Healthy Regime

Healthy Regime

After talking about it for so long and dilly dallying about getting it started, the healthy regime finally began! Completed my first 3.2km with LY at the new Woodlands Park Connector Network! (Though its only a walk, for a start. :p) It feels so much like probably 1 or 2 yrs back when we both were on our healthy regime of swimming, gymming or running in stadium back then. Hopefully we can maintain it this time round. School and work has drained both of us and gradually "no time" became an excuse for not working out anymore. Its normal and think many of us will agree on this. Anyway, we have decided to make it a point to go for the healthy regime every sunday, hopefully we can keep it this way. :p I wanted to upload some pics which we took but somehow, blogger does not allow me to do so, blame it on the screwed up layout. Haha.

Its gonna be a rather exciting last quarter of the year. I foresee new challenges ahead, hopefully I can take on these challenges one by one. Praying hard that someone will call me very very soon and I can bid the current workplace goodbye. And yes, I have been actively looking for a job these days. I gave myself chance to know the workplace and its environment better but I really cannot take it when I have been assigned programming tasks. It's torturous! when I have no tiny bit of interest in that.

Upcoming events from next week onwards is gonna be full of excitement too.

1. Upcoming flea at SMU.
Yes, I will be at the flea. As for the booth no., we are still pending the reply from the event organiser. Will let you guys know once I get it. Come down and support me if you are free! :D:D:D:D:D

2. Blading & Buffalo Wings.
Yes, I am finally going for the "so near yet so far" buffalo wings soon! :D Buffalo wings after blading sounds irony but who cares! :p

3. Movie Marathon.
Yes, something new. Never been on a movie marathon before. Hopefully none of us falls asleep and snores in the cinema. Hehe.

4. Yoga by the Sea.
You guys can check it out here. I wonder how it will be like but since they have asked me along, I reckon that it's gonna be quite fun. ^ ^ It will be at the East Coast Park.

5. Pending Trips!
Yes, trips in processing again. On the list are: Cameron Highlands, KL/Genting, Kukup.
Well, like I said, its pending trips. So everything's not confirmed yet. But I am quite looking forward to the Kukup trip though. Counting down in a foreign country while playing with firecrackers sounds very very interesting, esp when this is not at all available in Singapore. :p

Well of course, besides all these interesting thing, I think the most look forward thing will be the assignments and upcoming exams. I hope nothing goes wrong this semester again. At times, I really feel like giving up but when I think back, it's already halfway through. Die die also must hang on! Else I would have wasted money and effort for the past 1.5 years. Anyway... I am keeping my fingers crossed this time round. :) Jia you people.

Saw the doc on Friday and he said I have this hyperacidity. Boring. He wants to put me on medication so that the excess acid can be neutralise and reduce the no. of times I need to visit the toilet. Oh wells.. hopefully I won't have such an acidic stomach after this. >.<

Finally met up with my poly friends over the weekends, after so long. =) The meet up was great, well, at least it provided us with an update of what all of us are doing right now and how all of us are doing since we graduate from poly. Most of us are working and studying. Had steamboat dinner. Weekends was well spent, I guess. Met up with GCC-1. Haha. Headed to KTV, though its just 3 of us, I did enjoy myself. Especially after the climax of........ "蘭花草". :p

I've been contemplating if I should tell my "one and only normal" colleague that I have decided to move on, especially when she figured today that I have no SQL knowledge. She was damn surprised when I said I dont understand the query after she asked. She thought I had some background knowledge so I told her I only know those built-in functions in MS Access. But that was also so many years back, I have already thrown them to the back of my mind since I have never touched them during my course of work upon poly graduation. But after weighing the pros and cons, I have decided to keep mum abt my decision.

Seriously I must admit, it's real tough to get myself on track with programming again after so long, especially when programming or rather, IT stuff, is really not my cup of tea. I dont mind picking up the skills but, if it is to be applied to work and used daily, I think I would rather give it a miss. Maybe it is just an interest. >.<

Anyway, hopefully calls will start coming in soon and asking me to go for interviews etc. :)
Good luck to those who are on a job hunt too!
