Patience is His virtue

Cameron sure is patient with his big sister. She LOVES playing with him...often times a little too rough. She loves to help and pretend he's another one of her babies.

Yet despite all the abuse he still adores her. It's precious to watch.

Amateur Photos

So we had family pictures taken a couple weeks ago. We're anxiously awaiting our proofs. In the meantime, here's some pictures from a little photo shoot we did at the beginning of the month to tide you over. :) You can imagine the success you can expect with two children under the age of 3 cooperating for family pictures. Then again I have much more faith in Kaela's abilities than my amateur skills.

We Are Family

We had so much fun with James' family while they were up visiting for Laura's wedding. Kennedy, Cameron and I were able to meet James' Papa for the first time which was really special. One word to describe him: adorable.

And of course we all loved our time with Nana & Papa. Thanks to this new book, "My Wedding Day" in addition to the Living Scripture video, "Ruth", Kennedy walks around all day talking about her husband. It's hilarious. "My husband this, my husband that." The best is when she screams "MY HUSBAND" when she doesn't want to cooperate with our requests. She used to scream "My life" -- still haven't figured out where she got that one. :)

Laura's shower was lots of fun (most likely due to the many hands available to relieve my mommy responsibilities for the evening :)) and the food was divine.

Isn't my mother in law so cute?

Kennedy showing off her new tricks with Daddy. He's so fun.

Laura's Wedding

Happy 2 Month Anniversary Laura! So I'm just a tad late in posting these. James' little sister Laura was married to Joshua Shields in the Bountiful Temple on March 14th. Everything about the day was beautiful. (Except for Kennedy's hair. She won the fight that day :P.)

Stinker

Kennedy asked to wear Big Girl Underwear this morning. What the heck, I thought. It's been awhile since we've tried this. So I let her choose a pair and discuss with her 500 times how it's not okay to go pee or poop on princess Jasmine. Meanwhile during Breakfast I begin to smell something rotten.
"Kennedy, are you keeping princess Jasmine dry? You didn't go poopoo on princess Jasmine did you?"
Silence.
"Remember what I told you about keeping her clean?"
Then Kennedy gets a big grin on her face and shouts, "I'm Gassy!!"
Little Stinker. :)

Also let it be known that she went from 8am - 12:30pm without any accidents before peeing in her high chair during lunch. A remarkable achievement for this little one.

Can't Wait

We've been trying to get family pictures taken for weeks now. But with the 'Seattle-esque' weather we've been unsuccessful. Saturday is the big day and the forecast looks promising. My unbelievably talented friend, Kaela will be doing the honors. She took this picture of Cameron last night at a Cinco de Mayo party. See what I mean? Isn't she wonderful? You can view her work here. Anyone here in 'Happy Valley' ought to take advantage of scheduling her. She's amazing.
