sunday, sunday

petra had been asking for a pink dress for her birthday for some time, we ordered one but it didn't get in on time. when it arrived, it was a big hit.

then it turned to this. "nough pictures."

it started out at the park. we had cupcakes.

and other random happenings

lately we also attended the tulip festival, which really includes us driving around up north looking at fields of gorgeous tulips and buttercups.

petra was just as happy with a dandelion, seeing as taking a buttercup would be stealing.

petra's first pig tails. it took a while for me to convince her not to take them out... she looked adorable if I do say so myself.

from time to time petra likes to pick out all her own clothes. note the two different bow clips, the stripped jacket on top of the stripped dress on top of leggings under polka dot rain boots. I think she looks perfect.

and oh yeah, I got really, really pregnant. (believe it or not this was the least embarrassing one)

mostly the last few months have consisted of rainy days, surviving pregnancy, and getting ready for a new little sister. I am sure a new little face and the new combination of big and little sisters will prompt many a photo op. in the mean time... let this tide you over.

easter

easter started the week before with a party at daddy's work. it was actually really fun and very generous of the company, as she made out like a bandit by the end of the day.

then on Easter Sunday we had our own egg hunt

and a basket with a strawberry shortcake "berry blossom queen" crown and movie. she loves it, can you tell?

oh and some extremely creative cupcakes I decorated... pita helped too...

it was a fun day, short activities, but all the traditions I wanted. new dresses, eggs, baskets, small gifts, and goodies. of course, we had a great lesson in nursery too... we do remember the REAL meaning of Easter after all.
