Matt and Laura's visit

This past weekend Matt and Laura came to visit us and meet Addelyn.

It was a very fast trip but we had a WONDERFUL time with them!

We really didn't do too much but were able to spend time with them and just visit!

Thursday afternoon (right after Matt and Laura arrived) I had to run to the grocery store - Eric wasn't home from work yet - so Matt and Laura stayed to watch Addelyn. When I got home Matt was video taping Addelyn while Laura was on the floor encouraging her to roll over - She almost rolled over...usually she is not interesed but she loved Laura's bracelet and wanted to grab it! It was great that they got it all on video too-thanks guys! :) Friday afternoon we spent time at Columbia Park and went to look at Eric's clinic. That night we went to a local brewery and ate. I told Laura I felt like that scene in "Sweet Home Alabama" where she says, "You have a baby, in a bar." Oops! Oh well - Adde didn't mind it! :) Then Saturday we went and watched the Arkansas game - well part of it - we couldn't handle watching the entire game! Matt and Laura had to leave that afternoon but we loved every minute of their stay. We missed Blakely though - but got to watch some sweet videos of him-he is just precious!!! Thank you so much for coming guys - it meant so much! Miss y'all!!!

1 year ago...

One year ago this week we were on an amazing vacation in Oregon. It is crazy how much your life can change in just 1 year. Back then, Eric still had 1 more year of school, I was working 3 jobs, we were living in Spokane in apartments, we only had to take care of each other, and we had no clue we would have a baby anytime soon(especially days before Eric graduated)! Everything in our lives are so different now....the big change is that there are 3 of us!! I love looking back and thinking about the memories we made on our trip and the wonderful time we had - and also thinking of the MANY ways God has blessed us over these past 12 months - He is SO GOOD!
and this year, instead of being on vacation this week=we get to watch our baby girl smile at us and giggle for the first time...gotta love it! (plus Matt and Laura are here visiting-so fun)

Eric's birthday party weekend

Saturday we had some friends over to help us celebrate Eric turning 30! :) Eric isn't much on birthdays and usually is pretty 'down' because he is getting older (Dayle-remember his 26th?-uhg!) but this year was different - he actually enjoyed his birthday (he must be turning over a new leaf for the 30s) We had a great time with friends and were so happy to see everyone - Jeff, Kelly, Ryan and Tiffany even came from Spokane! Thanks so much guys! And thank you to everyone who came! It definitely helped make Eric's birthday even more special!

Ryan and Tiffany stayed with us on Saturday night and we went over to David and Lani's Sunday afternoon for lunch and Rock Band - this was my first time at it and I must say - I AM ADDICTED TO THE DRUMS!!! I have secretly always wanted to try playing drums - and boy oh boy do I love them! Addelyn slept through the majority of our fun - she is so good at just "going with the flow" of things. Seth and Shannon's wedding reception

This past Friday, we were able to go to Spokane for Seth and Shannon's wedding reception. They were married in North Dakota 2 weeks ago and wanted to celebrate with friends and family in Spokane. The reception was very nice! It was SO WONDERFUL to be able to see all of our friends from our church small group - and we got to meet Zoe for the first time -she is an absolute doll! We had such a great time visiting and catching up. It went by way too fast!!! We sure do miss all of you!
