Re-rooting

Moved - that makes 8 times in as many years of marriage. Unexpected transfer came at the end of September ('10), moved in December (bought another foreclosure in need of even more fix-up than the last), and sold other house in January (fortunate but bittersweet). Love our new neighborhood and miss the old (esp. friends, weather, yard, and 3 minute commute). We couldn't have done this rapid move without the help of our amazing family and friends!
S, Ben, G, E, Sarah, B ~ Minnesota in Summer

E loves reading, making friends, inventing recess games (and recruiting friends to play), and art. Endures Chinese class (attends 50/50 Chinese immersion class). Incredible sister and daughter.

We got to tag along on Daddy's work trip to San Diego. Thank goodness the boys are still small enough to fit together on one sleeper sofa - widthwise (our best travel tip)! Got to take the kids to Sea World - where I spent most of my preschool weekends. They loved it and enjoyed throwing shoes and popcorn on the people around us while we waited for each show to start.

B loves maps, helping, flirting, attending preschool, and absorbing his sister's Chinese lessons. Favorite phrases: "No peeking!" "To infinity and beyond!"

Chillin' on SuperDad's cape ; )

S is our symbols and signs expert. He taught himself the letters and their sounds @ 18 months old. His intense focus has now branched into tracks and paw prints. He calls red and green arrow lights "chicken tracks". ; )

G is passionate about trains (carries 3-5 Thomas engines/cars wherever he goes and gingerly cares for them). He follows his own path through life and ignores anything that doesn't jibe with his wavelength.

Ben is now the manager of special programs (Addiction Recovery and others) for his company - a global responsibility. He is also part-time faculty at Argosy University. As always, he serves us and others tirelessly. His stress management activities include cooking, world domination (via European board games), and finding Everybody Loves Raymond clips to use in his MFT courses.

Attended a Master Gardener course this year. Will be putting it to the test trying to manage our awesome but neglected new yard (former owners were extreme gardeners). Love being E's Chinese tutor but wish I had more time with her. Trying to let the small stuff go so that I can enjoy these fleeting preschool years with the boys... but then the small stuff piles up and threatens to bury us all ; ).

We hope that you are happy, well, and that you can find your warm socks this winter!
