Pool Time

As we are now approaching the end of the summer and Jack is headed to Pre-School soon.  I think i better take lots of pictures of these two.  i love that summer has been so great to us and especially to these two.  They are like two peas in a pod.  What Jack does, Max wants to do!  they truly are best friends and I love that they are close in age this summer that they are really have some great times!

of course it wouldn't be brotherly love without some tackling involved too!  I really feel bad for max, however he got right up and they started laughing.

Then I do believe they discussed it afterwards....

Getting a head start....

This is taken from awhile ago, but I haven't blogged in so long, I figure i had to start somewhere... right??

Adam started his new hobby, paint-balling.  Needless to say Jack was fully enthralled with it and the "gumballs" that would come out of it and splatter.  So, one of many night Adam took Jack out to the backyard and the shooting practice began.

It's the cutest

I don't want to forget some of the most higly intelligent conversations or statments that Jack says to me.  So, here I am going to document some that have happened lately.  Everyday, I swear it is something new but he is almost 3 and he has quite the mind of his own.  I love it almost all days.. there are a few and far in between when I don't.

(the names in the follow story have been changed to protect those involved :))

Situation A:

Two to three weeks ago we (I) started to become a dog hoarder.  I have always loved dogs and I would have a house full if they came potty trained and my better, other half would allow it.  This particular night we had four dogs at our house. Dog A, Dog B, Dog C and Puppy A

Jack and I were enjoying a night on the couch, he was sliding through the music on the itouch, I was sitting next to him browsing facebook or some other website. All dogs had been tired and were laying scattered on the floor.   I was casually looking over at Jack making sure he didn't chose a weird song or get on the internet.  Jack would kindly look up and smile, tickle my arm and go right back to his business.  Well, what would you know.. it happened...  Dog B has quite a way of clearing out a room pretty fast, let's just say he tends to let some gas slip through him.  Well, Dog B had let one get by and what do you know the following conversation took place...

Jack: "Mom, what's that smell?"

Mom: "What smell buddy?" (me, trying to ignore the nasty, ripe smell)

Jack: (sniff, sniff)  "Mom! What is that smell?"

Mom: (sni.. I could bare to take a full sniff) "Oh, i think Dog B let a stinky."

Jack: "OH"

Mom: "Yep, sorry bud, it'll go away soon."

Jack: (now, waving his hands in a fan like motion in front of his face) "Mom, that is disgusting!"

Mom: "I know, sorry."

Sorry to say but this was the only beginning of the stinky smells that came from Dog B.  However, we loved having Dog B here and can come back anytime!

Situation B:

Short and sweet...

Jack: "Hey mom, what ya doin?"

Mom: "I am cleaning off Baby 1's bum."

Jack: "Oh, did he poop?"

Mom: "Yes Jack, he did"

As i proceed to wipe Baby 1's bum...

Jack: "Oh wow Mom, Good Job!"

So, if anyone needs some or a slight bit of encouragement... You know who to call!  Jack is always great to add the commentary to everything that is being done.  Always there to ask and double check again.  Make sure nothing has changed.  I love him for this and it gives me such a great laugh!

These are only a few that have occurred in the last few days but they are great ones! Hope you enjoy as much  as I do.  Have an almost 3 year old around is some great entertainment!

Date Night

Mommy and I went to go see "Mickey on Ice Skates."  I was so excited all day long.  Earlier in the day, mommy showed me the computer and i got to see him do some skating.  We went with Grandma Colleen, Alison and Jaycee.

I got to choose some cool things while we were there....
I chose mickey binoculars and mickey ears and a HUGE bag of cotton candy.  Later mom got me a drink too!

Mickey came out and I was on the edge of my seat... I was so excited!  Mickey was so cool!

See... you see mickey.. He is RIGHT THERE!!!

There was minnie, goofey, pluto, donald duck and daisy duck too!!
Goofey even tried to pretend to be Santa but, silly goofey.. he isn't Santa!!!

Mickey did lots of dancing and skating.. but you know who I was really excited to see too!!
BUZZ, WOODY AND JESSIE!
Can you believe it!  They were there too.
I looked straight at mommy and yelled their names, I was so happy to see them.
It was such a great time with mommy and I was smiling the entire time from ear to ear.

bruno said it best....

Take a listen!  Love this song..

Today is MY lazy song day.

Part of the reason could be that the doctor diagnosed me with a concussion... that's for another day though.

Jack's 2 yr stats:

Weight: 25 lbs 12 oz (8%)

Length: 34 3/4 inches (15%)

Head: 19 3/4 inches (65%)

As you can see, Jack is a track for growth but he's brother is going to catch up quickly. They differ in weight by 3+ lbs. Jack is our little squirt but he has an appetite also, he just has all the energy in the world. So, he usually eats and eats and then runs it all off. He has a high metabolism so that helps to keep him small.

Jack is quite the talker, good and bad. Good in the sense he can really talk and at times, talk your ear off. Bad, in that he picks up on phrases and words that are said by mom and dad and passes them on. Right now, he is famous for saying, "no, ___." the blank usually is filled by, jordyn, mom, dad, max, grandma or anyone that seems to upset him at the point in his life. Right now, he can be quite the angel and quite the mischievous boy too. We love him for his outgoing personality and for his sweet and sensitive side for just a few examples. He has always been quite the explorer since he was young, and he hasn't stopped being that way, at times, my heart truly does stop for some of the dangerous stunts he pulls. We all wonder how he can completely face plant it and get up, brush it off and do it again. He is our tough little cookie! He always keeps us on our toes and i'm sure will continue to! We love you jack and always love to see the new adventures you get into and love to watch you grow smarter everyday!

This Guy....

Max's 9 month old stats:

Weight: 22lbs 15 oz (80%)

Length: 29 1/2 inches (85%)

Head: 17 3/4 inches (35%)

Max is our big boy! He most defiantly loves his food. Max is always content and happy and he has really started to grow so much. I feel like with him, the time is flying by. I can't seem to catch up to him and document all the things he does but i most certainly try! We love him so much and he is quite the mama's boy, which i truely do love! He has now officially hit the "stranger danger" stage too. Anytime he goes from mom to someone he doesn't know or see as often, he cries. I'm sure he'll shake it off but i do kind of like that he "needs" me. Especially since Jack is more and more independent lately. We love you max and can't wait to continue to grow and see you hit more and more milestones.
