfully, our van broke down in a city large enough to have a Honda dealership close by, and it happened around 11 am. The dealership closed 4:30 pm, and they were able to squeeze us in and replace the broken alternator right before they closed!! Blessings for sure! We didn’t get home until around 12:30 am on Sunday. We are so thankful that we didn’t have to stay anywhere for the night!
The girls were tired and wanted to hang out in the morning, so Ethan and the boys were the only ones that went over to Universal Studios for the morning. After putting out things in the van and checking out of the hotel, I took the girls over to the outlet mall and shopped at Old Navy while the boys were at the park. We came back to the hotel and picked up Ethan and the boys then we headed to Georgia for the night.
We took a shuttle in the morning and spent the entire day at Universal Studios. We had a great time visiting all our favorite places as well as some new things, then walked back to the hotel for the night.
On the 27th, we drove to Daytona Beach in the morning to play in the waves for a couple hours. Then we drove back to the hotel, showered and walked over to Universal Studios. We stayed until the park closed then walked back to the hotel. That night, Ethan and I did laundry. On our way back up to our hotel room on the 9th floor, the elevator doors wouldn’t open and we got stuck inside for 15 minutes… the elevator would go up and down to different levels but the doors wouldn’t open! Finally, the doors opened randomly on floor 7, so we got off and took another elevator up to the 9th floor. That was quite an experience at midnight.
