On July 5, 2014 we made our yearly visit to BYU and Provo Canyon. The boys love having our rituals (which always seem to include ice cream).

Happy 4th of July

We spent 4th of July in Utah. We got some fireworks for the evening. We also went to a neighborhood party at my parents house for bbq in the evening.

It's amazing how little fireworks you get for your money. The boys enjoyed it though!

Highlights of June 2014

A few highlights of June 2014. Very much unlike us, there are very few pictures of this month. Not sure why.

Riley competed in the Town of Marana Splash and Dash again this summer. He had to swim 8 laps/200 m (any stroke) and then run 1/2 mile. Even though the weather was extremely hot Riley enjoyed this and asked to do it.

The paper was at the Splash and Dash. Riley's picture was taken during transition and put in the paper.

Ethan wanted to learn how to sew. What better than a pillow case? The day that we decided to sew, Ethan also invited his friend Addi over so she make a pillow case as well.

Riley attended a week long basketball camp at the junior high.

Ethan attended also.

Riley participated on the swim team for his 3rd season. This was his last year for the 8 and under category. Here he is at a meet waiting for his event.

Riley did really well this season. He qualified to swim in championships, had he been in town. Only the top 8 swimmers in each division and each event qualify to swim.

Dylan showing off his life vest he got after his swimming lessons at the Y were over this summer. Though he wouldn't swim for his teacher, he did learn how to swim this summer and loves being in the pool.

Memorial Day Camping 2014

For Memorial Day weekend (5/24-5/26/14) we went camping in Pinetop. It was great to get away from the heat. The fire danger was high and so we weren't allowed to have a fire. We didn't find that out till a couple days before we left so our whole menu had to be revamped.
