Happy Birthday Bennett!

Our birthday boy woke up to find his present... a balance bike and helmet!
Too bad he's not tall enough for his bike:( He'll love it in a few months.

Then we took him to ride the train.  He kept cheering and putting his hands in the air, especially when we went through the tunnel.

Then we went to lunch at one of Bennett's favorite places, Fritz's.  There are trains that deliver your food to your table.  Bennett gets soooo excited the whole time with the trains coming and going all over the place.  He just shouts, laughs and points the whole time.  It's a riot!

This train would drive by our window every minute or two and minute would squeal with delight every time.

Bennett doesn't really go for cake, so we had cookies and ice cream for dessert.

We love this boy so much!  He is truly such a joy.  He has such an enthusiasm for life.  He is zero to sixty in no time at all.  He is very persistent and doesn't give up on ideas he has very easily.  He has such good intentions and tries very hard to help.  He is always eager to help clean up toys, go get diapers, bring his dishes to the sink, close the garage door and hop in his car seat so I can buckle him.  He is also so polite, always saying "Sank you Mom." Even when I haven't done anything for him, I'll still hear his sweet voice say , "Sank you Mom."  It melts my heart every time.  He still loves balls.  He loves to go to the gym daycare to "pay bass-it-ball wif fwends!" The ladies at the gym always tell me how much they love when Bennett comes and that they're sure he's going to be a professional ball player someday.  Bennett has the funniest voice.  He talks in such a low, manly voice.  It's indescribable.  He loves to have books read to him.  He jumps all over the place.  He's very rough and tumble.  He takes a running start when he comes to give hugs.  He tries to knock us down.  He is such a copy cat, of Addie and Scott and I.  My favorite thing he says (and he says it randomly) is, "Bennett so handsome!"  He also knows how to flirt with girls, old and young alike.  He loves to have attention from them and knows just how to get it.  He can be quite the charmer.  I don't even know how to sum this boy up.  Basically, he's just the cutest and we love having him in our family!

May Happenings

Culver's opened down the street.  Dangerous!
We've already spent way too much money there.

We had some babysitting swaps, which meant friends over for movie night.

Addie was so sweet and got this drink, with two special straws and said, "Mom, can you please take a break from your work and share a drink with me?"

The kids LOVE story time with Dad.

Dad LOVES Sunday naps.

These two LOVE each other.

My kids had their first slurpees.  We went to the park with friends and nearly melted, so we ditched the park for some drinks.

Fancy princess hair.

Pizza night at a friend's house.

Met up with friends for lunch at Costco.

Scott tried teaching the kids to golf.
It was WAY more dangerous than I predicted it would be!

Fun Memorial Day BBQ with friends.
These two boys are the best of friends.

Silly boys doing somersaults in an empty swimming pool.

Bocci ball with friends.  Let it be known, I won the 1st round:)

Splash pad with friends.

Bennett wiped out at the splash pad and had some horrible road rash.

Addie's 1st churro.

Pizza picnic while Dad was on call.

Scott on call = Kim finishes lot's of scrap booking.

Bennett wants to potty train so bad!  And Addie really wants to teach him.  I finally caved and bought him undies.  He LOVES them and always wants to wear them.  I have a hard time saying no because his tush is just way too cute in the Mickey Mouse undies he chose.  I just have to gear up to teach him!

We started house hunting for our 1st home!

Goof ball.

Addie's First Dance Recital

Addie was over the moon about finally getting to perform on the big stage in her fancy costume!!!!

Addie even got flowers and we went out to dinner afterwards to celebrate.
She loved being center stage!
