Payne's fall

a few weeks ago the kiddos were taking a bath and just playing...one moment this was Payne's smiling face.and the next he slipped and fell and hit his head on the metal strip and got a good looking gash!  A friend came over and stayed with Addelyn while Eric and I headed to the Urgent care to make sure he didn't need stitches.  He ended up having the cut glued up instead of stitches-it will definitely be a good scar!
such a sad face in the waiting room-
after screaming so much, he was happy with a sucker
showing off his boo boo

some of the glue is STILL on but the gash has healed up-
guess this is just the beginning of having a boy???

December!!!!!!!

SANTA!!!
one of the churches in town had a day where you could go see Santa and then the kiddos would be taken back to a room where they could pick out something to give to their parents-such a great idea! Adde had a blast!  She told Santa what she wanted (green sparkly earrings) but didn't want to sit on his lap for a picture...Payne just cried the moment he saw Santa and help on so tightly to me...ha!
 decorating her tree
showing off their Santa countdown calenders they made at the library...this is the first picture that both of them are smiling together and actually asked me to take this picture! :)
one day i heard them playing-and this is what I found..them looking at themselves in the bathroom mirror being silly and making faces

we went to a live nativity at a local church-super fun!

Addelyn's MRI

The week before Thanksgiving, Addelyn had an MRI at Little Rock Children's Hospital. I loaded both kiddos up and headed south...Eric's work was too crazy to be able to accompany us!  We stayed at some of our favorite people's house for the night (thank you Dayle and Tony) and loved every minute of our time catching up and watching our kiddos play together.
I hate this is the only picture I got of the girls playing dress up-they were so sweet together!

Friday morning, Addelyn and I went to the hospital--the moment we walked in, 2 of my friends from college were at the door waiting for us - it was SO SPECIAL to be able to start a hard day off with hugs and so much encouragement from good friends....and then another friend from college found us while we were waiting and brought Addelyn and gift and hung out with us too!  So sweet and comforting!  All of them work at the hospital and I am so thankful that they took time out of their day to be with us!  Thank you so much Rebecca, Katherine and Jan!  Radiology is in the basement of the hospital - we had our own room - Addelyn was so excited that she got to watch Aladin while we waited.  Every single person we came in contact with was just amazing!  Addelyn was great the entire time-right before she was sedated, I could see that she was a bit nervous...but she was such a trooper and never complained a bit!

being silly

she even got to decorate her "special pjs" with PRINCESS & DORA STICKERS!! she loved it!

practicing breathing into her "bubble gum" mask
After she fell asleep-I went to the waiting room and waited for a phone call that the MRI was complete. It took about 45 minutes...but seemed longer!
Poor thing had a hard time waking up from the anesthesia...but we survived and of course, she asked for a Starbucks scone on the way home!  How could I resist? She hadn't eaten since the day before!
A few days later, we found out that her MRI was clear!  Definitely a day that I was on my knees, in tears thanking God for Addelyn and praising HIM for the good news!  So....right now, Addelyn is on no meds and just clinically diagnosed with epilepsy.  I carry meds with me to stop a seizure in case she had one...but there are no more appointments or tests scheduled!  Thank you so much for all of the prayer and encouragement through all of this...it means so much to our family!

Christmas tree farm

The first weekend in December we went to a Christmas tree farm and picked out our tree.  A man that Eric works with owns the farm...we had a super fun time and the kiddos loved it too!  Addelyn picked out the perfect tree for us!
Eric, Adde and Loren (who owns the farm)
Payne just enjoying his freedom of walking around!
 and falling
 isn't this monkey the cutest?
 finding the prefect tree
 more exploring

 lots to choose from
 and here it is!!!!

what a great way to start off December! more fun to come!
