Our baby G

Our year has started as sweet as could be.

The morning of our induction on Feb. 10th, 2010 started out with thoughts of wondering how our day would unfold.....

Here we are in the labor and delivery room waiting to be hooked up to the pitocin.

After 10 hours of labor and 4 hours of staying at 7 cm dialated, we decided the baby was too big to be born naturally..........I was super exhausted......

So we decided it would be best to have a c-section. My sweet husband sits with me as I wait to get the spinal block. The anesthesiologist is there behind us. (sharpening the needle I suppose:)

I am just happy to not be feeling the contractions at this point.

Our labor and delivery nurse, Coty, stayed around for the c-section, even though her shift had ended. She offered to take our camera and was sweet enough to take some of these pictures of the baby being born.

Here is our first introduction to baby G from Dr. Quinn......

A sweet eskimo kiss for baby.......

Welcome to our little family baby G!

We love you so much!

Catching up with the New Year

Well to hurry the rest of the past year in pictures..............

Missy Moo started 9th grade! Here is her in the 'First day' outfit.
Then we took couple of trips to Capitol Reef with both sets of grandparents. One trip was our annual apple picking outing. We took G & G Gurney along with us. (notice small baby bump on me)
and the other was more of a sight seeing enjoy-the-scenery-slower-paced trip, which was with G&G Mathews. And also good reasons to try out our new set of wheels.

This above picture may look like an ad for Toyota, but this is our new van. We have now officially joined the 'minivan' club. In September, we got a new car/minivan to welcome our new addition in Feb. of 2010, when we would have offically run out of room in our small sedan. We were lucky enough to be able to sell our trusty 2008 Hundai Sonata to our lovely neighbors across the street. (and fellow blogger, 'Beth at Aunties') Thanks sweet neighbors for making everything such a smooth transaction!!!!:)

This is the first year Bumbles was able to get in on the messy fun of making our signature apple sauce. I think this year may have been our best batch yet. (No doubt, it is becuase of the toddler's magic touch)

Disneyland 2009

A trip to Disneyland in Novemeber for an early Christmas present was a fun surprise for our kids. We drove straight through in one day. Can I just say we LOVE our new van! It is super comfy. As you can see....

Missy Moo got to walk her brother, and he got to wear a 'pack-pack'......

We were there Nov. 13th to the 17th. When they had just put out the Christmas decorations.

We had so much fun. Bumbles loved every ride we went on. His favorite were the merry-go-round and the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster rides.

The best picture taken of the kids was with Donald Duck. Bumbles seemed less frightened of him than any other character.

Since this was our family"Christmas" present I got shirts online at the disneystore and wrapped them up for all of us to open each morning before going to the park. So we all had something festive to wear each day. I even found a couple of disney maternity shirts on discount, since I was going to be 6 months pregnant during our trip.

We all had so much fun! I would highly recommend going during the Christmas season for the decorations, parade and fireworks display. We were lucky enough to have 70 degree weather during the day! We had to laugh because it snowed pretty hard back home while we were gone! :)

We had a pretty great year, and look forward to having our new family member in 2010!

Summer at the farm in pictures.....

I really have no excuse as to why I haven't posted the rest of our summer pictures other than I am so far behind I don't know how to even begin, and the fact that I would rather be on facebook or read other blogs more interesting than mine.
So here are some pictures of our time at the farm this year.......

Discovering Discovery Gateway

While my brother and fam were here, my mom and I thought it would be fun to take the Traxx downtown with the kids and go to the Discovery Gateway Museum. Which is basically a hands on, figure it out yourself, display of fun and inovative ways to play and learn at the same time. I was really pleasantly surprised at the interesting things to do.

The first activity they had was a kind of wind tunnel made of bendable tubes. Here is Bumbles putting a ball into the tube and when the door closed the wind forces it up through a long tube high above the kids' heads. Bumbles is behind a yellow plexi-glass, which makes the pictures kind of funny looking, but you get the idea.

Then it was time for some water fun. Bumbles had a blast playing in the water sinks and canals.

I think Bumbles loved the water sinks the most!
Then we decided to cool off in the Gateway's "Olympic" fountains. At the other end of the mall.

Carter would rather watch with Grandpa Mathews in the shade.

Then it was time to get back home on Traxx, our local rail transportation system.

The kids all had a great day, and the adults too! I especially liked the fact that my husband works in an office building right next to the Gateway Mall and he got to take a couple of breaks, one to join us for lunch and the other to be with us at the fountains.
