Hello y'all...

It has been much too long since I blogged. This past year has had many ups & downs, but thankfully my hubby is well now & doing great. We are blessed.

I'm going to try to blog occasionally & visit some of my favorite bloggers. I sure have missed y'all and think of each of you often.

I've started a small home business & have a business page on Facebook (Delilah Mae's). I am hosting a giveaway if anyone would like to check it out. A Different Style of Crafting...Antique Pocket Door Headboard

I'm still around & creating. I haven't completed any papercraft projects lately, but wanted to share a few of our (the hubs & I) projects. First up is our headboard that we made for our king-sized bed with antique pocket doors that came out of an farmhouse in Illinois. Bought them about 10 years ago and hauled them across the country. :-) So happy that I kept them when we moved. I love them and the beautiful bronze hardware.

My niece (Kaesey) wanted a new altered clipboard. She selected the bird paper from an older paper stack that I had been hoarding. I made a few additional items for her with the paper scraps. A 2013 calendar, a notepad cover, mini album, & a paperclip bookmark. She loves those bookmarks. :)

Believe it or not I am still around and I do still enjoying crafting. :) Work has kept me busy for the last year. I am no longer working so I hope to find time to play and share once again. I have been crafting quite a bit lately and will try to share as often as possible.

This is a card that I made my husband this week. Found a sign on Pinterest with this saying and decided to use it on a card. It took some time to decide on fonts. Even though it is a bit corny he loved it.

It seems like it has been forever since I have posted on my blog. YIKES! It has been forever...or at least 5 months. ;) Where does the time go? Since moving back to Alabama life has kept me so busy that there doesn't seem time to craft these days, but I am trying to find time to at least make some cards. I recently finished 100 wedding invitations & while I was at it I decided to make a few cards to share.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss...

Today is Dr. Seuss' 107th birthday. My niece's (Anna Scott) 2nd grade class had a birthday party for him this morning. She wanted to take cupcakes & of course I wanted to make something to send to her for the party. I made Dr. Seuss cupcake toppers. Her Mimi made the cupcakes for her. The cute tutu skirt was made by her Mom. Their neighbor appliquéd a Dr. Seuss panel on her shirt with Anna Scott's favorite quote, "I know it is wet and the sun is not sunny, but we can have lots of good fun that is funny."

It was fun to finally get my crafting mojo back. Dr. Seuss is one of my favorites, but I am sure that my husband is tired of me walking around spouting quotes from the books. ha! My favorite this week is "When a fox is in the bottle where the tweetle beetles battle with their paddles in a puddle on a noodle-eating poodle." That's a tongue twister! :)

Some of the iPhone pix are not the best....sorry! :(

24 hours until kickoff! Words can not express my excitement! It has been a long wait to see my AUburn Tigers in the National Championship game. Thought I would share a few of my favorite AU items. They have all been a must for every game this season (except for the basket..it was a Christmas gift). :)

It has been so long since I signed on to my blog that it took a while to remember my password. Sad! :( I'm going to try to do better in 2011. I wanted to wish everyone all the best in the New Year! 2010 was a trying year, but I'm looking forward to a much better year in 2011. I'm ready to get back into crafting. I've missed it and all my blog friends.

Good news!! Have you heard that my AUburn Tigers are playing in the national championship? ;) We are beyond excited! It has been a long time coming & I can't wait until Monday - 1/10/11! War Eagle!!

I do have one thing to share. I wanted a new wreath to hang above my mantle. I didn't want to buy one so I made mine using ornaments & supplies that I had on-hand. It is a BIG wreath and weighs a ton, but I'm happy with the way it turned out. I spent a total of $8 on a few extra supplies. Look forward to hearing what you think about it! :)

My next goal is to make some cards to share...hope that I haven't forgotten how to make them. haha! I would love to do some quick, easy card challenges. If you know of any please share them with me. Thanks!

I'm finally feeling better....this sinus infection has been never-ending. :-( Thanks for all the sweet emails & posts...I appreciate your thinking of me. :-)

As some of you know my niece Kaesey is my biggest fan, she loves anything that I make. :-) She is becoming very crafty herself. I'm looking forward to her next visit. She called me a few weeks ago and needed a gift for a friend's birthday. She told that anything I wanted to make was fine, but all her friends loved the paperclip bookmarks that we made. I decided on an altered clipboard & paperclip bookmark for her friend McKenzie. They have been shipped & I hope that she enjoys her gifts.

Who Dat? Geaux Saints!!

Have to give a shout-out to the New Orleans Saints this Super-Bowl Sunday. Growing up in Louisiana I've waited all my life to see the Saints in a "Supa-Beauxl". Today is the day!! :-) To say I'm Supa-Excited is an understatement. I only wish they weren't playing the Colts...they are my 2nd favorite team. The Colts & Peyton Manning are a class-act. I had the pleasure of knowing Peyton during his early years at UT and he is truly one of the nicest young men you could ever wish to meet. With that being said...I still must root for my Saints!! Geaux Saints!! May the best team win. :-)

Sorry that I haven't shared any more cards this week. I have had an icky sinus infection and terrible headaches, so my cards didn't get completed. :-( I'm feeling much better & coloring some images now...hope to have them finished soon. I have found more super-cute digital stamps this weekend...my latest find is Sassy Cheryl's. Adorable!! Love that instant download feeling. :-) Between Cheryl & Mo I'm in coloring heaven. There are a few other sites that I found, but haven't purchased yet...will let you know the verdict as soon as I decide which ones to buy. Decisions...decisions!!

Time for me to go have a beauxl of Geaux Saints Gumbo......mmmmmm!! My husband is the best Cajun cook. It's in his blood!!

Sketch & Stash Challenge - Birthday Card

Hope that everyone had a fun weekend...I've been working on my computer again. :-( Finally got it to recognize my camera. Whoot!! :-)

I found another fun blog challenge (Sketch & Stash Challenge) & had to play along. I love sketch challenges & this blog has some of the cutest sketches.

Here's the challenge:
Every 2 weeks there will be a sketch to follow. You can rotate the sketch, resize the elements and add extra elements if needed.
The second part of the challenge is to use your newest stash on your card. You can use a new paper, new stamp, new embellishments etc. They can all be new or just one thing which is new, that's up to you!
When you're posting your card on your blog please let everyone know what your new item is, the make or manufacturer and a link to where you bought it from if possible!
But most importantly, HAVE FUN!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

I'm finally back...I had a wonderful birthday & anniversary. :-)

Last week while searching for Digital stamps I found Mo's Digital Pencil. Oh my gosh...I am in love with her images. I have only purchased 2 so far, but have many more on my wish list. She has a fun challenge blog & I decided to play along this week. This is the card I made with her I Love Ya, Tomorrow stamp.

I've been practicing with my Copics again. I must say coloring with reds & oranges was a challenge for me. More practice is needed, but overall I am pleased with the card. The image is so adorable...it makes me smile. :-)

I still haven't finished any cards to share. I am working on several...just can't seem to get them finished. ha!! I received some more pressies in the mail today...this is from the "bestest" hubby ever. :-) I have been trying to complete my Copic Ciao Set B, but also like the Sketch markers, too. I'll be honest...I want them all and the airbrush system. haha!!

Anyhow...this is my loot for the day. It's been a fantastic birthday week and my birthday isn't until tomorrow. WOOT!!

These were ordered from The Merri Artist in McMinnville, Oregon. I have to say they have the BEST customer service, great prices, & lightening fast shipping. These were ordered Monday @ 1:30 pm and my order was here today (Alabama). That is FAST!! I highly recommend them.

Going to work on those cards again, now that I have some much needed Copic colors. ;-) Anyone have any tips on the best paper to use? I've tried quite a few and I'm still having some bleeding. :-(

Day 4: AUburn Fleece Blanket

Hard to believe that I've posted 4 days in a row. WOOT!! As most of you know we are HUGE AUburn fans. I have been wanting to make Clay a blanket for a long time and this was the year. Of course, I didn't start on it until the 23rd of December. Thank goodness for the BEST husband in the world...he got the fabrics even for me and cut all the fringe strips. I did the tying. Not sure I would make another one, but Clay loved it & as you can see Bai-Lee loved it, too. :-)

As the New Year begins I am going to really try to get back into crafting and blogging. It seems like 2009 was just the craziest, most hectic & fastest year ever. Hopefully, 2010 will be a bit slower and I can get everything I have to do done & find more playtime.
