Merry Christmas from the Fiedlers...

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas...

Travis turns 2!!!

I cannot believe my sweet boy is 2 already!!! It seriously seems like just yesterday we were waiting and waiting for him to make his debut. Travis is every bit as entertaining as Kaylie was at 2.
Some of my most favorite thoughts on the T Man:
* He LOVES his sisters... anytime I pick him up from school, he immediately starts asking where Kay Kay? Emy? Kay Kay here? Kay Kay byebye? And when we pick her up, he starts yelling HIIII KAY KAY!!!
* He still sleeps with his babies- and yes, thats plural. He has several Angel soft dolls and he rubs them to go to sleep. He has a tiger, an elephant, a lion, a monkey and an owl.
* We have an evening routine- Daddy gives him a bath and then Mommy takes him up to read and sing to him. We sing You are my sunshine, goodnight sweetheart, twinkle twinkle- and we say our prayers. He now knows most of the Lords Prayer and loves when I start saying it and stop so he can finish the sentence.
* He still goes to bed SOOOO EARLY!!! We can push him to 6:30 but if he is up past 7, all bets are off as to how he will behave!
*He is a HUGE Daddy's boy. He will be totally snuggly with me until he sees Steven and then forget it- he's all about Daddy.
* He loves watching ESPN. I could put on ESPN and he will watch the games as long as we let him. Forget cartoons- its all about sports.
* He also loves to watch Animal Planet and anything about animals!!!
* He loves his friends at school- apparently, he likes to rough-house which includes tackling, pushing and falling over on his friends.
* He has a little girl in his class- her name is Kathryn- and everyday, she runs to his cubby and gets his jacket/backpack to hand to Travis for him to leave. She gives him a hug and then hugs me... it is so sweet. And Travis giggles EVERYTIME!!!

Oh Travis- I could go on for days. You are so sweet- and I thank God everyday for blessing me with you. Can't wait to see whats in store for you!

Halloween 2011

Halloween was so much fun this year. Kaylie of course really enjoyed it and Travis LOVED going door to door- asking treatotreeeeet.... it was so funny. It took us about 10 min to walk from one house to the other! Kaylie was a flapper, mainly because she wanted to wear a hot pink wig- and Travis was a boxer! He wouldn't put on the costume at first- but I literally held him down to put it on him and once he saw himself in the mirror with his muscles, he was all about it!
My dad came over and walked around with us- he's done that since Kaylie was 2! We really enjoyed it!

My Mom's Surprise 60th Birthday Bash

My brothers and I decided to throw my mom a surprise birthday bash for her 60th birthday. We invited my grandmother, aunt, cousins, and all of our families. My mom was beyond happy- I dont think I've seen her that happy in a very long time. It meant so much to her that we did that for her- it was a wonderful day at my older brother Rusty's house!

Maui, Fiedler-style

Steven and I surprised the girls at Christmas with a trip to Hawaii. It has to be one of the most wonderful trips I've ever been on. The only regret? Not having Travis with us. The girls got to surf, cliff jump, see beautiful landscapes and scenery, go to a luau, boogie board, eat-eat-eat... it was one of the most relaxing trips we've ever taken.
We said we would go back for our 10 year anniversary as a family trip!

Anyone out there? I promise, I promise...

Ok- its been like a lifetime since I last posted. I don't even know if anyone checks this anymore! BUT- here goes alot of updating :)
Be ready for a bunch of updates and pics!

Hello, hello, whoever is out there!

I know- I've been REALLY bad about blogging. I have a REALLY good excuse- or 10. Working full time on top of being a full time parent, I'm BUSY BUSY!
To start things off, I have to talk about Travis Cade. My goodness, this child has given me a run for my money (literally). He is ALL BOY. Everything about him is boy- he's huge, loves to bang things to make noise, is highly entertained by watching basketball on tv, loves to dance, loves his mama, and loves to get hurt. You can't sum it up any better than that!
Travis has had repeat ear infections since he was born- constant congestion, cough, snoring, ear issues... so we finally took him to an ENT. He told us that we definitely needed to get his tubes put in and adenoids removed. All in all, it was a great experience. We had the surgery at Texas Childrens- aside from the delay of starting by 2 hours, Travis did great and we were in and out in a few hours! He is an entirely different kid now when it comes to congestion. No more runny nose and I can hardly hear him on the monitor, which means no snoring!
Well I guess he couldn't leave well enough alone- a week and a half ago, we were at Center Court Pizza with my parents to eat dinner- within the first 10 minutes of being there, Travis was chasing birds and tripped on the uneven ground on their patio. Fell on his arm! He was wimpering a bit but nothing alarming. He went home, went to sleep, and then woke up at 4am just whining and not really himself. We looked at his arm and the way he was favoring it and knew something was wrong. We went to Methodist Emergency and sure enough, little man had broken it in 3 places by his wrist! He is a tough cookie! He got a temp cast and then we went a week ago today to get his permanent cast. He was so good- never cried, just stared at the doctors as they came to work on him. He got a camoflauge cast, he looks so cute! This cast hasn't slowed him down AT ALL. He is go go go all of the time! I swear, he gives me major mommy worry everytime he moves!

As for the girls- they are both great. Kaylie is really exceling in school. She loves to read and play school every single day, a pastime that I did as well! She likes to put on my shoes and teach her students every day. She's a hoot! We recently discovered Skype and she has talked to my dad a few times. She told him to close his eyes... and then she tried to stand up in the barstool- when I asked her what she was doing, she said I'm going to show him my butt... needless to say, we are always entertained by the things that come out of her mouth. She's funny, witty and I just love her to death! Hard to believe she will be 7 in a little over 3 weeks.

Emily is still as sweet as ever- I feel like we haven't seen her in a while but we didn't have her for spring break this year and then she was sick last weekend so she didn't come over. We can't wait to see her this weekend!!! She is doing great. :)

Sorry for the delay- really, I just feel like I'm moving in a million directions and I am never slowing down! I will try my best to keep up with it better. Here are some pics over the last few months!
