sigh..so many things I have yet to get done for the israel trip..
1) still havent paid my fees to israel because I dont know how to fill up the form despite the information they gave me...emailed the in charge and she doesnt know too, so she's gonna hook me up with the person from israel..
2) my flight..havent booked it yet..and the package doesnt seem to have the exact flights that i want..praying that they'll mix it up again so that the right combination will come up..and I believe it will
3) have yet to get my insurance for that 7 weeks + church camp week
4) a minor but still important thing-buying stuff i need for israel trip..
so much to do..so expensive..but a trip that I know I won't regret going for..
and because God has already allowed me to go for this trip + subsidy..
I know he will provide all that I need..and the right people to help me through this journey..
and during the trip itself, i know he will give me good people to meet and make friends with and to travel around israel with. =)

on sunday we had our christmas lunch-steambaot buffet
after that, some of us headed to peninsula plaza to check out the guitar's there for ethel..but she didnt buy one that day..
then after that i headed over to changi village where hilary's birthday party was..
SUPER ulu!! and dark at the bus stop where i stopped at, it was quite scary cause I went alone somemore..and i had to walk about 4-5 bus stops away to the chalet the party was at..thank God i found it.! and really thank God for my 2 ex-classmates who never left me alone and talked to me and they even included me in the canoeing photo picture! lol..
and poor hilary was hit by a plate of whipped cream in the face..haha

tue was valentine's day!!!
went to meet some church friends to spend valentine's day
too bad i had a test the next day and couldnt stay out late..

wed leader's meeting&test, thu clt

fri after school we headed to playnation to celebrate jean's bday and nelson's final day before he goes back..

sat was our field trip to pierce reservoir, which was pretty cool..
the place there is quiet, and peaceful, and evie and i saw like 2 families of monkeys..=)
after that we ate dinner at bishan, which was horrible, the pasta mania not up to standard
we hung around junction 8 for awhile at trumpet praise
and we ended up at marcus' house and watched tower heist while we ate the stuff we bought from 7-11, wen zhuang bought so much food.

sun lunch at fish soup, then we went to watch 'this is war' at the cathay..which was not bad..

Amazing..just simply amazing!
This is the whole story, for those who don't know, I always wanted to go for an overseas exchange school programme (the choir trip in sec sch wasnt counted)..so i applied for the student exchange programme(SEP) last semester, but sadly, i got rejected..so i was quite disappointed at that time..
so this semester i decided to try for summer programme since i knew i wouldnt be able to get into SEP this sem cause of my results..and i saw this summer programme, The Megiddo expedition. it is about an archaeological dig at israel and it's after church camp so i could go for it...so i applied for it, bearing no hope that i would get it, but still i prayed that i would before i sent in the application..and PRAISE GOD!! I did get accepted!
What more could I ask for?
BUT rmb Matthew 7:11, "How much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him"
not only did I get accepted by the school, NUS also chose to give me a $750 subsidy..only 5 students are chosen to get a subsidy..really THANK GOD!
So not only do I get to go on the summer programme, and Go to ISRAEL (which is one of the many places that I want to go), I also get to fulfil my life-long dream of being an archaeologist!! Finally!!
A closed door in the previous semester has opened an even greater door this semester!

Was reminded of how God will never forsake/forget you esp when you are going through a tough time and sometimes when you feel like God has abandoned or is not answering you. There's always that promise that He'll be there for You no matter what.
Deuteronomy 31:8 "And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”
He knows your every need and every desire and He will not let go of you despite your shortcomings.

sat morn went to mrs fernandez house for bai nian with the old exco committee..=) but there was only arthur, chingyi,weiquan, the av guy (forgot his name),meng yan..the rest couldnt make it..miss lim,mdm sim and mrs ku were there way before us, so they stayed a little more after we came and then they went off to see our ex principal mrs wong..
it has been 5 yrs since i last went to mrs fernandez house, i was j1 at that time i think..
oh the times..
headed back for cell where auntie rinda and p.simon lead, then there was the worship meeting thing
family dinner came next, it was at serangoon..and we headed all the way to east coast to visit their house, which was pretty cool..and bridewars was showing on channel 5 at that time!

sunday was rachel fong's wedding day!! the day has finally arrived! we met at bishan at 9.00am, while amanda was alr in the car with sammy and u.waiyin..we reached RTCC before anyone else and they hadnt even opened the room..once they did, we changed, and jean came around that time to help us with our make up and hair..we werent done with everyone when we had to go down for rehearsals at 11.30am..SO CLOSE!! i was nervous cause i couldnt get my walking right..
Rachel Fong was SOO PRETTY in her white wedding gown!! The march finally started, and the flower girl and boy walked super duber slow, so we were behind them walking super duber slow also until jasmine hurried them..the ceremony has officially begun! Finally they're married! and they look absolutely happy =) we took lots of photos after and then sammy went off to hang with pavit while the other 4 bridesmaids stayed in our own private rosewood room to play cluedo =) and waited for dinner to start..
our table was practically all girls cause the videographers hardly ate & we had so much food left over..
it's soo great to be part of the couple's wedding day, makes it even more special and meaningful..a different point of view than just from the audience..my first time being a bridesmaid (& hopefully not last) was just an amazing experience! Thanks to the couple who allowed me to be part of it =)

today i had my last dental appointment at ndc in the morning..and i was late for tutorial for half an hour..not because i went late, but because they took soo long for the previous patient and i waited almost an hour for my turn..went out with ee chun and hilary after school..both came after 6.30pm even though we were supposed to meet at 6.30pm..ee chun came late, so hilary and i went into the theatre first, then he suggested that we should make ee chun say something funny to get his ticket from the guy at the entrance since we went in first...ee chun was supposed to say 'i'm a little teapot, short & stout', BUT apparently he didnt have to cause the guy just gave him his ticket..so not fun..
we watch jack and jill which was funny..=) LOVE adam sandler shows! after that, chun drove us supposingly to strictly pancakes to eat but because of the taipusum, we couldnt turn into the carpark so we ended up at chinatown eating chilli frog+porridge..and all through the trip and dinner, we were talking about old times and all the stories & relationships that we had once..and telling on each other's stories..just cause hilary and ee chun are primary school friends, ee chun and i are secondary school friends, and hilary and i are jc friends..a small small world..but cool at the same time =) we headed home around 11.15pm..and on the way back, ee chun was giving me tips on how to improve my sms language, both of them saying i reply too dao & will chase off all the guys..haha..they're just so funny..Next stop: strictly pancakes!

20th Jan: Frankie's 21st
after school i headed over to jurong point to hang and buy frankie's present while waiting for the evening to arrive. met with corn and amanda to go over to the chalet..after eating dinner there, frankie had some games to play..charades...her nus friends were super enthu, our group sneaked off when it was time for forfeit..we thought the group with the least points had to do but it was the group with the most points that had to do it..
corn's niece SUPER cute!! we played with her most of the time..
the cake only came back ard 10 so we celebrated and ate the cake super late..but the cake was good!

28th Jan: Cny celebration (cell)
we had our cell visitation, we went to jina's house first in the west..her house is so neat! her room too!! and they had so nice food =) then we went all the way to the east by train to jingyi's house..where we played a few rounds of murderer before we left..
we were the last group to reach church besides alpha (who went straight to the eating place cause they were too late)..
dinner was alright..our dear tian en,simone and hilary had to join their new cell for some bonding time..
after dinner, some of us went to ethel's house to practice our song for donnie's proposal..
though we digressed many times, we practiced our song and made up new parts for it =)

29th Jan:
the big day for donnie..we could all see it on his face when he came to church..with that joyful glow on his face...DONNIE's PROPOSAL DAY has finally arrived after all those hard work and preparation...
we headed over to dhoby ghaut green after church..esther came along with us cause i was her 'keeper'..
we helped prepared the place, placed the hearts, the pictures, create a mash-up, practiced our song for jean =)
there were a few times that donnnie had to talk to jean on the phone and the whole place was super quiet..
the whole event was awesome..=)
i love being part of these happy events =) love to see the big smiles on their faces =)
after the proposal went with sammy for our family dinner..

30th Jan:
went to meet sally for breakfast that day at holland v..we ate at breko, which was not bad, the food was quite alright and reasonably priced..a good place for breakfast if anyone is to meet for breakfast =) and she's the first one to give me a birthday present =)
i only had 2 lectures that day, and we were supposed to meet up for dinner to surprise James for his birthday =)..so i met zeph after school since he was coming from school too..and we headed over to wisma where ethel was doing her book review.
she was sitting with this other person, so we were deciding if that person was ethel's friend or just some random lady, cause if it was her friend, we didn't want to intrude, so we sat a few tables away at the comfy sofas and we called her..didnt expect her to take her bag and leave her seat, so she saw us sitting there..haha, it was so funny =)
sammy, zac and sarah came to join us before we all headed to cine to surprise james..and yes, he totally did not expect all of us to be there, cause we said we had something on and couldnt make it when he asked us out. =) poor james, but it was for the sake of the greater good =)
we headed over to playnation to play where brian had alr made reservations. Thanks brian! =) and it was super fun! never thought i would say the dancing thing is fun, I must be mad that day..and ended up at BKs for dinner

31st Jan:
went early in the morning to habourfront to help my sis send her phone for servicing..i was one of the first few customers and the first customer to the guy who served me..he was really nice!
cause it's anna's phone and apparently he said that there were too many messages in it 5x as much as the limit and that to work, he has to delete the messages, so he let me call my sis and she didnt pick up her phone (apparently she was having a test)..so i asked if i was holding up the queue or anything, and he said that he'll rather serve me than any other customers..so there i was trying to get a hold of my sis while he was trying to help me save the messages onto the com or something, but apparently it didnt work, so he gave me a step-by-step guide on how to fix the phone when my sister get back to me..through all that, we were chatting and he even helped me with my android phone, i learnt that my phone needs to be updated and there was a sms back-up thing in which the htc ppl bluffed me into saying there isnt..or maybe it was how i phrased the question to them..so thanks to him, i have my smses backed up now =) such a blessing to meet a nice guy early in the morning, and not some grumpy person who is unwilling to help me..he even told me if anna's phone still didnt work, can just go back and find him without going through all taking the number thing..=)
celebrated my birthday in the evening with my family since wed has yay meeting, and my sis has to finish up her project on thu..ate at pizza hut..only when my parents and my grandma gave me hongbaos for my 21st, did I realise how majorly important 21 years old is.
after that we had a family talk thing, which my dad revealed something..sooo
I have alot of Major decisions to make this year, so I'm praying for wisdom and directions on where to head to.

1st feb:
had school and spent my whole time after sch finished and coming back from yay meeting to accomplish my matlab assignment so that I can enjoy my birthday the next day. Thank God I managed to do it =)

2nd feb:
Mission: To spend time with my dear friends and just have a relaxing time.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
met sammy around 12.30pm at dhoby because we all decided to watch a movie. Thank God i reached cathay just before it poured, while sammy got caught in it, but there was a super nice lady (acc to sam) who came up behind her and sheltered her..=) so we contacted those who were coming to join us and bought tickets for them..so there was sam,zeph,brian,med and me =)
before the movie started, we went in search of sammy's wii controller cause she wanted to buy 2 more so that she can play raving rabbids at her house with more ppl..
but she ended up with a raving rabbids cd (which ended up not working) instead of the wii remotes. haha..we watched chronicle, which was not bad, but i expected more action, less talking..but still it was not bad..
then we headed to starbucks to chill and we played with the round (yes, round) poker cards we got out of buying popcorn and drinks..we taught med how to play bridge, and she was good for her first time =)
we headed to astons around 6/7 (i cant rmb), zac, dione, jeremy,grace,amanda all joined us there =)..sammy tried to stick candles and a happy birthday thing on my chicken, but i managed to reflect it back till there was only one candle on my chicken..haha.! what a sight..
and I got the 'love letters' tin from Grace..it's a Brilliant idea i must say! it's really creative and sweet =) Thank you to all those who wrote in it =) loved the notes in it..and sarah has like 3 exhibits inside the tin to go with her letter..so cool =)
we headed over to sammy's to play raving rabbids (but it didnt work, so it ended up as band hero) after astons..and while sammy and pavit went on ahead, the rest of us who were heading there stopped by over at ice edge cafe to get some ice cream to eat! love their ice cream! sammy specially baked a cake for me and painstakingly decorated it..thank you sammy! =)
and that was how i celebrated my 21st birthday..
though it really isn't how a normal person would spend her 21st birthday (since it's supposed to be special), but i'm glad I did it this way =)
and..i slept at 2am cause i was busy watching the latest episode of running man =p

3rd feb:
sch started from 8am in the morning and lasted till 5pm in the aft..can you believe?
having school like this every single friday & it's the last day of school!
anyway, after school today, i went to meet huiling, rhonda and donavan to celebrate dona's and my birthday. we ate the the i-something place (forgot the name of the place alr. haha) at marina gallery..the food was quite nice..and the egg-->absolutely lovely..hard-boiled on the outside, soft-boiled on the inside. the perfect egg!
we couldnt sit there and talk because there were really little tables and a looong queue, so we headed to our next stop..DESSERT! we decided to go to MOF along the way, and checked that they had one at raffles city, and since we needed to go to raffles place (level 33) after that, it was on the way, so we went there only to realise that...
It had changed to The Cookie Musuem. (plays sad music)
BUT...
there was another one nearby, marina square, so we went there and ate our long awaited dessert..it was not bad, but i was quite disappointed that the jelly in the picture was not nata de coca but jelly..=( never trust the pictures on the menu!
after filling our stomachs AGAIN, we walked over to esplanade bay area and celebrated our bdays there, with this guy and his band singing old chinese songs in the background (they were having a concert apparently, and the guy is an old chinese channel 8 actor)..and we were trying so hard to take photos with the iphone camera, but had so many failed attempts due to the lighting..too bad my camera died on me..=(
after which began the long walk to the standard chartered building to reach our final destination, our last stop for the day was at level 33..it looked like a really atas place, and the lady was like talking in hushed tones (so solemn)
huiling and i drank coffee since we didnt wanna drink and the other two drank the beer..it looked really fresh..and the place is really cool with like the super huge containers for the beer there..+ it has a really good view of the city there!
we sat outside where we could just talk, drink and look at the beautiful view, having an awesome time when BOOM BOOM BOOM!!
FIREWORKS!!! it was super AWESOME!
i just love fireworks! it was long and nice..so much better than the USS fireworks..and we were all wondering what the fireworks was for..we came up with like chinese new year, someone's proposal (cause there were hearts fireworks, but the guy must be super rich..)..and after it ended, we googled and realised it was chingay's fireworks! totally unexpected..really a blessing from God since we didn't know anything about it! At the right place, at the right time.
