cesarini's

Here is a picture of our entire Cesarini family. I love this picture! One of the main reasons for the family reunion was to get one big picture of all of our family since it's been a few years since we have all had one together. If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, I love my family so much! I had a little bit of a hard time coming home and being back in reality but I got back into the swing of things within a couple of days. Now I get to look forward to the Ficker's next big family trip which will be over Thanksgiving. We're planning on going down to Disneyland and spending the holiday with Joaquin's Dad, Step Mom for the holiday. Grandpa Rich won tickets to go to Disneyland and is giving them to us so we can all go. I am beyond excited to go! The boys will still be free at this time because they are still under the age of 2. They will turn 3 on December 2nd.

cesarini's family reunion in bear lake, ut

While waiting to go into the Minnetonka cave, Brock decided to kill a bug with his shoe and show me. Boys will be boys I guess.

Inside the cave there were 444 steps one way to get to the end of the cave. It was a really good work out to climb those stairs while holding a child.

Minnetonka cave
This was the very end of the cave and to show us how dark the cave is, they shut off all of the lights. It was pitch black in there. You can't see a thing and it just so happens that I seem to have a child who is very afraid of the dark. Even though I was holding him, he started to cry, and yell my name and say over and over, "Dark n' near". Translation: It's dark in here. :(

Nickie is really happy to be in the cave.

Sleeping beauty. Jorja.

Beautiful Julianna.

This picture is out of order. This was when we went to the fossil museum.

Our Bear Lake Family reunion was so very much fun. We all were very happy with the cabin we rented this year and all felt like there was so much room that we could have done it for another week. (Well maybe not all of us felt that way, but I know I did.) It's always nice to be around all of the family so the boys can get to know their Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles and cousins. The boys LOVE their cousins! They both tend to go to Anthony the most. Everett was especially attached to Anth, Brock is usually okay hanging out with anyone who will pay attention to him.

If I am ever in charge of planning one of these trips again, I will do somethings different. For example, we checked in on Monday after 2pm. That was much too late to be checking in. That whole day was almost a waste. But we did make up for it on the other days by spending much time at the private beach, exploring the Minnetonka cave and one of all of the Cesarini's favorite past times, EATING! Of course my family always plans on feeding an entire village when we get together even thought there were only 23 of us there. No complaints on my end though. My waist line is a little mad at me for over indulging though.

It really was such a blast to be with all of the family. I feel truly honored to have the family that I have! I can't say enough good things about them. If it were up to me, I would buy a huge plot of land, build houses for 7 different families so we could all live near one another. Too bad we're broke. I really am looking forward to our next family vacation. I'm not sure if we'll be doing this every year or once every other year but I'm hoping someone steps up to the plate and plans next year. (Hint, hint, nudge, nudge!)

a day on the ranch

This picture was at the Young's house. We slept at there house on our way up to Bear Lake with my brother's family. We had a blast.

My beautiful Sister in law Sindy and my beautiful niece Melina out 4 wheeling.

My awesome brother Tony and my most favorite nephew, Anthony!

Grandpa Gerry, Brock and "s***head". (That really is the name of his dog.)

Sinders and Tone.

Wheat fields.

A day on the Bues ranch is what we did on our first day of vacation up in Soda Springs Idaho. My brother Tony, Sindy and Melina and Anthony all came a day early so Sindy could see where Tony goes hunting every year. We had so much fun that we wished we had more time to spend up there. The boys were able to go on their first 4-wheeler ride. (I have a picture of them on the 4 wheeler with Joaquin but it's on his phone and I forgot to download his pictures from our trip.) At first I was a little reluctant to let Joaquin let the boys get on but then I remembered how good he is about making sure everyone is always safe that I got over it. I even got the courage to get on one and ride it around. It was so much fun! I wouldn't mind getting some for our own little family one day. Joaquin was mighty pleased to hear that since I've sorta been anti 4 wheeler for a long time. I've heard and read a lot about kids getting really hurt on them and I worry a lot about those things happening to us.

Well when the "C4" (Cesarini 4) came up, we went on a 2 hour ride. some of the group saw a couple of deer. I didn't because I was so concentrated on trying to not crash the 4wheeler. Sindy and the kids loved being out in the country. Gerry's ranch is so beautiful and we all felt so lucky to be able to spend sometime out there. I hope the boys always have a place out there we can go visit to get away from the busy city.

There are a lot of random pictures in here that don't really go together but I haven't posted anything in so long that I figured I'll just throw these on and now that we have moved up to Idaho, maybe I can start blogging again. One day I would like to print this blog into a book for my kids so they can have a scrapbook of some kind when they grow up.

We have had one very busy summer. That is just the way I like it. We just got home from our family reunion in Bear Lake with my side of the family so I will shortly be blogging about that as well.
