Moving Time

In October Matt started applying for a new job.  As Thanksgiving week came to an end he had 4 interviews and a week long trip to these interviews.  He came home with a new job starting the beginning of January.  December was a busy month of packing, getting ready for Dylan's birthday, going to UT for Christmas and finding a new place to live.
First on the stop was Eau Claire, WI.  Here's a statue of Paul Bunion and the Blue Ox.
A foot bridge over the river downtown.
 A view of downtown.
Next on the stop was High Point, NC.
 A street in town.
 A football field.
 A lake in the area.

Matt had a layover in Washington D. C.  Not enough time to leave the airport but he could see the Capital from the airport.
Next stop wasn't in Milkwakee, but the interview was for a county near there so Matt went to the Harley-Davidson museum.
 More at the museum.
An ice sculpture at the museum.

A reindeer farm at a Christmas village.
The boys were anxiously awaiting the time to pick Matt up at the airport.

Matt had 5 interviews over the week he was gone-Eau Claire, High Point, Waukesha County, WI (near Milwakee), Lake County, IL (near Chicago) and Palm Beach, FL.  He received job offers from all but Waukesha County (which he was overqualified for but chose to take the interview because he was in the area).  We ultimately chose to accept the offer in Eau Claire.  The whole job search and interview trip was kept a secret from most people, including the boys.  We didn't want to tell them until we knew where and when we were moving.  I was nervous to tell them about the move, but this picture was taken as I told them and you can see that they were all happy about the new life adventure.

Time Out For Women

I finally got to attend Time Out For Women in Phoenix.  This is an event sponsored by Deseret Book.  It reminds me of all the Especially for Youth programs I used to attend as a youth.  I went with 2 ladies from my ward and we had a blast.

Cogburn Ostrich Farm

One of Riley's baseball coaches from fall ball owns the Cogburn Ostrich Farm near Picacho Peak.  For a team event they invited us out for a tour and bbq with the team.
