Last Moments in Bangkok

I am so grateful that I took the opportunity to spend two months in Thailand. It was wonderful and hard and exciting and boring and every other emotion you can possibly imagine. It was the right place for me to be this summer. I love Thailand. I love the people there. I love the culture and the food. I'm drawn like a magnet to this land and I'm really not quite sure why. I'm happy to know that I will get to go back again.

Me and P' Aisunee- I owe so much to her.

Eating junk food at the mall with Pink

P' Fon

Akanit and P' Jom- Love this family!

Here is the bathroom for the condo that I lived in for almost my whole summer. It was great and functional and pretty clean.

The main living area in my condo.

A shot of the front door. The bathroom is right by the door.

The view looking into the bedroom.

The couch. I love this couch.

The bedroom.

The view from my bed including the air conditioner that saved me every night.

Det Udom

My dear friend, Sumana, is from Det Udom which is within a couple of hours of Ubon, a city where I finished my mission. I've been meaning to get out to meet Sumana's parents and go to her uncle's school for years. This time I finally made it happen. Sumana's parents are absolutely adorable and wonderful. What kind people! I also had the chance to go visit Sumana's uncle's school. His school is super unique. They learn how to raise chickens, cows, pigs, and water buffalo. They plant and harvest their own rice. The people were so kind and I could have stayed for much longer than a morning. Most of the pictures below are taken at/near the school.

The water buffalo named Tiger.

Learning about rice.

Planting rice- LOVED this almost more than anything else I did on my trip. Everyone was watching intently. Can you tell?

So HOT!
