Seriously???
I just blogged for about two hours. I did a six month wrap up for you complete with at least a dozen pictures. Then somehow, even after I had saved it I deleted it. This is why I hate blogging. So--I tried. I failed. I'm done.
Six Month Wrap Up!
YEA!! I found it. I seriously thought I had deleted it forever! (Thanks to Connie for the encouragement!)

Nathan turned one in June. We had a doughnuts and presents.
We were in the Seiling, Oklahoma parade. We rode in the Stealth dressed up for Thunderstone Ranch. The kids had a great time throwing candy.

Those are the highlights. We are looking for a home to buy and hope to find it soon! We have been looking for a couple of months. We are hoping to move out of the city limits on a little bit of land where John can have a shop. We'll keep you informed! We also get family pictures tomorrow so I will post as soon as I can!
OK. When grandma is complaining about a new post you know it's time to get a move on! So, I am going to wrap up the last six months with some pictures and a few words. Then I will try to keep up on things a little bit more. So...here you go!
Father's Day was a hit in June. We dressed the grandkids up like cows and went to see Papa!

Maren turned 8! She had a great birthday.

She was baptized on September 11th which was Papa Keith and Gramy Jan's anniversary.
Mom and Dad took us to the fair and Disney on Ice. We all had a great time!

Our baby is 10 months old!

Our little man is ten months old today. He has been such a darling boy! We are all in love with him. He is over 23 pounds and 30 inches. He is wearing size 18 month clothes! He is crawling everywhere and pulling himself up to the furniture! We have been so fortunate to have this little person in our home. We don't know what we would do without our little Nathan John Ferrell!

Time is Flying!

I can't believe I haven't posted since November! Things just get crazy. I will put a few pictures of the kids for an update. They are such cute children. We had a great Thanksgiving at the ranch, a wonderful Christmas here at home. New Years was mellow and calm.
I took the kids to the doctor last week for yearly checkups. I was amazed at how much they have grown! Hunter is 12. He is 5 feet tall! He weighs 84 pounds. He wears the same shoe size as I do! I wore his shoes the other day for fun and they really do fit! Kaleb is 9 and 4' 6". He weighs 59 pounds. He is a cutie who will catch up to Hunter before long. Maren is 7 and 4' 1". She weighs 54 pounds. She is growing her hair out and it is gorgeous. She has thick, lovely hair. Elizabeth is 2. She is 2' 10". (That sounded so short to me after the other kids!) She weighs 26 pounds. We just set up her big-girl bed and she is ecstatic! The amazing thing is the difference between she and Nathan! He is 7 months. 2' 6" and 22 pounds! Elizabeth is 20 months older and only 4 inches and 4 pounds! She is petite and Nathan is the size of an average 13 month old! Amazing. He can sit on his own now and will crawl before long but he looks big enough to get up and walk!
Hope you enjoy the update!

Growing Children
A word about my growing children. There are new pictures of them all at the right.
Hunter is almost 12....yes 12! I am in awe at that large number! He is in 6th grade. He has a wonderful sense of humor, loves science, is working on his red belt in TaeKwon Do, is and AMAZING builder of legos, and is the best big brother this large family could ask for.
Kaleb is nine. He is working on his bear in cub scouts, loves to play soccer, is the fastest runner I know, has a tender heart and a sweet spirit, and can melt you with his big brown eyes. I am lucky to spend every day with him as he is homeschooling. We learn so much together and he is truly intelligent. He loves the little kids and they adore him!
Maren is seven and in first grade. She is a Daisy Girl Scout. She is a gorgeous girl and knows it! She can pose for a camera like she has had training! Maren is becoming quite a good reader and speller. She has been working hard on her parts for the Primary Program and her Thanksgiving play at school. One of John's favorite things to do is watch Maren eat and ice cream cone because of her long tongue! She is hilarious!
Elizabeth is a joy. She is learning so much. She has been two years old for 18 days and it has been a great two years with her. Today she was on the potty (and she went, yea!) and she looked down and dropped her binky (which I'm not sure she will ever give up) in to the potty. Maren freaked out and Kaleb fished it out. (Of course we sterilized it!) Elizabeth is the apple of our eyes and we all love her so much.
Nathan is just what his name means: God's gift. He is my angel and I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful addition to our home. He is HUGE! He is four months old and is 27 inches long and weighs a whopping 18 pounds! He is the size of an average 8-9 month old. It takes about half of my energy just to nurse this kid! He is so long that he is wearing 12 month clothing already. He has a peaceful disposition, lovely blue eyes, and adds a measure of peace to our chaotic lives.
Well, there you have it. It sounds like a I just bragged about my children but they really are that wonderful. We have our bad days around here like everyone else but at the end of the day, when I am worn out from the cooking, dishes, laundry, scrubbing, cleaning, running kids all over, prayers, baths, stories etc., I look at the seemingly simple things I have accomplished and pronounce it good....at least until tomorrow!
