Washington trip - part 1

The week after New Years, we were able to take a fabulous trip to Washington.  Eric stayed for a long weekend, and I got to stay for 2 weeks with the kiddos!  I'll have to say, this trip was NOTHING like I had envisioned it would be!
Here are a few reasons why:
-on the plane ride to WA, Addelyn got sick and had a fever followed by a cold
-both me and Payne got yucky colds too and Payne ended up with a double ear infection and at Urgent Care one Sunday morning
-sickness caused us to not see 3 new babies who had been born while we've been gone
-some crazy winter weather showed up and we had to cut our time in the Tri Cities short by a couple of day...(but we were able to spend some extra time with our fabulous Spokane friends)
-then the trip ended with Addelyn losing her BELOVED green blankie in the Oakland airport.

It was definitely a challenging trip but worth every tear, scream and overwhelming moment!   We had an amazing time staying with the Kennells in the Tri Cities and the Wittwers in Spokane...and we were able to see our wonderful friends, celebrate birthdays together and just catch up and enjoy each other!
It was SO much fun but at the end, we were ready to get back to Oklahoma and see Eric and our new Okie friends!
Here are some pictures from the first couple of days of Washington fun!!!

Happy half birthday to Payne!!!

This little man turned 18 months on the 24th.  What a little precious stinker we have on our hands!!!
We just went to his 18 month well-check this week and here are his stats!
weight:  22 lbs. 3 oz. (23%)
height:  74 cm (13%)
head:  47.6 cm (56%)

Here are a few things Payne does/likes right now:
-LOVES Elmo ("LaLa") thanks to his big sister
-loves looking at books
-loves singing, dancing and music
-always says "whats dat?"
-whenever I take a picture he'll run over to me and say "see"
-loves trucks and tractors ("vroom vroom")
-still loves playing with balls and being outside
-still a snuggler and would be held ALL DAY LONG if we would let him
-has just started copying what his sister does
-still not the best sleeper in the world...and has started having night terrors (from what the doctor told us) Hopefully we can take care of them and he will start sleeping better soon.  Poor guy!
-Like I said before, he's a stinker! Definitely has a mind of his own and challenges his mama daily!
-he cries a lot - but we have had a few good days lately and hopefully those days will keep on coming!
-he is SUPER FUNNY...and knows it too! His first big word to say was "wal-mart!" ha!  and he knows we crack up whenever he says it...so he'll perform a lot for us!
-he's such a cutie!!!  Addelyn says daily how cute he is (including his "cutie toes")  We sure do love our sweet baby Payne...our lives wouldn't be nearly as crazy without him!!!

HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY SILLY BOY!!!

New Years Eve

Through house party, I was chosen to host a Smirnoff party! House party sent us a box with decorations, cups, napkins, a digital camera and a few other things for the party.  We decided to turn it into a New Years Eve party and ask the couples from our small group at church.  It was a fabulous time with games, darts, hanging out by the fire pit and of course bringing in 2012 with a champagne toast!  Here are a few pictures from our "New Years Rockin' Eve Party!"
playing a few "minute to win it" games
