Hoppy Easter!

Easter was big time fun for the boys this year. We started the day before with a party at Valerie and Jose's house where the boys were able to see the Easter Bunny, play games, eat food, play with lots of other kids and hunt eggs.

Ethan had a tough time waiting on the line for the egg hunt to start, then when it did he got completely overwhelmed and broke down a bit. But at the first bite of chocolate, he was doing just fine.

This year, Aden became the egg-hunting pro! He was dashing around the yard like nobody's business. At one point the hunt became too easy and he started only picking up eggs of certain colors.

We also participated in the annual balloon release fro Baby Addison. The boys got to send balloons up to heaven for her to enjoy.

Guess what, Easter morning and the Easter Bunny had arrived! Aden asked about the bunny as soon as he got up and got to see his basket on the way out the door to church. Soon after this photo was taken, I caught Aden coughing until he nearly vomited in his room behind the door. He didn't want to tell me that he was feeling sick and had a sore throat. So we stayed home that morning and medicated him.

We spent lunch at LOla and Papa's house where we stuffed ourselves full of awesome food. Then headed to grandmas where she had even more food! AND... A BUNNY!

Trish, Dennis and Ravenna came up and we got to spend Ravenna's first ever Easter with her. What a treat! Josh also came by with Mia and Ava, and Bailey showed up too so we had a party!

Miss Ava and her tractor - what a beauty!

Ravenna is a furry fan as well!

"Come on! Let's hunt eggs!" The kids could barely contain themselves. We had over 450 eggs to find!

On your mark... we gave the littles a 10 second head start.

Don't mess with Aden, he's on a mission.

Bailey grabbed a big bag - and found the most eggs!

Ravenna figured this game out real fast.

Kindergarten Round Up!

Oh my goodness. Last week I registered Aden for Kindergarten! I can't believe he's even old enough for "big boy school." He has been a little apprehensive about it, even letting me know there's a kindergarten class in his current school. But once he got to the round up orientation he started getting pretty excited. And even more so after a PTA volunteer told him about all the fun things the kindergartners get to do.

(Watching Scooby Doo outside of their bed-tent)

After the round up, we treated ourselves to a yogurt treat. It was a great day! Only a few more months and my baby is officially a schooler.

(Ethan - who refers to himself as E. E. - does not like cold stuff, so he gets fruit and candy)

Deep Ellum Arts Festival 2011

While Aden was spending some time with Gigi, LIndsey, Lola, Ethan and I headed to the Deep Ellum Arts Festival. They had a doggie parade, some consessions, live music and ART! Lots of fun art. Ethan mostly liked the costumed doggies. Oh yeah - and the food.

Boat People

We recently met Lola and Papa down at Joe Pool Lake for a little boat ride - Ethan's first! Both boys are definitely boat people. They loved every minute and cried when it was over.

Afterwards, we had a bite to eat at the Oasis Restaurant. Just look at those sweet eyes!

Ethan has a slight Elmo obsession right now. He insisted on sleeping with his Tickle Me Elmo, which I don't think is very comfortable to sleep with. So I snuck back in once he fell asleep so I could remove the Elmo and I found the buddies like this.

You can tell by the pillow drool that Ethan had been snuggling him tight.
