"Jesus loves me too"

Aden's old enough now that we've been discussing Jesus and His love - on as high of a level as you can expect with an almost - two year old. I think I may be dumbing down the conversation though because last night he acted like I was walking off the short bus.

Me: Aden - who loves you? Mommy?
Aden: Mommy loves me.
M: And Daddy loves you?
A: Daddy loves me.
M: And Jesus?
A: Jesus loves me too.
M: So Mommy loves you, daddy loves you and Jesus loves you?
A: Okay mommy. (this was said like - enough already I get it!)

New Use For the Splash Pad

I'll put water fun pictures up also, but these two are just too cute not to share. Lots of fun in the sun makes for a thirsty boy.

So Sleepy

Our last visit to see Mama was right in the middle of Aden's naptime (and on a morning when he woke up super early at 6:30am!) He was so tired that at one point, he just laid down on the floor for a quick rest.

This is when we called his name and instead of getting up, he just slowly looked over at us. He ended up taking a three-hour nap when we got home.

Preview!

I am so close to having the table complete! The board is painted and the track is on it (not yet glued down), and I still have to finish painting the actual table. Not too much farther to go though. So here's a tiny peek at the top of the train table.

Nurturer

Aden is such a sweet little daddy to his babies. He always makes sure they are fed and that they have plenty to drink. And lots of cuddles too!

Design Preview

More progress! The board is primed and ready for scenery. And part of the design on the table is completed. Here's a sneak peek....

We also set the completed track up just to make sure we weren't missing any parts.
Here it is in all it's glory! (Notice even Bear gets to play)...

My daddy thinks I'm cool

Look how big my little guy looks sitting on the couch watching a movie. He's not a baby anymore. Also, if anyone has tips on how I can get Adam to start buttoning Aden's shirts before school I'd love to hear them. Everyday, I pick up a little Fonz from school with his shirt V-necked down to his belly. Chicks dig him though.

A new dinner

I'm always looking for new ways to incorporate veggies in Aden's meals. So I bought some spaghetti o's, since all kids seem to like that stuff. Aden was no exception, he ate it right up. (except he did bring me every meatball he found. He is not a meat eater, this kid). I don't think we'll be serving this again though because it was one of the biggest messes ever and I'm still finding little red handprints around the house.

Phase 1 - Completed

The first part of painting the table is complete - one coat of primer, two coats of black paint. (Nope, I didn't paint the parts that are covered by the top of the table. Don't judge.) Now all that's left for the table is adding some bright highlights and the "bling." If anyone reading this is surprised I have bling for the table, you don't know me very well. HA! I have some cute wooden stars to glue on it!

I also have the board to complete. It's on an easle, but I need to put some wood putty in a couple areas, sand those parts, prime the board and then paint some scenery on it. This is where the tracks will go, so I want to do something colorful.

YAY PAPA!

Papa finished the super-awesome train table... now I just have to paint it.
