Happy Holidays 2013

Greetings to all our family and friends. We hope this has been a wonderful year for everyone. It really went by fast. Thank you for checking out the blog!
We wanted to sum up our year in pictures for you all, and it has been a busy one for us.
January, I flew with baby Emily, who was 3 months old at the time, to visit my family in Reno. It was very enjoyable visit, and a nice break for me.

Baby shoe shopping can get me into trouble...
 Bowling beauties
I got a haircut while I was there, obviously!

It was a wonderful time.
Spring came and went, and soon school was out for summer. We did a LOT of swimming this year, and we found Emily to be quite the Water Baby. We hardly have any pics of that because we were having too much fun swimming to take pictures!
Emily with a few of our Spring tulips.
Here is Emily on a hot summer day in the park, and Aaron's Pre-school Graduation. What a Ham.
We had a fun outing to the Baltimore Aquarium...

Elena turned 7...
We took a road trip to the Sacred Grove in upstate New York...
 To the Hill Cumorah Pageant...

 ...to Niagara Falls...
And ended up in Dutch Wonderland.

This was all to celebrate our 10 years of marriage in July. Fun times!
Summer went too fast and soon we were back to school...
This time Aaron as a Kindergartner and Elena a 2nd Grader!

 Emily turned one in September...
and Aaron turned 6 a few weeks later!
One last road trip to Ocean City in October...

And then Halloween...
And soon we will be hopping a plane to spend Christmas with my family in Nevada, then back home to the East Coast for New Year's Eve.

Phew! No wonder we're tired!

Merry Christmas to all!

Six Months Old!!

Emily turned 6 months old on March 1st!

At her check-up she was 17 lbs, and right on target with all the other growth.

She is not crawling yet, thankfully, but is very active still!

We love our little "Sweet Pea"!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone enjoyed the Holidays! We enjoyed them quietly, here in Maryland.
It seems that after New Year's there is a long, depressing time until the next holiday or anything worth looking forward to. Heavens! I didn't mean to sound so glum right off the bat! But for me there's usually a little post-holiday let-down.  Truth be told, January is a difficult month for the family, since it's when my youngest brother passed away.

It's been 4 years now, and a lot of healing has happened. It's sort of started a tradition of me visiting the family in Reno (flying cross-country) every January, which actually has given me something to look forward to after all. I was not able to last year, and I can't remember why- probably financial reasons- so I am really looking forward to flying out tomorrow with baby Emily. Speaking of Emily, she is getting so big! She is in the upper 90th percentile for her height, and is keeping right up with weight and head circumference.

As you can see, she's quite a sweetheart. 4 months old already! I hope she's a good traveller as well. I'll find out tomorrow! Better get packing...
