Avery Grace Turns 2!!

December 21, 2013....What a day. I can't believe my baby is 2!!! 2!!!! I feel like time just flew and stood still this year. We've had so many things happen and before we knew it we were at the end.
I had big plans for AG's birthday this year. We weren't going to have a party or go out of town because Erick had just had surgery, but she and I were going to go to the Children's museum and have lunch, go to the park, we'd have her favorite dinner, some cute cupcakes, she'd open presents and it would be a great day....Well my plans were foiled when she got croup about 2 days before her birthday, poor baby had a fever of 102 for 4 days straight and on her birthday we still hadn't been able to get her fever to come down. So we decide to scrap all the plans and just hang at home. Erick and I did the best we could to make her feel special on her day even though she probably had no idea.

That morning we woke up and had her favorite breakfast: donuts. We let her open her presents, the mistake we made was we didn't think to put the big stuff together so it was a little bit of a fight to put the Cozy Coupe together while she REALLY REALLY wanted to get into it. You can see she's in it without wheels or doors.

 Still missing the front wheels

Finally put together and enjoying a refreshing beverage in her 'drive thru'
We also got her a shopping cart which was a big hit (this was a last minute black friday decision, i wasn't sure if she would like it or not)

Poor baby had a fever spike mid afternoon hence the rosey cheeks. We gave her an otter pop to help...despite the fever she was still in her car!

We opened the presents from Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Ashley, Uncle Matt and the Boys and the Felixs

We had some yummy cupcakes with Mickey and Minnie Mouse decorations.
Happy Birthday little girl. We love you so much!

Our New House - Middle/Afterish

Finally to the middle and afterish pictures of our little house face lift. We repainted EVERY wall....and I mean EVERY WALL. You can see from the before pictures that all the walls were different colors. Although I'm sure eventually we will do some accent walls or repaint a room here or there we really wanted to neutral base to start with. I knew EXACTLY what color I wanted and I looked everywhere for something similar to it and everything I picked up just wasn't it. When we lived in Utah the color of the walls was called Tequila. It was a Kwal Paint and it was a paint store only in Utah...so i tracked down the mixture and found the exact match at Frazee....So here it is...Frazee Jonesboro....We had 5" baseboards put in and painted Swiss Coffee. To say I love it is an understatement.
We had the tile and grout downstairs cleaned, we decided at the last minute to have the vinyl floor in the upstairs bathrooms pulled out and replaced with similar tile to downstairs. We had new carpet put in and of course the laminate upstairs.

And here are the Middle pictures of the backyard....we always planned on eventually pulling the fire pit and benches out and putting sod all the way to the gate, that was supposed to be a down the road project. The minute Avery fell off the bench and banged up her face, I called Erick and said "that's it, they have to go" that night he came home with a crowbar and a sledge hammer and like that they were gone. more to come on that one...
