Going to See the Easter Bunny

This afternoon we made our annual trek to the local mall to see the Easter Bunny. Last year he was really good right up until it was time to take the picture. The end result looked like E was worried the Easter Bunny was going to take his candy.

This year started out much the same way. Ethan was in good spirits and happy to pose for some pictures while we waited in line.

And when we met the Big Bunny, Ethan kept right on smiling! He was great! He walked up to him, gave him a high five and a fist bump, then jumped up next to him on the bench. We snapped our picture and went on our way!

This whole thing is A LOT easier when kids behave!

We're Graduating...

...to a bigger bike! Remember the bike that Ethan got for Christmas last year? He's finally outgrown it and ready to move on to a little bigger one. Thankfully, we have some wonderful neighbors that just happened to have an extra one for him to use.

A little air in the tires, WD-40 on the chain, and some height on the seat, and we were ready to go! Oh, and we couldn't forget the helmet!

Ethan learned that it was a little harder to pedal than a little tricycle. But he got used to it and was soon on his way!

We took some video too, so stay tuned to the further adventures of the Cul-de-sac toddler biker gang!

State of the Baby - 18 Weeks

We're now at 18 weeks, closing in at the halfway point of the pregnancy. Here are some little facts about what's going on with Kinley:
  • Head to rump, she's at about 5 and a half inches long (about the size of a bell pepper)
  • She's busy flexing arms and legs
  • Her blood vessels are visible through her thin skin and her ears are now in their final position

Also, Kinley has grown enough where Jill is starting to show a bit more:

Spring Break

Ethan and I headed to Dallas to spend some quality time with Nonnie and Poppy while Daddy stayed home and worked. We had a great time! I did notice that I forgot to take pictures while we were at Texanna, the only time we've ever been and no pictures. Ethan enjoyed playing football out in the great weather, he helped Poppy feed the catfish, helped drive the tractor and gave the cows a bale of hay, and loved sleeping in his bunkbed.

On Sunday, Mom, Ethan, and I met up with Leslie and Harper in Grapevine to ride on Thomas. It was a little chaotic, but we had a great time seeing animals on our "trip" and getting to meet Sir Toppham Hat.

Hard to believe, but this is the best picture of Ethan on the train tracks. He was very nervous about being near the tracks and said that he didn't trust the trains.

On Monday, we visited the Gainsville Zoo. There wasn't much of a crowd and Ethan enjoyed seeing some of his favorite animals. They even have a petting zoo and E willingly fed this little goat several handfuls of feed.

As if riding Thomas wasn't enough, we rode this little train around the park in Gainsville to finish off our zoo and picnic lunch adventure.

We had such a great time and can't believe how quickly Spring Break flew by.

Name Annoucement!

...and here is Ethan to tell you his sister's name!

It's a name that we've had in our minds for a while and we love it. Kinley is a variation on the "Kenneth" name from my side and "Rae" is after Jill's grandfather. A beautiful name for a sure-to-be-beautiful little girl!

Cardboard Cute

It sounds like a sterotype, but little kids really do like playing in cardboard boxes. When some things that Jill ordered came in, E wasted no time jumping in:

Guess who's coming in August?

Today we had a doctor's appointment with a specialist to clear up a concern from Dr. Baker. Don't worry - everything is perfectly okay and the baby is growing according to schedule.

The big surprise today was that we found out the gender of our little Jelly Bean. Here's Ethan with the big reveal:

We are so excited! Thank you all for your support and prayers. Stay tuned for the big name reveal.
