Fridays are Fun with the Twins

Friday's the twins stay home with me and we are trying new things.  We usually start our Friday morning out by going to Carrillo and volunteering for running club.  Then we hit the gym for a little bit, then head over to Jamba Juice and then off on an adventure.  The last couple of Fridays we went to the children's museum in Escondido and then to Legoland.  The kids enjoy being home with their mama!

2 New Sports for Gordon

We are in uncharted territory.  Gordon started 2 new sports this spring - Lacrosse and Baseball.  He is enjoying them both.  He is on the Red Socks for baseball and the Warriors for Lacrosse.  It's been a learning experience for us all.  Didn't realize how LLOOONNG baseball games and how late they were.  45 minute warm-up before the game and 2+ hour game twice a week.  It's been an adventure keeping the little kids entertained too.

Gordon is enjoying Lacrosse but says it is really hard and he is getting use to all of the gear - me too!  I had no idea he needed a helmet, mouth guard, chest protector, elbow guards, a cup, gloves, a stick... holy moly!  Let the fun begin!

Raining, Cousin Time, Everbowl

This year it has rained more around here than I remember.  I love the rain but it's nice to see the sun again!
Everbowl is my new favorite place to splurge on.  They opened up one right around the corner from my house and it's been a weekly treat!
Crystal, Cousin Avery and Cousin Lincoln were in town the other week and we were able to meet them at Legoland.  Ruby and I just went for a couple of hours but it was precious seeing these darling children together.  We gave Avery that little red purse and some tiny books and she didn't take the purse off her arm the entire time - must be genetic!  So so cute!

These little cutie pies just melted my heart.  Ruby Rose 6 years old and little Avery 2 years old.

The Fold Up Wagon - Great Purchase

Thank you Costco once again for this amazing find.  For years I've wondered if I would really use a fold up wagon, well the answer is a resounding YES!  We have only had our wagon for about a month now but it has gotten a ton of use.  The littles have turned it into a bed, we bring it to Lacrosse games, baseball games, it's gone to the beach and on walks around the neighborhood.  The $49 spend on this wagon was money well spent.

6 Year Old Princess Rue!

Bobbi got Ruby this Hawaiian dress and Ruby loves anything Hawaiian!
Ruby was so excited to celebrate her birthday in class by being the "Class Helper" of the day.  She is so dang cute and insisted on making goodie bags for her classmates and passing them out before recess.  It was darling.  She didn't mind a bit sitting in the teacher chair (Mr. Isambert's) as well and wearing her birthday crown all day.  I love this Ruby girl so much!

Swamis - Kath & I

Mom and I LOVE eating a Swami's Cafe.  In fact, while she was here for 10 days we ate there twice.  Their acai bowl is unbelievable and we have gotten this amazing rice and curry dish that has been fantastic as well.  Thanks you Swami's for the deliciousness!

Ruby Rose Turns 6!

I love this girl with my whole heart!  I prayed for her for years and she is everything I hoped for and more.  For her birthday this year she wanted a hair cut, to go shopping, to go to "Old McDonalds," and she wanted a Fingerling.  All of her birthday wishes came true and had a great little get together with a few neighborhood buddies at McDonalds.  I love this girl forever and ever!

The Art of Tidying Up

We started watching the Marie Kondo series on TV called the Art of Tidying Up.  I read the book a while ago and I love organizing and I love getting rid of things that don't bring me joy, so this book really struck a cord with me.  It's all stuff that we know but it's nice to finally put it into action.  Here is a before and after picture of a drawer of Dallin and Lily's.  It feels so good to be organized and the kids love it too.

6 year old Ruby girl has my heart!
Gordon age 8 started baseball for the first time and is really enjoying it.  He didn't want to take this picture but is excited about having a uniform and is on the Red Socks this year.
