Read, read, read
Thankfully, Ethan has developed a real love for books. Maybe it's the pictures (or for some, the sounds), or maybe it's because his mom is an English teacher. We'll never know.
One of his favorite authors now is Dr. Seuss with Green Eggs and Ham and the ABC book (or, as Ethan says, "aybeesee").
He will read them in a box...
...or he will read them with a fox (his mom!!)

Bubble Wrap Fun
Every once in a while my company will ship me some training materials to the house. The obvious upside to this is... bubble wrap! So last night Ethan and I decided to have some fun:

22 Months Old!
On Sunday Ethan turned 22 months old! Words are now turning into phrases and small sentences ("No more push!"). And every day you never know what he will say next!
It's hard to believe that his birthday is around the corner! We're getting excited about the holidays and what he'll think about Christmas. And a present for us - we're going to start potty training soon. Yay!

Trick or Treating!
Finally, here are some pictures from our first official trick-or-treating outing. Ethan got dressed up this year as a cowboy - boot, jeans, horse, and everything!
Before we went out for candy, Ethan posed for the camera:
He even gave Mommy a kiss on the cheek! How cute!
Here's Ethan with some of his friends - Darth Vader, Yoda, Jango Fett, and the Wolfman. And being the good friend he is, our cowboy held on to Darth's lightsaber for him...
After the pictures, we hit the streets in search of candy. Uncle Kevin, Uncle Keith, and Grandma and Grandpa helped out. Ethan caught on after the first couple of houses and in no time he was collecting a pretty good stash.
He even got to eat the candy as he went along:
And after a Tootsie Roll or two, Ethan was ready to play some Rock Band. Beat those drums! All that sugar brings some great energy to the band!
