RSV

RSV: for a premie is a very scary thing. Since Noah was born so prematurely his lungs didn't get to develop as they should have so he is more susceptible to RSV. Therefore we were told by my pediatrician, nurse, physical therapist and all of the NICU staff to leave him at home during the RSV season. Since in UT the RSV season is from October-May we are only allowed to go to my parents and in-laws houses with Noah. He has no clue what a grocery, church(we have became a little inactive), mall even looks like. All he sees is the walls in my house pretty much. It has been a long winter but as you can tell I am counting down the days until he can leave the house and see the real world. I can't wait for him to see what this world really looks like.
Oh and he gets a RSV shot every month during the RSV season that costs 1000 dollars a month, pretty pricey but if he does happen to catch it then hopefully the shot will keep him out of the hospital. It just makes it so RSV wouldn't be as severe, it doesn't protect him completely.

Did you know that RSV is a common cold in adults, and it can live on a surface for 6 hours like (counter tops, toys, a fork) just by having someone who is sick touch something.

Old Navy!

Yesterday, Jared and I went to Old Navy. They have cutest baby boy clothes right now. They had these darling turtle shoes and some snail shoes that I didn't get. I am a clothes hound. I love clothes and now I have a little Ken doll that I can dress however I want. Noah now has 6 teeth. His top teeth are coming in 4 at once. I feel so bad for him. I wish I could get a picture of them but he won't let me.

The Shoes the best part, they are supposed to be turtles.
Noah, smiling for the camera with tongue and all.

The cute turtle outfit.

He can Sit by himself!

Oh happy day! Now I don't have to hold him all of the time.
He isn't very happy about it.

2007 A year I will never forget. Glad it is over!

2007
A year I will never forget. But boy am I glad it is over.
  • On Martin Luther King day we wake up to a foot of water in our basement. Call the folks and have everyone close that is related come and clean house to get everything out.
  • February go to the doctor 5 months pregnant tells me everything looks great tells me my child is big for his size and that if I have any complications it will be a good thing because we will have an advantage. I knew right then that something was going to happen. I just had this really wierd feeling.
  • End of February go to the Doctor again and find out my membranes were ruptured. Layed 3 days in the hospital and on February 26th Noah was born 3 and 1/2 months premature.
  • Wondered everyday if my baby would make it. It was an emotional roller Coaster. I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.
  • Went to the NICU every day sometimes twice a day. I can't say enough about those amazing doctors and nurses that explained everything to me and didn't make me feel like an idiot. I now feel like I could be a NICU nurse.
  • On June 11, 2007 Noah's due date he finally came home. It was the happiest and scariest time in our lives.
  • Realizing I could survive with only three hours of sleep a night and being stuck to a pump feeling like a cow. Anything for your child right.
  • All summer stuck in the house too scared of germs.
  • Going back to work part time. Crying the whole way there because I had to leave my baby for the first time.
  • October firsts of everything. First RSV shot 1000 dollars a shot until April. First Halloween for Noah
  • Still stuck in the house maybe Noah will see the real world someday. I can't wait.First Thanksgiving
  • First Christmas for Noah I think it was the happiest day of Jared's life I have never saw him so excited for Noah to eat wrapping paper.
  • January the year is over. It was well worth it but one of the hardest of our lives.

I know 2008 will be a better year. But 2007 was worth it !~

Snow

This weather has been crazy. We have had sooooo much snow. Everytime I take Noah out he has to wear his bear hat. Here is a picture of him ready to brave the cold. My dad holding him, his Grandpa. We couldn't get him to smile for nothing

Gymboree Yipeeeee

This is one of the outfits Noah got for Christmas. I just love the back side. When I first had a boy. I thought I would never find any cute boy outfits. But I have found some good stores. I love Gymboree. It is kind of expensive but if you look on the sale rack you can find some cute stuff. That is where this outfit is from.
