Last P-day!

Well this is the last letter you are going to get from your son as a missionary (hopefully that brought some tears to your eyes because it did to mine). And it is going to be short... hahaha and I dont have a crazy story like you that I just cut my finger off. I am excited to see your finger tomorrow? Well I am excited to be able to talk with you guys tomorrow.

Question... Kenna mentioned something about a girl that is staying at the house? Is she going to be there when we talk. Who is she? how did you meet her? Sorry for the questions (I didnt really understand Kennas Spanish.... hahahahahaha sorry) Well hope everything is doing good. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

2 Weeks & Counting...

So this is probably going to be a short e-mail too. We really haven't found anyone new to work with this whole time that I have been here. You are right, it is super hard to leave someone ready to be baptized and then get to another area where there is pretty much nothing...

About the phone call home, I can use Skype and I am going to do it on Christmas the 25th... We are going to have to use mine for both of the calls. He is going to call his family at 5:00 and then I will call you when he is done. Like 6:15-6:45. Unless you guys can't and if you cant just tell me next week so we can hurry and set everything good. The mission Christmas party was o.k. It was different from last year but it was still good. :) I had fun. They call Santa, Santa here... hahaha

The area I am in is really big and has a lot of potential to be really good. But with the companion I have and not being able to knock on doors and all these little changes, it is taking more time than it should to flourish... But I am now just trying to focus on starting it up good for the next Elders that are going to be here. I don't know what I like more... Being in the city or far away from everything; they both have their perks.

As for the going home, I have no idea what is going to happen. I assume I am going to stay in my area until Sunday night. I hope so at least. I don't think that we are going to go to the temple either. I don't know if I ever told you guys, but for this last change, I am District Leader. Nothing too big and it is a lot different than I thought it would be.

I wanna see Tally!

YOU GOT TO SEE TALLY!!! THAT IS CRAZY AWESOME!!! hahaha The pictures are awesome. I am super jealous of you hahahaha That is soo cool, He looks good, hahaha I like his suspenders... hahahaha That is cool that he is doing so good. Did he have an accent when he talked? What did his companion think about the visit? He looks like he is enjoying himself up there in New York.

I am doing good, things have gotten slightly better, I think my companion is getting tired of me trying to tell him to stop doing some of the things that he does. But it has gotten better. So this last week we got to go to a sealing of a family in the ward, it was really cool but not what I was expecting at all... It was a lot shorter than I was expecting. hahaha But it was still really good. That is good that Jenni is doing good with the baby, they looked awesome. I am excited to get home to be able to see her, (the baby, not Jenny... hahahaha).

They have not told us anything about the Christmas phonecall yet. But as soon as I know you will know, dont worry. We are going to have our ward Christmas party not this Thursday but in two weeks. I am excited for it. But they kinda do it weird where every family brings their own food and the ward really doesnt do anything. For New Years I would like to see as many people as possible hahaha Family and what friends I have left that arent on their missions... Riley is actually the only one I can think of that I really want to see. Tell him he needs to come at least say hi to me but doesnt have to stay. He can leave and go to his parties... hahahaha oh, and all the friends from the ward. And if it is possible I would like some Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup... :) with bread bowls :) hehehe.

I am making a list of things to tell you this phone call to set everything good for when I get home and what I want to do and stuff like that... Cause I know you will be asking, so I will try to be prepared. hahahaha Just make sure to bring a couple blankets so I dont freeze... Hahaha I am really dreading the cold...

Frustrated!

Hey guys, how ya doing? I am o.k... not too happy with everything that has been happening this last week here. I cant believe I got transferred too, I was actually kinda mad about it... hahaha and no my companion didnt get transferred. My new companion and the work stinks right now. My companion is so DEAD it is not even funny. It is ridiculous. This is not how I wanted to end my mission... They didnt baptize last transfer and they have absolutely no one here to work with. We have a couple of kids and one youth but they have been investigators for a while now, they are called eternal investigators and the majority of them usually dont get baptized.

My companions attitude is absolutely horrible. I dont think that he can say anything good about anyone that is not his friend in the mission or in the ward. He always talks about things he shouldnt and he is way to preocupied about things that dont concern the mission. He also doesnt stop talking about how bad he wants to get home and out of the mission. I am super frustrated right now. Because I dont know the area to take over and I cant contact people in the streets so I dont know what else to do. I think I am just going to punch him to bring him to his senses and start working. Actually, what I have heard is that he has been like this pretty much his whole mission. He has had like 18 companions and like 10 areas. That is way not normal and it is because no one wants him. At least the other kinda bad companions kinda worked and wanted to do it. He just complains about everything and doesnt want to do more than eat, play soccer, and thats about it....

Sounds like all the Christmas stuff went up good... The week before I left Carmen (my last area) We helped an awesome family set up their Christmas tree and Christmas stuff. That family was awesome and I miss them a lot. It was really fun though. I am super excited to see all these changes that have happened to the house... hahaha

Lucky! hahaha I really liked New York, it was really fun. We did some awesome stuff out there hahaha Well remember to do your homework. I am trying super hard not to die too, but it is really hard... I am going to try to change a lot of things with him so that the work can change and get better but I dont think he is going to like it or even want to do it. So I guess we will see how that goes.

Well hope your week in NY goes well and the girls do good in their schooling and stuff. When are their breaks this year? Have a good week, do your homework, and talk to ya next week :)

No Thanksgiving in Mexico

Hey Mom,

I am doing good, I actually kinda forgot about Thanksgiving... I dont even remember the date that it falls on, like the third Thursday or something like that. I am sure the injury has got to be ruff on her, I know it was for me to be watching everyone play and not be able to do really anything to help them. You can cheer... but it isnt the same. I am glad that she isnt letting it get to her though. Now she just needs to know that she needs to come off of this injury sprinting and be even stronger when she gets back.

No you didnt tell me that Kenna made the basketball team! hahaha That is awesome, and I with her am super excited to see her play. I dont know how much of a help I will be to her because I havent really played basketball in two years... But I will try to help her... haha

Glad you liked my letter, just remember to do the homework. ;) hahahaha I actually told my companion while I was putting it in the drop box thing that when you got the letter you would probably cry... hahahahahahahahaha I still kinda know you even after two years being gone ;) hahahaha I honestly dont need anything, and even if I did I wouldnt ask for it... There really is no need, seeing that I will be coming home this month. I am leaving a lot of things behind in this house because I just dont want to take it because I know I will just leave it behind when I leave. Dont worry, I am sure I will stil be a por driver when I get home. Just a few review crashes and I should be set ;) hahaha

Well unfortunately I am being changed again... I am not very excited about it either. I am now going to be in Hidalgo, Villahermosa. My companions name is Elder V. So I dont really know what to expect because I have never been to Villahermosa before except for when I pass through it on the bus and then I am usually asleep so I really have no idea. We had so much good planned this December to do here. We have like 4 baptisms ready, lots of good activities, and the members were getting excited to start working with this new way. So next week I will let you know all the details about the new area and everything.

6 Weeks...

Hey mom, We just had one baptism this last Saturday :) It went really well and we have like 3 or 4 that we are preparing right now for their own baptisms. :) So things are going good :) NO we never have any big things like that for the youth, except for last Saturday and today they went paintballing. That is awesome that McKenna got her card on her birthday :) That means Dad got his card? I dont remember what cards got sent home together hahaha. Well I am doing good, nothing really too new here... hahah Changes are next week, and my companion wants to leave.. hahaha not because of me but because he has been in the area three transfers and if he stays with me to "kill" me, he will be here for at least 5 transfers. And that is a long time. Everything is going good though: I am doing good and Sounds like you all are too :)

Cow Heart..Ugh!

Well I also dont really have much to write about this week.... hahaha We had a good week though. Just all the stuff that happened is just normal stuff that you have already heard. This last Sunday it was Stake Conference. It was this stakes first conference and it was really really good. We had 5 people in church and we have two baptismal dates. One for this week and the week after too :) They are super ready and they are awesome people too :) I have had lots of fun teaching them.

Wow... look at you guys go hahaha you already had mormon.org accounts. hhahaha I honestly dont really know how this is all going to work with using the internet and stuff. But that is why we are going to be studying it for 2 hours a week... hahaha Yes I do remember my Facebook password. I am 98% sure that is it. If I am right, I will have a lot of friend requests... hahahaha

Kenna and Dad should be getting cards soon... hahahaha hopefully that is.... Well I really dont know what else to write... hahaha I had my temple interview with President Casteñeda this last Saturday and passed ;) hahaha But it only lasts unitl January, so I will need to have an interview with the bishop set up.Oh, I also ate cow heart... that was weird. It didnt taste bad, but it did taste different. I also got a flu shot yesterday... My arm is kinda sore today now though.

Well to end I am going to share three things I learned or liked in the Stake Conference:

1. In Stake Conference, if there is not an Apostle there the Stake President represents them and is basically an Apostle in these two hours of conference.

2. "To receive Celestial Glory we HAVE to give more than a terrestial effort."

3. "God´s love is unconditional, but his blessings are conditioned"

Travel Plans :o)

I will be getting home December 31, 2012 at 4:44 p.m. Ugh I didnt like getting this, I have a sick feeling in my tummy hahahaha I dont know why. I will be coming home with Elder Hartvigsen, my past companion. :)

Hey Mom and Dad,

Well I am doing good, I didnt really like getting the flight plans, my tummy went all funny feeling... hahaha But I would like to ask a favor from everyone is that they dont write me about home or anything like that until at least the tenth of December or 12-10-2012 or December 10, 2012. Thanks :) But I will answer these few questions that you have already asked. I personally dont think I am trunky... here we call it dead... hahaha I do want people to come over the day that I get home. I think it would be more exciting and everything. I would like my first meal from home to be homemade chicken noodle soup. But I kinda wanna eat Panda too seeing how it was my last last last meal that I ate before I went into the MTC.

Another crazy thing is changing in the mission. Now, we are going to start teaching using Mormon.org. So once a week starting this week we need to study it for two hours. We need to teach with that and encourage everyone to go there members included. So if you have time would you and each member of the family make an account on it. That would be awesome. I am making one next week as a missionary.

Well w had 4 people in the church this week but they werent the people we were expecting to come. 2 of them were new people and the other two are people that arent sure yet if the want to get baptized or not. The other one we were really hoping for had some problems because she is taking tests for this whole week in her school. So we cant even go and visit her this week because she is going to be at school almost all day everyday. Today I bought a cool Nike watch that is touchscreen... hahaha It was only $20. But it is really cool, I havent worn a watch since middle school ... But I think I am starting to like them again.

Well I am doing good, I am still healthy and weigh about 147 lbs. hahahaha Well I think that is about all I have for you. Thanks for everything. Also, I did get my birthday package. Thanks it was awesome. :) Love you guys.!!!!!

Short & Sweet

Hey so I dont have a lot of time this week. So I will only be able to answer some of your questions and in a combined letter too.

Well my new comp is good, he doesnt talk very much in lessons so I am going to try to get him to talk more and stuff like that, he only has 3 months in his mission so it is kinda normal. Like I said he is from Guatamala and he is fun to be with too. So everything is going good with the companion side.

What color are you painting the basement? You are painting the ceiling too? I started to paint a house but then the lady didnt want us to come back... hahahaha she didnt like that we were trying to preach to her while we were there. She is Catholic and her daughter in law is a member so she is the one that invited us but the grandman doesnt want us to come back.

Speaking about changes in the mission, there are four new requirement for the missionaries in order to baptize someone now. 1. They have to attend church 4 times and at least twice alone. 2. They have to obey the Word of Wisdom for 30 days, and if they break it the 29th day they have to do it all over again. 3. They have to have an assignment before they are baptized. 4. We cant baptize little kids unless they have someone over the age of 15 to help them progress spiritually. So there are the changes. Also we arent allowed to contact anymore, we have to ask for references and we are going to be working with the real growth of the church with the less active members and bringing them back and baptizing any parts of their families that arent members.

Our investigators are doing good, we have like 6 right now that are doing good, they just need to attend church once more and they are good to go. I am doing good and happy.

Letter & Pictures

Well in order to write you both I am going to only write one letter to the both of you... hahaha

WHAT!!!!! I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT JESSICAS KNEE, Everyone said she was hurt but they didnt say how bad it was... holy cow its her flippen ACL!!! I also didnt know it was because she played in the Powder Puff thing... hahahaha Hope everything goes well....

Well here is the conference Story: Saturday we get to the church and there is no internet to get to see the conference and there was quite a few people there to see it. So we (my companion and I) were running around trying to get the Internet to start working. Then my companion said lets go outside to see if there is something wrong. So we go outside and see that is disconnected from the powerlines. So we go and get the ladder to see if we can fix it. My companion tried to go up first but when he got up he hurried and came down and said he felt sick up there hahahaha so I go up and he kept telling me to do things that didnt make sense because the things he said to connect werent there... So there was no way to connect the Internet because the other part of the line wasnt there. So we go back inside and sit down because there wasnt anything else to do... but right when I sat down a thought came into my mind that said "something isnt right outside" and I thought afterwards ya there isnt something right outside. . . there is no cable to connect it to. Then the thought came again "something isnt right outside" and then I said, O.K. and told my companion to follow me and I walked outside and looked at it and then felt that I needed to look down the street. And when I did I saw the cord that we needed. I dont know what had happened but only our cord was broken and it was halfway down the street.... hahahaha So we went and brought it and I climbed up the ladder and hooked it up again and we then had internet! hahaha it was such a cool experience!!! One of the other Elders took a picture of me up the ladder fixing it but I just need to wait for him to send it to me and then I will send it to you.

Softball I dont want to talk about because we didnt end up playing... I was super super super super frustrated! so we will leave it at that.
So I am now in a part called Ciudad del Carmen and my companions name is Elder A, he is from Guatamala. We are specifically in the area called Carmen and the ward has the same name. It is pretty nice. There is a beach but we went today and the sand is horrible. I would not recommend it to anyone. It was pure seashell and beer caps... hahaha Well we have some pretty big plans for this area. We are going to baptize 12 more people before the end of the year. We already have 3 or 4 people that are ready to be baptized. :) But something crazy is happening in the mission right now. They are now changing it so that the investigator has to attend church 4 times in a row!!!, if they have problems with the Word of Wisdom they have to be clean and not used one of the things for 1 whole month, and they have to have something to do in the church before they can be baptized... That is crazy!!! hahahahaha it is not official yet but they are trying to put it in soon. Well I dont have anything new to write about. Except my birthday is this Wednesday and no one knows about it here.... hahaha In my last area they were planning a party and people were making me presents. So that made me really sad when I left, I might have even shed a tear or so. But oh well hahaha They said that they would send me the presents when they finished making them... hahahaha I really loved it there. :)

OCTOBER 8, 2012

Well you sent me a giant letter but I dont have much time to send you one though. Did you tell them that I should come home the 31st? About the missionary comment, I dont know if I like it..... because when I get home I am going to be looking for girls of that age to go out with. . . hahahahaha But now they are all going to be on missions!!! HAHAHAHA

The baptism this Saturday went really good, She is from about 4 hours from here but she grew up in a town that spoke a dialect of Spanish. Well I dont have my camera with me so I cant send pictures, but next week I will. Sorry for the short letter. Remind me to tell you a cool story about the Internet and the Conference, I dont have time today to tell you but it is really cool.

Dear Family,

I am doing good :) This week was good and we saw lots of good things come out of it. We have a baptismal date for this Saturday and we are really struggling to teach her. We are struggling because she doesnt speak Spanish very well. She knows a Dialect and is learning how to speak Spanish right now. . . hahahaha weird. But she loves going to the church and she told us she liked it better than the other places she had visited.

Glad you had a good time on your cruise. I am still jealous! hahaha Hope it was everyhing you guys were waiting for. Hope grandpa and grandma liked it too. Yes the pin number worked and everything went good. Well today I got a call from the offices letting me know that they are getting ready to buy my tickets for the return flight home... that wasnt the greatest feeling... hahaha But they wanted to know if I had any school things planned for when I get back I told them that I didnt think so and that they were going to call you and make sure. If you want me to start when I get home tell them that you have plans... It really doesnt matter to me that much if I start or dont start. So you can tell them what you want. hahaha If I dont go to school I will be coming home January 7 and if I am going to school I will come home December 31.

Well this week we have a pretty good week planned out and the Conference to end it so it should be a very good week. :) I am really excited. We have lots of things to do.

Well this isnt a very big letter either... hahahaha I dont know what to write about, there hasnt been anything new. Oh, I gave a talk on Sunday and that is about it for the new.... hahahah

Thanks and I am glad that this card made it to me this time hahaha. I dont know if you already sent my birthday package I thought of three things you could add: Licorice, Sunflower seeds, and allergy pills.
Well this week went o.k. We havent had baptisms in a while but we are working hard to ffind them right now, we have a lot of people to teach but they just dont keep their commitments, like any of them. They like to listen to us and they do something like once every four times we go. They say they received an answer but then they dont do anything afterwards ..... hahahaha So we are going to talk about the faith with them and tell them it needs works to work... hahaha I think that might wake them up a bit.
Well I am going to send another e-mail with a ton of pictures so I am going to end this right now.

Hey mom I am doing good. No the house was not as dirty as the other house but it had a lot of dust and other stuff that were making my allergies go crazy and the bathroom was stinky so we cleaned that too. Things with the companion are going fine. He does like to play soccer and apparently all the other sports too, we will see just how good he is at them too ;) hahahahaha That is where I am competitive not being the first to get to the house or be in front of him to walk. We went to the ruins today and I took a lot of pictures for your class :) I will send those next week for you.

The work is doing good, we just didnt have any success this week in bringing people to church. We have lots of people to teach and most of them are really good and keeping their commitments and everything. They just overslept or something on Sunday hahaha But next week will be better dont worry. The members feed us and we do our laundry in the house of a member, but the member does not actually do it for us.
Have fun on your cruise. Sounds like it is going to be really fun. TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES to send to me hahahaha And make sure to give everyone a hug for me when you see them all. Also have lots of fun. Well Sounds like you have had a fun day, I never want to have to get a shot in my heel!!! I just cringe at the very thought of it... hahahaha yucky!!!! As for my package, could you send like 8ish AA batteries, one more thing of Peanut butter, goldfish(original), and just other snacky stuff..... I dont think I really need anything else, because it will be hard to bring things home.... hahahaha you know how I am a pack Rat. Oh, they told us that our flight plans will be out in the middle of October.

SEPTEMBER 10, 2012

I have not heard anything about a release date, you will probably know faster than me, and when you do know will you please let me know. :) Thanks Souds like the sports are all doing good right now, Eagles and BYU won and then Utah lost! wahoo :)
My new companions name is Elder S______. He is really good, a bit competitive and kinda funny in that aspect. But he is really good, He might just be my favorite Mexican companion. I just taught him how to do the rubiks cube. hahahaha He is from the north of Mexico, right below Texas. I dont know how to spell his city´s name but when I do I will let you know. He has 7 months in the mission. Money has been fine, There havent been any too big problems.
As to my birthday request, well I would like. . . . . I really have no idea... hahahaha I will think of some things this week and let you know next monday.
Well this is all I have time to write. Sorry Love you Guys. We got late because we cleaned the house, it is awesome to have another companion that likes a clean house. :)

What a teaser for next week!

Hey mom, so a quick little letter, It was planned to be a big one with cool pics but with transfers happeneing today that kinda changed things. I am going to get a new companion now, His name is Elder Sanchez. I will send you information about him next week. SOunds like you guys are having fun painting. I like to paint, I wish I was there to help with just that. hahahaha Well they shouldnt be baptizing in the ocean hahahaha the President got mad at us when we asked him telling us that if we had a font it was to use not just sit there and be dry. So I have been in two places that I could have baptized in the ocean but the Pres. said no.
Memory cards are good, the one that all got erased I havent touched and today I cleaned off the one I am using and put some of the pictures on my USB that I bought. I was actually going to ask you about your cruise. I thought it was in August and then I didnt hear anything about it so I thought you didnt go. Hhahahahaha tell Bepp to put his big boy panties on and stop worrying hahahahahaha

WHAT JESSICA WENT ON A DATE!!!!!! AND SHE DIDNT ASK MY APPROVAL. TO GO ON A DATE WITH A BOY SHE HAS TO SEND ME HIS ADDRESS, HIS FULL NAME, A PICTURE, WHAT HE LIKES TO DO, HIS FAVORITE COLOR, AND IF HE LIKES MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP ICE CREAM!!!! Who is the kid she went on a date with...............

Air Conditioning & A Baptism

Well I am writing you guys a letter together for the lack of time that I have...... Well as you can see our last two baptisms went through :) They were really good, You could see a huge change in the family when we first started teaching them and when we finished. It was awesome, one of the coolest experiences on my mission so far.
Well sounds like Kenna and Dad are going to be kicking some butt this fall.... Sounds like I am going to miss a good season. Good thing I will be home for the spring season to see it all :) Definitely should send some pictures when they start playing :)
Well the teaching is going pretty good, the only bad thing is that the people that we had baptismal dates with didnt come to church this Sunday. I guess we never could get ahold of them either to teach or talk with them this entire week either so I think that might be the reason. Well other than that everything is going good. We are moving houses tomorrow because the one that we are living in right now is too expensive..... But the good thing is that we will still have AC! hahahaha I am really starting to like this air conditioning.

Weekly Letter

Hey mom :)

So this is going to be a better letter hahaha
Things are a lot better, we are waking up on time and going to bed on time, and he is even doing a little exercising with me. hahaha Well the baptism wasnt for any missionaries it was a girl that turned 8 but here we have to do it anyway... the planning that is. It is a big no no to do on a Monday and I told them that but they didnt listen to me. We have only gotten to play soccer twice and yes it was pretty fun and still the shock on their faces that an American playing soccer still makes me smile. ;) hahahaha The member support is really good. There are a lot of people, so there are those that like to help us and work with us and others not so much. It is a branch here and the normal attendance is around 135. There are four missionaries for this branch... I dont like it very much but it is o.k. the other missionaries are pretty good. :)
My finger is fine, that is what everyone else told me to about the lime and stuff. It was weird though because I usually never eat them so I didnt believe them when they told me that. But now it is mostly gone. You couldnt have picked a cleaner replacement door fo the garage... hahahahaha That is pretty funny though. Boy I am sure glad that I am not home right now hahahaha I would be run ragged. ;) hahahahaha When I read your paragraph about Bubba I laughed out loud when I got to the part "I love Horses!" hahahahahahaha I thought it was so random and it didnt make sense to me at all until I finished reading the paragraph hahaha. (It was a typo...It should have said HE loves horses)
I have never seen that mexican fruit bar. It sounds nasty hahaha With the package that got stolen, the only things that I didnt get were the whoppers( that I was going to give to a family in my last ward), my credit card, and my pills. I got everything else though. So all I really need are the pills.
Well this week we have planned 2 baptisms that are for sure, and then 2 others that we are going to put a baptismal date on. So the work is going good and we are having fun. The only thing is is that we need to start talking with more people, it is the hardest thing to do for me, not talk to them but take time out of the planned schedule to contact people. hahaha I dont know why. I am training for the marathon every Monday running about a 5k in about 25 minutes. hahaha It is weird to go running. I think that is about it. I will send you pictures of the baptism next week.

At least I hear from him each week....

From a good letter and pictures to this week where there was a baptism scheduled at 5:30 with now no time to write or do anything. We havent washed our clothes either..... hahahaha oops. well I am doing good, we have a couple baptisms planned in a couple weeks. Things have gotten a little better with my comp. I am in Palenque Chiapas Mexico. Well we had an interview with the president last friday and kinda scared my comp about the obedience so I think it is going to be a lot better.

Much better letter...

Hey mom, just always remember that I love you ;) hehehehehe The Big set back was just a bunch of little things that happened that were kinda funky that took up a lot of time to do. About the picture of the Coke, I know that you didnt send it to me and yes that was my package. They robbed me is what I was trying to show, and then they put the coke stuff in the package so that it weighed the same and stuff like that. They robbed the whopper box and the credit card from the package. You should have told me about the rock in the package... hahahaha I just threw it away without a second thought... hahahaha I thought it was just something that they put in the package to make it weigh more. hahahahaha
HOLY COW that game sounded absolutely insane!!! USA USA USA USA hahahaha we were eating one day in the house of a member and in the other room they were watching the swimming. We could only hear the announcers. hahaha But you hear the announcer say "The Americans are very prideful in this event" and then one lady laughs and says "what are they not prideful in". Then they just ended up destroying the other teams, and I said "That is why we are prideful" hahahhaha It was funny hahahaha
Well the area that I am now in is both big and small. Big because everything is all spread out, small because there arent that many inhabitants in my part of the city. But it is still pretty good size. They have everything that I need so I am happy, that have a store called Chedraui, which is basically a Mexican Wal-Mart so it is really good. :) The apartment I have is crazy!!! It has air conditioning and heated water. It isnt very big but with that stuff it makes up for the size. I dont like the hot water but the air conditioning is pretty nice, especially at night to go to bed. :) My new companions name is Elder L, he is from Peru and he is really short. He likes to play soccer and stuff too so this could be pretty fun. He is o.k. I have definitely had better companions but I have also had worse companions too... hahahaha Speaking of old companoins. Remember the Elder O, that I didnt like very much.... He also served in Palenque and when I got moved here, he had come back to visit everyone. hahahaha It was kind of a awkward meeting. It was also weird because everyone called him by his first name but I couldnt, I had to call him Elder O. hahahaha
About the pictures, the first two are of a weird little mark that has appeared on my finger... hahaha the members say that it isnt a problem and that I shouldn´t worry. Then the next two are of a sunset that happened here a couple days ago, it was pretty cool, and then the next two are of the place where we ran by today in the morning. It was nice to get out and run hahahaha Havent just ran to run in about 19 months... hahahaha By the way you can now count the months I have left on one single hand ;) hahahha I just realized that.
Well I hope that you liked this letter a little bit better. Thanks for everything. :() Love you guys and have a good week at camp and doing everything else for me.

Sorry I didn't get this posted last week, but there wasn't much to post! Good thing he is really far away or I might have had to go strangle him. Way to leave me hanging about the weird package pictures in his last letter and then tell me the had a major set back and doesn't have any food. Here is the letter, if you can even call it that!

Hey family, how are you all doing? I am doing really good here in Palenque, Sorry for this really short letter. We had a really big set back today and it didnt leave us very much time to do anything else, not even buy food for the week :/ hahahaha
I am good, you will get a really good letter next week with a lot of pictures too :) So once again sorry for the short e-mail.
Tell JD I would love to do the marathon with him when I get back. :)

Mail in Mexico...

Well I am getting transfered this upcoming tomorrow ;) hahahaha I am going to the place with all the cool ruins and stuff that everyone wants to see. So I am really excited to be going there. I also got my package... thanks for the coca cola bottles... I think I got robbed hahaha because the credit card wasnt in there. But thanks for everything else.
This week was good, we had a special conference with a seventy named Elder De Hoyos and I got my package. Here are some pictures and I will send you more info about the area next week sorry I just got your letter but I have to go thanks. :)

The funny thing about this letter is that I did NOT send him any coke, but the rock looks just like the one we sent him. It is a piece of the Mesa Arizona Temple. I wonder what else was traded out of his package... Tune in next week when I will be able to find out exactly what really arrived in the package he got.

Catching up...

Sorry to those of you who follow this blog. I got behind on posting Kristopher's letters because the last few weeks of school were crazy! Then, for a while, Kristopher's letters were of a personal nature and I didn't want to post them. I have had a very busy summer and just haven't had the time to sit down and edit his letters and post them. I am going to do a catch up post today and then I promise I will stay on top of his letters for the last 5 1/2 months!!!

Hey mom, sorry about the short letters hahaha but this week is going to be better and it has pictures too ;) hahaha Do the windows really make that big of a difference...? hahaha If they really do, how does it make a difference, is it a different type of glass? My room looks funky without a window hahaha

I always wanted to go to that place,Momentum Rock Climbing but they were closed when I found out about it. It looks really cool though, we are definitely going to have to go when I get home. Were there hard courses there? or was it just a big rock wall you could climb on? I dont think that I ever have participated in the neighborhood parade when I was home, I was always doing something different, or I just dont remember it. You should clean my room last so that there is less time for it to get dirty with dust before I get home.

Yes I took some of the money out of my account before they could cancel it on me... hahaha That is still really weird how they did it, I still have my card and the other card wasnt active, So I am really confused how they did it... hahaha And for my package I think that one more thing of Peanut Butter would be good to end the mission. I cant think of anything that I desperately need right now in this next 5 1/2 months hahaha But thanks, and just so you know I am in the middle of writing you a letter hahahaha

I am doing really good, Everything is going good, we are working hard and just not having very many fruits from our labors. Today we went to the beach with some of the youth of our ward. It was really fun, but my feet got really sunburnt, I totally forgot to put sun block on them, I put it on everywhere else but my feet. We have some good work coming this week and next time that I write you I will know about my transfers that I am probably going to have, I say that because I have 6 months in this area. We are doing good here, nothing much has changed, three people came to church this week and they were a complete surprise because they dont live here in Paraiso... hahahaha

Well I have to tell you a story real quick before I go. A couple days ago I wake up at 4:00 in the morning to Elder L slamming the door shut. I asked him what he was doing and he told me that a rabbit had gotten into the house. I didnt believe him because we live on the third floor and the door is shut downstairs and I have never seen a rabbit before in Mexico... hahaha so I thought he was dreaming and just laughed at him... He then insisted and told me to get my flashlight so that he could prove it. So I got it and sure enough on the stairs there was a rabbit just sittin there... hahahahaha So we shut our door and went back to bed. Then this rabbit entered into my dream and somehow he had opened the door and Elder Lundell wakes up and yells at the top of his lungs THE RABBIT IS BACK!!!!!!! hahahaha Then dove on the top of the kitchen counter and then the rabbit came and jumped on me in my bed, I then kick it off and then the dream ended. hahahaha It was such a weird and funny thing that happened ahahahaha.

The mission has defintiely flown by for me, it feels like I just was eating my Panda Express walking into the MTC with my little orange dot on my nametag. Holy cow that baptism Asey's sounds like a madhouse. Your talk sounds really cool though. I am bummed out that I didnt get to see it. I am sure you did really good and everyone was edified by the spirit you brought.

Well This week wasnt anything special. We havent had much success lately, but this Sunday a guy told us that he would like to be baptized this next upcoming weeks. All we need to do know is see if he is married or not. That is the only thing that could hold him out for a bit...

Well yes we were kinda really busy hahahaha. But the thing is is that we didnt put the goals... our zone leaders put them up there for us. It went well ...... hahahaha of the 280 contacts we did 218 and then of the 50 lessons we only did 21. :/ But it was definitely not from lack of effort. hahaha I have never been so tired in my mission! We would get home and we would be just absolutely dead hahaha The people that randomly showed up at church were "just going with her friend to not make her feel alone" but they really dont want anything from us. So that was kinda a bummer. We really dont have anyone that we are teaching teaching right now. All of them have just not wanted it or their parents/family has told them they cant listen to us. So we are on a bit of a down patch right now in the work. We do have two good ones, but with all the election things going on here they have had to help with all that and havent had very much time to listen to us. But now that everything is done it should be a lot better for the work. Yes I will probably be transfered July 22, for probably the last time in the mission. Also, there are rumors that we might get sent home early for Christmas this year too.... But it is just rumors that we have heard from missionaries that really have no clue hahahaha

Holy cow sounds like you had an awesome time on your trip to Virginia. That is crazy, I had no idea that that is how many people died in the war... It is also a lot more because in all the other wars the US has just kicked some "HUNNY-BUNS" (as mushu would say, Mulan,) hahahahaha That fire in Colorado sounds insane, Elder L's family sends him info on it and it sounds like it kicking the firefighters butts he told me that like five other states are helping colorado try to fight it. I wanna be there for this family get together.... hahaha It sounds really fun, what types of things does Debbie have planned? I AM SO JEALOUS YOU GUYS GOT TO GO TO THAT GAME!!! USA Women's National Team vs. Canada hahahaha sounds like it was a good game? who was playing and who won?

The weather has been incredibly hot for right now!!! hahaha We also played soccer today and I dont know what changed but I played really good ahahahaha of the 45 goals that our team made, I am pretty sure I made like 38, and that is not because I am a ball hog or anything like that but it is because I was the only one on the team that knew how to play. I am happy though we didnt lose a game to the Mexican team here hahaha

For Asey´s baptism you could share these scriptures... I never do baptismal talks hahaha I dont know "Alma 7 the last verses", "2 Nephi 31 all is about baptism", "3 Nephi 11 also about baptism. You could talk about the word Hosana and that it means save us and that the first thing that Jesus did was establish baptism, which shows the importance of it",

Hey mom,

Well so it sounds like you are having fun out on your trip thing. The pictures are really cool... I dont really know what you were describing, I dont remember much of the history of the civil war... just that the north won, but barely. I remember that the South had two Generals that just kicked some butt... hahahaha That is kinda cool that you were in the same part as Abraham Lincoln. He was an awesome president ( I almos wrote prophet hahahaha).

Well I am doing good, although we didnt have any of our planned investigators come to church two just randomly showed up and they are really good and want us to come to their house to teach them. I have no idea who they are but we are going to know them this week. Today we played soccer and boy will I have to do some work when I get home hahahaha I am garbage!!! I have lost (almost completely) the touch on the ball, it is so bad that my foot started to hurt because I kicked the ball too much hahahahaha This week is going to be crazy that we are going into. We were asked to teach 50 lessons and 280 contacts for the week. That is 8 lessons and 40 contacts a day.... That is insane.... But we are going to do it so dont even worry about that ;)umm....DELETED INFO...

Wow sounds like you have been busy with all the camps tournaments, preparing for your trip and painting grandmas walls. They do look good though. Kenna Spoke in Sacrament meeting!!! Is she old enough to do that yet?!?!?!?! Just tell Jessica to not date anyone that is close to leaving on a mission.... it is not the funnest for the guy...... hahahaha ;) The kid that you saw on Facebook sent me an e-mail getting mad at me for being on... hahahaha I had no idea what he was talking about when I first read his e-mail, but now I do.

Things are going good here, and We might have a baptism this Saturday. We are going to find out tonight if it is a yes or a no. We have found a couple of good new people and they seem excited to learn and stuff like that. We are doing good, we cleaned again today but it wasnt as bad last time as it was this time.

WE WATCHED CARS 2 TODAY FOR AN ACTIVITY it was awesome hahahaha except for it was scratched so we missed one of the most crucial parts of the movie, will you please let me know how they get the bomb off of Mater at then end. Thanks :) That is the only part that didnt work hahahahaha Well I have more pictures to sent but I dont have time to do it so you will get them next week. So just to warn you about the kinda short letter that you are going to be getting... Wow, it has been a while since I last saw Izzy, or anyone from that grade. That is crazy that Kenna is going to her own little BYU camp!!! I agree with you that she is not old enough to be doing that stuff, at least not until I get home..... The L---S--- is a member of the church and a soon to be missionary. He leaves on his mission to Honduras (like Zach) in August. He is an awesome kid and will be a really good missionary. He also mentioned that he talked with you and with Jessica. That is funny about the translating hahahaha No he took the picture in a ward family night that we were doing. It was on missionary work and we taught them what they needed to do and stuff like that.

Well we do have baptisms lined up but when is just not a sure thing right now hahaha. They are all excited to do it they just havent come to church. They have all had things come up, and I usually get frustrated because they sound made up, but these arent made up because they showed us all their plans hahahaha But next week we should have about 7 or 8 people in church with us. We had 3 this week but they were all surprises from a less active member that decided to come back and bring friends :) Fine with me hahahaha Yes I was smelling the tree, it is a cinamon tree and it smelled really good and the chocolate is alright, you cant really compare many things from here because they are usually not that great. :/ and yes chocolate is one of those things. I tasted one of the chocolates I bought from there and then a Reeses and the Reeses blew the other chocolate away! Things with the companion are doing really well. We got some high goals this change and we are excited to complete them.

As for the "Querido Juan ;) hahahaha HOLY COW That was one of the most unexpected things of my entire life. Not once in her letters did she ever mention that she has been dating (edited for personal info) I used to make fun of the Elders that couldnt handle the DJ.... But now I dont because it really is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.... Becuase here you cant go work out or run and just ware yourself out you cant go play soccer to take your mind off of it. You just have to sit there and take it the hole in your stomach the heart cut in two the need for information the need for a hug from someone else that you love and all these types of feelings you have to shut away and not let it bother you... (edited for content) I honestly dont know what else I can say... I guess that girl that is working with you now doesnt have competition at all.... hahahahaha I think she started dating because I told her I was getting fat... ;) hahahahahaha That is the only way I have been able to deal with it for a bit is with some humor.... But it still just does not go away.

Well this is going to both Dad and Mom...

Well this week here in the mission field started out really well.... but when we hit Friday it turned bad. We started out finding three really good people to teach and they had baptismal dates and were really excited for everything. When we told them they could attend church and everything with the members and participate all they did was smile. But Friday we texts from two of them and one says that his mom says that he doesnt want him listening to us and wont allow that we come over to talk with him. Then the other one apparently changed her mind is going to go back to her other religion that she had.... I am really confused about that one because she told us that she didnt think that is was true.....? But the other one is still doing really good. :) Went to church and everything. It is a family of three: The mom Adela, a daughter Karina (11 years old), and a son ??? (5 years old).

Today we had a kinda random activity for P-day... We went on a tour of a chocolate factory. It was kinda cool. I will send pictures. Have fun with those phone calls dad.... That is one part that I do not want to do when I get back. I think that is the only thing I dont want to do though... Sounds like the NBA Playoffs are crazy right now. Who are in them.... You just mentioned players from Ok. City I would assume it is them and San Antonio and Miami and somebody else.... hahahaha Of all the things that I am missing I think missing the Olympics is one of the biggest things I am going to miss. I loved watching all the events and watching US kick some butt. hahahahaha I cant wait to talk some trash to the members when it starts ;) hahahahaha They alwayse give me a hard time that Mexico is better than US in soccer.

That is awesome that Kenna is starting to really like soccer. I knew she liked it but now she is starting to love it and really want to do it. :) I wish I could still be watching those videos... They are so cool hahahahaha Well nothing new has happened. I am going to give a talk in two Sundays on missionary work. We are also going to sing If you could hie to Kolob with a couple members in a mix of Spanish and English :) It is going to be cool :) Well I dont know if there is much else to write about.... Oh yeah one more thing :´( Kims sent the ever dreaded Dear John letter :( I hope she likes the letters that I sent her just barely.... I hope she realizes that I wrote them before I knew she was going to do this. But oh well, I guess we will have to see what happens :( I dont think I can explain how I feel either. It is kinda a weird feeling :/ But dont worry it wont distract me, I am not here to be distracted :) So ya I think that is it. Well hope you all have a good week :) Be safe and play hard :) hahaha

Hey Mom sounds like you guys are really busy hahahaha I am so glad I am not there right now. hahaha No they didnt come again Yesterday one of them wasnt home and the other one hurt his back and cant move/support his weight. The other one came though :) Your suppost to paint something on the drive way every year??? I dont think in my 20 years of living we have ever done that... hahaha Send me a before and after picture to see if it really changes anything. Your going to take out my flowerbed!!! hahahaha Remember when we made the American flag in it?

Sounds like you are going to be the oldie in your room hahahaha I love being very far away and able to say things like that hahahaha You should send me a picture of the girl teacher so that I can judge for myself..... She has pretty high competition.... ;) It is a good thing that she got full time too because she is from BYU and the other you couldnt even remember what the school was called. Dad sounds like he is having a blast. I am glad he is having so much fun doin all this stuff. I am excited to see how it all goes. OUCH!!! He tore his Achilles Tendon!!!!! That had to hurt so bad. I hope he gets better soon. Tell them hi for me :)

In the house we have two fans that kinda help... They just blow that hot air at us.... at nights it is usually not too bad though.

We did have our baptism this last Friday. I baptized her and I had to do it three times.... There wasnt a lot of water in the font because we have a bad filler upper thing for the font. So we ended up baptizing her on her knees. It was kinda weird to baptize someone on my knees but it worked :) There will be pictures included along with a couple other ones. One is kinda cool we were at the ruins and we heard a voice but we didnt understand it till the thrid time. Then we saw a pillar of light.... hahahahaha Just kidding thats pretty cool though:)

Yes, I am senior companion. But that doesnt really change anything all I have to do is talk on the phone more... hahaha only 11 more days left of school and these are always the longest days of the year ;) hehehe I hope that you find someone good to work with you too, I will be a prayin for ya :) Grandma did tell me and that is awesome that JD is going to be Bishop. He is going to do an awesome job! Yes you did tell me about your Civil War Tour hahaha it sounds really good and cool. What parts are you going to? I dont remember what you told me about it...

We got a couple new people this week that are really good and we also have a baptism planned for this Friday that is coming up :) The coming to church is a little better but a lot of the people still didnt come. I dont like the shoulder bags that you can buy, I much rather would prefer a backpack. And the best thing that happened is that Three investigators came to church and the worst thing is.... that we are kinda in a fight about the priests baptizing the investigators right now... They say it is the duty but also is there duty to teach and preach too. It is in D&C 20 where it talks about the duties of the offices of the priesthood.

Well not much has changed either here...since we talked on Mother's Day hahahaha I did remember one thing that I forgot to tell you guys. So for some reason in my wallet both my credit cards started to break. The mission one is almost completely broken in two and the home one is about halfway from splitting in two... I have no idea how it happened becuase not one other hard has been broken or even looks like they have been bent... So I dont know what we can do but I just thought I would let you know.

Thanks for the pictures hahaha they are awesome. I really like the one with Papa Paul and Grandma Dixie and me in my black alta shirt. Well nothing much has happened so I dont know what else to write.

Today we tried to figure out why the water still stinked when it came into the toilet. So we opened up the back part and it was black full of gross stuff (dont know what it is called). So I cleaned that and put some smelly stuff in it to make it better. Then we cleaned out the drains in the house because they were kinda clogged. They are all clean now and it smells even better in the bathroom. :) It rained like crazy too! While we were outside taking our clothes to get washed... So we got there and had to stay there for like and hour and a half until the rain calmed down. We didnt really do anything today because of the rain. The ruin picture is just something in the area that we passed :)

But I am just going to use these for Sundays and this Saturday night I am going to fix my other ones so they can dry and stuff over Sunday and then I can use them for the rest of the week. They are kinda funky shoes but it is what everyone down here uses. I will send a picture of them next week or something.
