Gordon 18 months old

My parents came to visit during Christmas and we had th best time with them. My sweet dad played more soccer with Gordon than you can imagine. Our amazing next door neighbors bought this soccer goal and cones for Gordon for Christmas, super nice!

Action shot of my dad and Gordon playing just one of many games out on the street.

Gordon fell asleep on my lap the other day and I couldn't have been more happy. I just love this little guy more and more every day!

Eventhough Eric has high hopes that Gordon will be an Orthodontist someday, as of right now Gordon's heart is set on cleaning and plumbing.

Check out this cake my room mom made me for Christmas, she is so talented!

Eric playing games

In the 7 1/2 years Eric and I have been married I have rarely seen him surprised. However, this Christmas I got him an Xbox Kinect and saw Eric totally surprised. Now getting this for him is completely out of my character except that I got a screaming good deal on it (which is in line with my character). Eric, his family, and I have had lots of fun playing the last week.

Christmas Boo

It is just amazing to watch how fast our little boy is growing. It seems like just yesterday we were bring him home from the hospital. It was pretty funny, last Saturday we had our Christmas party at church. Santa made an appearance and well Gordon decided that he wasn't going to have anything to do with Santa. So, Eric being the amazing dad that he is hopped on Santa's lap to show Gordon how it was done. Eric thinks he injured Santa and Gordon still clung to Eric and didn't think this was very much fun.

We also headed to the temple a few weeks ago in hopes that all of the Christmas lights would be up, turns out we went a weekend to early, we still had a lovely time. We did end up making it back down to the temple to check out the lights last weekend and they were beautiful.

Soccer Boo

Over Thanksgiving, "Aunt Shannon" let Gordon come over to her soccer facility and play some soccer. Gordon was happy as a clam. Their soccer session even ended with some bubbles, what could be better?!? Thank you Aunt Shannon! Can't wait until next time!

Oma visits

Oma had a meeting in town about a month ago and Gordon got a hold of her pants... look out! Gordon had more fun running around and stretching those pants out! It was pretty funny! Oma was a great sport!

Gordon and Eli

Adam and Emily, 2 of our friends have and adorable son named Eli who Gordon just loves. A few weeks ago we were at to mall and ran into them. Gordon and Eli had a blast in the pet store and riding the cars together. Thank goodness for buddies!

Christmas a year ago

I was just looking back through our pictures tonight and came across these Christmas pictures from last year. I seriously can't believe Gordon is already 18 months old. Many of the cute old ladies at church approach me and tell me to just enjoy every second because it goes so fast. It really does, I feel guilty some nights when I'm just counting the seconds before Gordon goes to bed because I am just so exhausted. However, I look back on these pictures and it feels like this was just yesterday. How I love my little family more than anything!

Thanksgiving

We headed up to Northern California to visit our families for Thanksgiving. We had a lovely time with them all and went over to my amazing aunt and uncle's house the day of Thanksgiving. This adorable sweater is a creation my aunt Kristin knitted for Gordon, so cute! I had the best time enjoying all of the beautiful fall colors that surrounded up. Eric was constantly being ordered to pull the car over so that I could take pictures of the trees - I do love fall!

October Highlights

We headed to Bates Nut Farm a few weeks ago and had a great time there. We had heard wonderful things about this pumpkin patch but had no idea just how big it was. It was packed of course but we were sure glad we headed out there.

Gordon thought the pumpkins were soccer balls and tried kicking most of them.

Gordon loves coming home from Kathy's house and running around in the cul-de-sac with the rest of the neighborhood girls.

Gordon's First Haircut - 17 1/2 months old

Eric finally had enough of what he called Gordon's "unkempt" hair and decided to take matters into his own hands this morning. I have to admit I wasn't ready to get rid of Gordon's curly locks but Gordon thought the haircutting process was lots of fun. He giggled while Eric used the razor on his hair. He is just growing up so fast!

Honorary Member of the Mormon Battalion!

CLASSIC picture (Gordon screaming & Eric's eyes are closed)! Today Eric, Gordon, and I headed down to San Diego and visited the Mormon Battalion in Old Town. We have heard great things about it from our friends and today we finally got to experience it. They redid the whole thing about 2 years ago and Gordon had a great time. He was an unhappy boy in the picture because he was busy playing with "pioneer toys" when we interrupted him for a picture. Anyway, it's a great place to visit for the whole family and a perk is that it is free too! Check it out!

Halloween 2011

Gordon had a wonderful time at Kathy's house today and dressed up like a little Mickey Mouse. On Saturday our church had a "trunk or treat" where many of the children wore their costumes and trick or treated from car to car. It was fun although Gordon couldn't stop crying while he was wearing his costume. We were just excited Kathy got some pictures of him at her house.

Fall... in my classroom

I was talking to my room mother the other day about how much I LOVE fall. She said it was her favorite season too. Well today when I entered my classroom I saw these amazing creations sitting on my desk. She made me "Fall" (pumpkin) curtains for my classroom!!!! I'm thrilled, I couldn't stop smiling today. In addition, to these amazing curtains she made, she also made me this AMAZING cake, yes she made it! She works at the Cake Cottage and brings me the most delicious creations often. She is so talented. My grade level loved the cake as well. Along with the curtains and cake she also threw in a "K" note pad and a "Love our Teacher" cup. Are we kidding?!?!?! I couldn't believe it. What a super sweet surprise!

Oh yeah and she brought us a "class pet" last week for our classroom!!! Soooo fun!

Elmo

Tina left this on my chair when I got to work on Tuesday. Super cute! I had been telling her that we had been looking for a Halloween costume for Gordon and hadn't had much luck. When I got home that night Eric and I eagerly put this on Gordon and let's just say he wasn't as excited as we were! He doesn't like anything on his head. This could pose a little problem. We'll see though, we still have a few weeks until the big day.

We LOVE Kathy's house!

If Gordon could move in with Kathy he WOULD! When we drive up to Kathy's he can't wait to get out of the car and see her and his buddies. It is such a wonderful feeling to know he enjoys being there so much!

16 month old Gordon

It's amazing how time flies. Gordon is no longer a "baby" but a "big boy!" He also no longer walks but runs... and everywhere besides. I'm hoping he will turn into my running partner soon! He is just darling and with each passing day Eric and I love him more and more. Some of his favorite words include, "Dog-dog," "Mommy," "Daddy," "Water," "Ball," "Weeeeee," and "Owieeeee!" (all the time even if he isn't hurt). So cute! Oh and I'm not sure if you can tell but in this picture above gordon has 3 binkies, yes he still loves those too!

We made a quick trip to the beach on Saturday so Gordon could frallic about.

Gordon and Eric had "twin day" this past week, I love these boys!

My two boys playing in the sand

Driving lessons from Eric and boy was Gordon having the time of his life. Sure the car never left our driveway but Gordon felt like "The MAN in control!"
