I am a believer in the importance of "Opposition in all things". However, why does it always seem to happen at the most inopportune times?!? My little family of three has the flu. Or maybe a severe case of the cold virus because we've all been lucky to keep our food down thus far. However, I haven't been able to eat anything but toast and apple juice with an occasional orange here and there. Evidence of Murphy's law.....why is it that when you're sick and probably in the most need of some good nourishment, you can't stomach to eat anything substantial? But here's the real kicker, due to this untimely sickness I had to miss a baby shower I was very much looking forward to AND one of my best friend's flew to Utah from Tennessee to bless her baby on Sunday and I had to miss out! Oh how I wanted to be selfish and go. I've been dying to meet her adorable little boy (proof
here). But as a mother myself, I knew I couldn't live with exposing any of them. So, yes you can join with me, "Woe is me." :) I'm one that likes to look on the positive side of things and I'll admit, it sure is hard when you're sick. But I've forced myself to find two things: Kennedy was more cuddly yesterday than the last 9 months combined and she slept like an angel (Thank heavens my prayers were answered!). Her temperature has come down and she seems to be feeling much better today. Hopefully James and I will catch up with her soon. Hope you are all enjoying good health!
