Cincinnati Chili

Have you ever heard of Cincinnati Chili? We hadn't until our friends from Ohio (Philip and Jayma) introduced it to us. It is very different from the chili we are used to--it has cocoa in it and is served over hot dogs or spaghetti noodles...and topped with a HUGE MOUND of cheese! It was so good though and we can't wait to eat it again! Jayma also made an amazing chocolate cheese cake--we loved that too! Thanks Jayma and Philip for the cultural experience! :)

GO ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS!!!

Last week, the Razorback basketball team was in Spokane for the first round of the NCAA tournament. They were playing USC. Eric and I were able to go to their practice on Thursday night and Eric was able to go to the game on Friday (even though they lost-he had a good time!) A picture of us cheering on the hogs (at practice) was even in a Fayetteville paper-we were pretty excited about that! We had to support the Hogs way up here!

Mom and Dad Payne's visit

This past weekend, my parents were able to come and visit from Tennessee. We had ended up having BEAUTIFUL spring weather and had such a great visit! We were able to go skiing, hiking and even visit the Bing Crosby museum at Gonzaga University. Mom and Dad did a great job skiing (even though the snow wasn't the best) and hopefully they will want to come back again to ski! Eric had to spend the majority of their visit studying for finals--but he took occational breaks to visit with us! Thanks mom and dad for coming! It was a blast!
