December 12th was Nonnie's birthday! We got to celebrate Nonnie's birthday early when she stayed with us as Brad took a business trip to California. Thank you, Nonnie, for making the trip down to Houston and Happy Birthday!

Headed back to the first of the month...
On Sunday, December 5th, we made a dedication to raise Kinley Rae up in the church. We have prayed for our daughter since before she was created, prayed for her desperately in the womb, and have prayed for her while holding her soft skin and rocking her to sweet dreams. As parents, we feel God has trusted us with valuable children, His children.
too tired to smile, but still looking beautiful
Ethan was Kinley's prayer warrior on stage. We've talked with Ethan about how important it is to pray for his sister. His prayer is that she finds Jesus and invites Him into her heart. That's our prayer for both of our children.
We were blessed to have friends and family join us on such a special day. GG and PawPaw getting some Kinley love.

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'
We have so much to catch up! Let's see: Nonnie's birthday, gingerbread houses, and lots and lots of Christmas pics. But, this post is precious to us because it's a milestone for our precious girl. Hope you enjoy (and we'll catch up real soon, promise!).
Last night we hit a big milestone - Kinley turned over! She turned over from her back to her front. It took a few tries as first, but now she is doing it more consistently.
Here's one of her early attempts:
But now she's a pro! Here she is with one of her successful tries:

Silly!
Every night, after dinner, Brad puts Kinley on his lap and Kin and E have a fabulous little conversation. They both end in belly laughs, which leads to Brad and me in belly laughs. Check out these silly faces!

4 Months Old!
It's hard to believe that little Kinley is 4 months old! She went to the doctor today and got all of her readings:
- 13lbs, 8oz (48th percentile)
- 24" (42nd percentile)
The doc said that she was the ideal 4 month old - we couldn't agree more!
So this week we started her on some foods - a little bit of rice cereal and some apples. Yum! Let the messes begin!

Happy Birthday Grandma!
The downside of staying so busy the past few weeks is that we get behind on important events, like birthdays!
Earlier this month Grandma had her birthday so we went out to Sugar Land to celebrate. After an awesome dinner at Saltgrass, we went on a hayride in Pecan Grove to look at Christmas lights. Then it was back to the house for birthday cake and presents - what a great night! Naturally, Ethan wanted to help out with blowing out the candles.
Happy Birthday Grandma!

Decorating the Tree
These pictures are from the first of the month, but it's still December, so here's a quick post about decorating our Christmas Tree!
Thankful for Football, Food, and Family
We feel so blessed to have so much to be thankful for that sometimes we forget to
post it! Maybe our New Year's Resolution to be to post more :)
Our Thanksgiving Break was spent in Houston with the English family. We enjoyed some delicious food, great family time (seeing cousins we haven't seen since August and had never met Kinley Rae), and watching some football.
