Eric and Boston sure had a great time this year making Boston's 1st pinewood derby as a scout. They went down to Leighton's shop to cut it out and then sanded and sanded and sanded. They went to Hobby Lobby and picked out paint and decals and I didn't have to do a dang thing! I didn't even have to remind Eric to get it done. He was on top of it. When the car was finished Eric said it was the best car he had made... I mean, him and Boston made:) Actually Boston was hands-on every step of the way.
He placed 3rd in the Wolf den but had some pretty stiff competition. He also received his Bobcat award which meant I got another pin to add to my collection.
Look how Eric is always trying to hide behind Boston. Maybe some day it will actually work.
Scouting is a great program and I am always grateful for leaders that contribute their time and energy for my children to benefit. I can't believe I've dodged the bullet of being a den leader so far. I hope I didn't speak too soon:)
