SNOW!

Snow.. Snow.. Snow! Lots of good sledding for sure this year!
Still little enough to hitch a ride with daddy!
Who needs a sled...
Caleb's Snowman
and of course snow angels...
And Kyla, well she wasn't as excited about the snow, she didn't like that she couldn't walk in it.
... but being pulled around in it.. that was okay. Wild but still a girl.
Sledding with brother... until he wiped her out face first into the snow later... not good!
Caleb couldn't resist getting his wagon out from Christmas!
Its been cold, down to one vehicle since only 4 WD could get us out...
but still beautiful, some of the snows reminded me of the Great Lake snows I had as a child living in northern Indiana, however that is why I moved here, I didn't want to be reminded of that too much! But we have enjoyed all the sledding hills we have now! And hikes, Caleb loves to bird watch. But we're ready for some sun and melting!

Country life...

A long time... well life has lead us to new places and new adventures and we feel so blessed and happy to be settled in our new place! What a couple of years we had, but a stronger family we have become!
Summer 2010
Caleb played soccer for his second season, daddy coached, we just signed up for T-ball this weekend. Caleb and Kyla both like the tumbling class at the local Y.
A cheerleader and race car driver!
Christmas 2010

Papa making us laugh!
Grandpa and Grandma with all 6 grandkids now!
Grandpa and Caleb have become very outnumbered...
5 granddaughters! All the girls below.
Caleb and Wiggles
Kyla... need we say more... she is full of adventure and spirit!
We got confused.. the Colts weren't in the Super Bowl?Enjoying the new views and a little more country!

August in a flash...

Kyla and her pouty lip, melts our hearts!
A happy girl...
Siblings...so blessed!

Summer flowers, the bigger the better!

A couple pics of my some of my summer sewing projects.
A picture of my precious niece, she is 2 months older than Kyla.
This is her the day of her baptism.
I was so honored to make her dress and she looked like such a beautiful little doll baby in it!

I made this little back pack for a friend at church, it looks really cute on her little 1 1/2 year old, she asked me if I could make one, I wasn't sure, but I love a crafting challenge!
As her grandpa calls her, this is "Sumo Kyla" as she was first starting to sit up! Thanks to the rolls she has something to balance on!
Our trip to Cincy...
My Aunt Karen and Uncle Gary got to spend some time with the kiddos, they hadn't got to see Kyla yet so it was a big treat for all of us!
The Creation Museum
A neat attraction that walks you through the story of Creation, Caleb loved the Dinosaur part!
The Garden of Eden
We went to the County Fair I grew up spending many of my 10 years in 4-H going to. Caleb loved all of the rides!
This was probably his favorite, the fast slide! He'd climb to the top and come down all on his own!
...and baby girl, this is how she liked to ride!
And people think Arkansas has red necks, my favorite part of our fair adventure, the lawn mower demolition derby, seriously grown men and children, yes children (someone needs to call the DHS) try to be the last lawn mower standing! I never thought such a thing would exist but you actually win money for this!Papa took Caleb to an adventure train place, a kids play house full of model trains and trains to ride! A train lovers paradise!
Then the Cincinatti Zoo..
Our little monkey with Mimi
Caleb decided his favorite animal of the day was the elephant.
Once home the fun didn't stop..
This was a pic taken at one of Caleb's buddy's birthday party, a tractor party, Caleb was so excited. On the front loader 4 of the kiddos were all born within a few months of each other 3 years ago when we were all part of the same small group at our church. They all grow so fast and it was neat to see how they have all grown in to such fun little people!
We had a lake day with our Sunday School class, Caleb loved the jet ski and they had a giant trampoline in the water.
Then we were off to Branson for a weekend with our dear friends and the best neighbors you could ever have! The boys attempting some fishing off the dock...
Kyla hanging by the pool, it was actually too cold (in august!) to swim for her! Who would have thought! But we are enjoying this fall like weather in August!

...but Caleb still swam, he may have had blue lips but he still had fun!
Kyla on her first swing ride!

The boys swimming in the lake...

Kyla on her first boat ride, she loved it when we were moving, right to sleep, but didn't like the boat to stop! It was hard to find her in the life jacket!

And our first time to eat...I like to be messy, throw my spoon, and munch on the spoon! I don't like to be still much, so eating is an active adventure!

A weekend to see Grandma and Grandpa...
We took advantage of this beautiful weather and went fishing... Caleb reeled in a few fish all on his own, he really likes fishing!
And Caleb had asked to "share" grandpa's birthday, so Grandma made it happen!
And nothing ends a fun weekend like a ride on the tractor with grandpa, Caleb actually got to drive it, I do believe this was his favorite part of the weekend!

Another month gone by, and busy busy busy we have been...
So those were just a few of the photos of where we've been....
From our trip to Cincy, OH to see Papa and Mimi and family (yes with the Lord's blessing all the way, I made the 13 hour drive by myself with 2 kiddos! They did so well, I am so proud of them still!), a trip to Branson with friends, and to KC to see Grandpa and Grandma.
and lots of summer fun in between!
Kyla is sitting up for brief periods of time before taking a topple. She rolls everywhere. We started rice cereal last week, and as guessed, she likes food!
She is around 18 1/2 lbs. our guess and still so squeezable I can hardly stand it! We are wearing 6-9 month clothes and some 12 months, that I did not intend on, the plan ahead shopper I am! The rolls in the thighs mean lots of stretchy pants and dresses for my girlfriend! She still loves to chat and talk, she is definitely my social butterfly! She idols Caleb and the rougher and louder he is - the happier she is!
Caleb is full of energy these days, we try to get out every day to burn some if we can with some sort of adventure. He starts MDO one day a week in a week, he is super excited to go to school "without mommy". He has asked multiple times if I am leaving him there to play and then coming back, I think he is ready for some time away! He is playing soccer this fall, daddy has been practicing with him and he is excited for that.
We are gearing up for the fall, ready for some smore nights around the fire, pumpkin patches, apples, and getting outside some more, maybe even a camping trip, we'll see!
