Here is the inside.

LTCCB #91: Wooden Lily Flower

Hello Crafty Friends :o)  Lots of pictures in this post, so grab some hot tea and enjoy.

This post is for Love to Craft, Anything Crafty is what we are looking for.

This is a wooden lily, starburst lily, one of my favorite flowers.

My son and I picked up some kits from our bookstore to try out and see how easy they were.  All pieces are made of sturdy wood, except for a few heavy cardstock pieces that had to be folded.
Me being me... I couldn't just put the pieces together without coloring, inking and making it my own.  I didn't use the yellow stickers for the stamens, the stickers just stood out too much. The color pencils came out and yes, you can color on wood.
Inking the wooden edges helped with the pieces blending together. You can also see the leaves I colored and made veins into the leaves to make them look realistic.
These pieces can replace the bee if you wanted something different.
These is how they came...plain.
Coloring the pieces made it vibrate and my own piece of work.

Thanks for looking and reading :o)

Hello Crafty Friends :o)  Spring is almost here, bring on the flowers and sunshine.

This is my post for Love to Scrap  where Anything Goes.

I created a bookmark/tag, just because I got some new fun things from Soto Studios and wanted to play. New stencils, paper, stickers, and some clear background stamps; a little mix media fun was needed. The butterfly was cut out of sheer paper and the rest is just mix media fun.

Here's the back.

LTSCB #175: Sibling Whatever Birthday

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It's hard to believe Fall is almost here, this year has flown by.

I know I have already used this stamped, but I couldn't help myself to make another card for my brother.  His birthday is 2 days after mine and we are the same age for 2 days, this stamp set was too fitting.

I stamped the image on cardstock and colored with my colored pencils.  The background was done with a watercolored pencil. Kept it simple and made sure the kitty had a twine to play with, but I don't think he is having it.

Here's the inside.
