Thank you all for being a part of a historic moment for the Church in Penang. His glory WILL cover the earth like the waters cover the seas! Over the 10 Days, the heavens were opened and Holy Spirit moved in power, releasing wisdom and revelation and opening the eyes of many to their identity as the Bride of Christ. Many heard the call to be forerunners to prepare the way for His return. Many were healed, both physically and emotionally. And all the glory and honor belong to the One who is the center of it all: Jesus!
The Word of God says that they overcame by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. If you have a testimony you would like to share on this website, please email us and we will post it.

10 Days Update – Day 2
Helo! Evan here…
Wow! We’ve had a great past two days at the House of Prayer. Last night the people here were so hungry for more of God. I was leading worship and when the music kinda died down they began praying and singing louder and louder! I found myself spurred on by their worship; it was great! April spoke on the word of the Lord for this hour and urgency to wake up and understand what God is saying and doing on the earth today.
Tonight Josh has asked me to stretch myself and speak for the first time. So I will be speaking on the Greatest Commandment. I will cover how the greatest fuel for us to love God is the understanding that He first loves us and how MUCH He loves us. I’ll be speaking some out of Song of Songs on the Ravished Heart of God.
God is doing some great things here in Penang and I’m so glad to be a part of it!

May 21 – 30: 10 Hours of Prayer for 10 Days
12:00-2:00pm: Harp & Bowl
2:00-4:00pm: Prayer Slot
4:00-5:00pm: Intercession
5:00-7:00pm: Prayer Slot
7:00-10:00pm: Night Session with Harp & Bowl and Teaching
May 31. The Global Day of Prayer.
7:00pm. PCC (Shammah Hall, Level 3).
For the first time in Penang’s history, we are going to be launching 10 Days of 10 hours of prayer leading up to the Global Day of Prayer on May 31. We are expecting a mighty outpouring of His Spirit, believing for open heavens, and that our island and the nation will be transformed as His Bride unites in prayer.
We are also excited to welcome April Lupo and Evan Olsen from the International House of Prayer (IHOP-Tallahassee) who will be joining us, leading and imparting during the 10 Days and the GDOP.
Get Involved!
- If you are a church / organization / prayer group leader, sign up to anchor a day. When you sign up to anchor a day, you are committing to mobilizing your members to sign up for prayer slots and come to the Harp & Bowl sessions for that day. If you are interested, we are also looking for pastors / leaders to lead the 4-5pm Intercession Hour, too.
- If you are signing up as an individual / small group, feel free to sign up for a prayer slot or show up to the Harp & Bowl, Intercession, or Night Sessions.
If you sign up for a Prayer Slot, feel free to make use of the 6 stations set up in the Prayer Room to guide you through an hour or two of prayer. Many have come as groups and experienced God’s presence in a powerful way as they prayed together at the stations.
The Harp & Bowl and Night Sessions will be led by a worship team, and the Intercession Hour will be a time of focused prayer. There will be plenty of opportunities to participate in prayer and worship. - If you are a worship team member (singer, musician, worship leader, intercessor leader) and you would like to be a part of the team that leads at the Harp & Bowl / Night Sessions, please send Josh an email at penanghouseofprayer@gmail.com.

10 Days of Prayer & The Global Day of Prayer (GDOP)
10 Days Of Prayer (GDOP)
From 21-30 May 2009, we will launch an unprecedented prayer initiative in Penang and call the Church in Penang to embark on 10 days of 24 hour prayer. Uniting with Christians around the world in preparation for the Global Day of Prayer, we will be doing Acts 1:14, believing for Acts 2:1 to happen so that we will see the glory of Christ and the blessing of the nations.
During the 10-day event, expect to engage in:
- A specific daily prayer focus based around the Lord’s Prayer
- Harp and Bowl (Worship and Intercession) sessions at 6:00-8:00am and nightly sessions beginning at 7:00pm
- Teaching and Impartation (Intimacy, Intercession, Inheritance, etc.) at the night sessions
- Focused Intercession Hours – lunchtime prayer (noon-2pm) and mid-afternoon prayer (4-5pm)
- Individual Prayer Slots
- Impartation and Training for Worship leaders and their teams
- A Combined Churches Prayer Gathering on the Global Day of Prayer / Pentecost (May 31)
We are also excited to welcome our friends April Lupo and Evan Olsen joining us from IHOP Tallahassee!
We are inviting all churches in Penang to unite in prayer. Please send us an email if you feel led to be a part of the organizing team (admin, staff, website, media, etc.) or help build the HoP (singers, musicians, intercessors, etc.).

The venue is TBD, but we are excited that our friends from IHOP Tallahassee are coming to join us in building the Penang House of Prayer, in equipping the body of Christ in Penang, and to shake the heavens with us as we believe for an open heaven over Penang as His people come together to pray! So worship leaders, musicians, singers, intercessors, prayer warriors, and leaders… take note, and save the date! Let’s be a part of creating history in Penang!
