More Mama Time

Mama will be 100 years old in 2 1/2 months!

Dinner and Dessert

Normally Aden gets a fruit and a veggie with dinner (so he can eat the fruit, one bite of the veggie and throw the rest out). Last night we decided to treat ourselves to TWO fruits and ice cream!

This is the ice cream that Aden picked out at the store.

It was a hit!

More fun sleeping positions....

Notice the ball? I often find Aden facing the wrong end of the bed. He waits until I click the door closed and then he repositions himself immediately. I've caught him doing it, it's funny. Also noteable are all the blanket options and yet this child throws off every blanket. That's why even in the balmy heat of the summer, he has to sleep in long pants.

Potty at School

Here's the potty that started it all - the first one Aden willingly wanted to sit on. This is the little bathroom that connects the two Pre-K classes. He still doesn't do anything besides SIT on it, but he still thinks he's pretty cool. (I'm not sure who the girl is. She's from another class but wanted to be in every picture I took.)

Golf Ball Love

Aden has lots of love for his golf balls. They have replaced Bear and other fuzzy friends, I'm afraid. He always has one in his hand. This photo is what I usually see when I check on Aden throughout the night.

A couple of days ago when we got home from school, Aden ran over to the couch and pulled the middle cushion off. underneath were 5 golf balls in a neat little row. He said, "Hey guys! How are you?"

He also has a game where he rolls the balls off the coffee into a drawer and then he gets concerned that he may have hurt the balls, so he brings them to me to kiss away their boo boos. Talk about a big heart!

Building a Fort

It's about time we made a fort! We draped a comforter over the bed a stool and a chair and had a great fort! Even one of Aden's doggies was invited in!

Peeking out of the fort entrance.

Proud Mommy

Aden asks to sit on the potty all the time at school, but has zero interest in the potty we have at home. Since the potty's at the school are just miniature versions of regular potty's, I decided to get a seat fitting for the big potty and see what happens. Magically, he wants to "go potty" all the time! He sits there until he's ready to get off, then tears off some toilet paper, throws it in, flushes and closes the lid. Then washes his hands. The only thing we have left for him to do is actually PEE AND POO in the potty!

I just threw this picture in because I loved his expression.

For anyone potty training now or soon, I recommend the attachable potty seat that allows you to close the big toilet lid. Nothing like training them early that the lid goes down after use! Ha ha! (Aden's wife will thank me someday for this.) I got it at Babies-R-Us.

Swinging

We enjoyed some popcycles and good playground fun in the backyard today, complete with "big boy" swinging and belly sliding.

Yeah, we still haven't done anything with the baby swing in the back.

My Monkey

Just thought I'd add a couple pictures of the Aden I get to see each night, right before bed... fresh out of the bath, hair still drying, cozy in his pajamas and winding down with some toys before bed. Actually, we normally skip the toys before bed part and go straight from the bath to our bedtime routine. But this particular night he talked me into a few more minutes with the toys. Who could say no?

Let's get that wagon rollin'

Now that the weather is a little nicer, we've been taking the occasional wagon rides through the neighborhood. This was from last night. He loves to ride!

Silly Sleeper

Sometimes I find Aden in the silliest sleeping positions. On this particular night, he was sideways. I also like how his doggy is in the same position!

Fishaphone

Who needs a microphone when you can sing with a fishaphone?

Cream Puffs

Daddy brought home cream puffs the other day and Aden loved them. Here's a great shot of his cute little chocolate face. I'm not sure why he's so serious in the photo... other than chocolate being serious business.

Chuck E. Cheese

Lola and Papa took Aden and I to Chuck E. Cheese! It was a Wednesday night, so we almost had the whole place to ourselves. Aden really enjoyed the games - particularly skee ball. He gets that from me... that's my favorite too.

Skee Ball - I walked up and caught him like this (the little cheater.)

Look at that! Straight down the middle!

That's the look of determination...

All out of balls, "Where'd the ball go?"

How cute is this tiny game - located in "Toddler Town"
