Avery

I love this little girl. She is amazing. The only time she cries is if she is hungry or she wants to go to bed. I am not kidding. The other day I found her in her crib with her foot over her head stuck in the crib bars....she didn't even make a peep. Matt and I are so lucky to have her as our daughter. People always comment on how content she is. I have to agree. Isn't if funny how you can learn a life lesson from someone so young? She has taught me how to relax. I know that sounds funny, but it is true. I cant believe she is almost 6 months old.

Dallen and Darren are wonderful big brothers. Dallen has been a big help- he loves holding her, and always wants to help feed her. Darren.....ummmm.... he always wants to drag her around the house like a doll. The funny thing is Avery doesn't mind. She loves her big brothers.

Surprise!!!!!

For the last couple of weeks, my wife kept saying that we were going to have a fun family weekend. She said she wanted to reward the kids for heading back to school. (Dallen started a couple of weeks ago and Darren started today.) I figure, hey, its our kids--they are pretty easy to please when it comes to fun. We have Chuck E. Cheese, the play land at Chick Fil-A, the "babysitter" at the movie theatre (if you don't know what this is, just ask) and of course, our nuclear option- Disneyland.

So I get home from work on Friday and Joce is trying to get me to do all the Saturday chores on Friday evening. Needless to say, I didn't really want to. I cleaned for a little while and proceeded to go watch TV as Joce kept cleaning.

Saturday AM we wake up and Joce says we need to be at Costco by 10:00 AM. I don't know why 10:00 AM, but hey, we have all day to go shopping. Besides, isn't it our fun day with the kids? Needless to say, with a little poking and prodding by my wife, we head to Costco.

I am walking down the isles at Costco and I here somebody shout "Hey Ugly!" Of course I respond to this by turning my head. I look down the isle and see somebody that looks like my little Sis. It couldn't be her though as she lives in Oregon. I look past this eerily familiar person and see somebody else- my old neighbor from Anaheim Hills. I begin to think..."WHAH? Huh? Who?" I look back at that eerily familiar face and finally realize that indeed, it is Shauna! How the heck did she get down here? Apparently, Jocelyn was in cahoots with a few people and pulled the wool over my eyes on a surprise visit down here.

Here are a few pics:

It was fun having you here Shauna. Next time, bring your hubby and kiddo's! Thanks for visiting. And thank you Joce for your devious planning and perfect execution! Next time I promise to fold the laundry! ;-)

WARNING, Very DISGUSTING Post- But everyone should know where their tax dollars are going!

Found this on foxnews.....

Stimulus Bill Funds Go to Art Houses Showing 'Pervert' Revues, Underground Pornography.

Emergency grants from the National Endowment for the Arts may be going to help fund nude simulated-sex dances, Saturday night "pervert" revues and the airing of pornographic horror films at art houses in San Francisco.

The NEA was given $80 million of the government's $787 billion economic stimulus bill to spread around to needy artists nationwide, and most of the money is being spent to help preserve jobs in museums, orchestras, theaters and dance troupes that have been hit hard by the recession.

But some of the NEA's grants are spicing up more than the economy. A few of their more risque choices have some taxpayer advocates hot under the collar, including a $50,000 infusion for the Frameline film house, which recently screened Thundercrack, "the world's only underground kinky art porno horror film, complete with four men, three women and a gorilla."

"When you spend so much money in a short amount of time ... you're going to have nonsense like this, and that's why the stimulus should never have been done in the first place," said David Williams, vice president for policy at Citizens Against Government Waste.

These sorts of programs really do need to be funded by the "patrons" that go to the "performances" -- not by the federal government.

Can't wait until Obama scores a perfect miss on his "healthcare".

PS- A gorilla? Seriously? Aren't there are laws against that?

Home

We are finally getting settled in our Home. We decided to rent for the next few years while we are in CA. Here are a few pictures.
The movers came on Friday morning. It is so nice having all of our stuff back.

It just sucks unpacking it all and cleaning up all the mess that comes along with moving.

Dallen has decided he likes to unpack. Here is his attempt at unpacking the toy room. Thanks Dallen. The picture is blurry because I took it at 5:30 this morning in the dark.

I will post later. My boxes are calling.

By popular demand.

We have had many requests to post more pictures of our sweet little Avery. We are so excited to have Avery in our family. She is a very sweet little girl. She is mild tempered and loves to sleep and eat. The kids have had colds over the last week so they have not been able to hold her. Every night Dallen prays that he will get better so he can snuggle with his sister. Dallen loves babies and can't wait to help out. Darren is always waving at her and loves to talk to her in baby talk. Matt is off work to help out with the kids and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I hope you enjoy the video.
