Back to blogging...

I have not been very good at blogging lately.... We have all been a little crazy here!
Especially with my situation... To make a long story short for those of you who don't know... I found a lump in September and over the next few months had lots of doctor appointments, mammogram, ultrasounds and MRI. And then finally had a lumpectomy almost 2 weeks ago. And after these months of stress and worry we finally have good news. I am fine.. NoCancer! I do have somehing called PASH that will probably result in more lumpectomies over the years and Dr. visits every six months... But that is okay I can deal with that. I am just so relieved to be able to breath again and I mean deeply, relaxingly breath. I am so grateful to my Father in Heaven for blessing us through this time of worry. We felt His tender spirit and love through so many hours of worry and pain. So, life goes on... but a little different now... We definitly appreciate each other more...And treasure the little things...Even if it's spilled cocoa on the white carpet..... :)
I found this poem and it brought a lot of comfort to me during these last few months....

Walk With Me

"Walk with me," I heard Him say,
"Walk with me awhile today."
"Talk with me," I heard him speak,
"Talk with me of the things you think."

Share with me the things you feel,
Share with me so you can heal.
Cry with me through your heartbreaks,
Cry with me when your soul aches.

Look with me, a new sunrise!
Look with me through opened eyes.
See with me the world anew,
See with me my point of view.

Laugh with me in pure delight,
Laugh with me it's all alright!
Sing with me as we stroll along,
Sing with me I love your song.
Learn with me your wondrous story,
Learn with me your prior glory.
Know with me just who you are,
Know with me we've traveled far.

Create with me and dreams come true,
Create with me I create through you!
Walk with me on Heaven's shore,
Walk with me forever more!

A Knowledge of Revelation

Last night I was reading in the January Ensign of the Twelve apostles and their testimonies of the Prophet Joseph Smith. I loved them all. But it was Elder Holland's that I was really touched by. I read it over and over. So, I give my testimony with his.. That the Heavens are still open. Joseph Smith was truly called of God We have a living prophet today, even Thomas S. Monson, that gives us divine direction. We are so very blessed to be living in this dispensation. And I KNOW that God does and will speak to man and that miracles exist. I know these things to be true. I know it with all that is in me..So read on, his testimony is beautiful.
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
Jeffrey R. Holland, “A Knowledge of Revelation,” Ensign, Jan. 2009, 14

“Are the heavens open? Does God reveal His will to prophets and apostles as in days of old? That they are and that He does is the unflinching declaration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to all the world. And in that declaration lies the significance of Joseph Smith, the Prophet. …
“His life asked and answered the question ‘Do you believe God speaks to man?’ In all else that he accomplished in his brief 38 and a half years, Joseph left us above all else the resolute legacy of divine revelation—not a single, isolated revelation without evidence or consequence … but specific, documented, ongoing directions from God” (“Prophets, Seers, and Revelators,” Ensign, Nov. 2004, 8).

Tiny A is three!

Wow, my baby is three years old! I can not believe it. We celebrated her big day while at my parents. We had a great time with all of the cousins! Happy, Happy Birthday Tiny A! We love you!

Christmas...

We had a great Christmas. We had our traditional Christmas Eve dinner with our friends. It is always so much fun. Thanks to them for always having us over. Then we went and looked at Christmas lights. The younger kids were certain that they saw Santa's sleigh fly over us on our way home. So we drove a little faster and hurried up to bed. The kids all made it to sleep in time and were very pleased to see that santa came. Even Tiny A was excited and pretty happy with Santa. She had decided she was going to sleep with us and lock our door. Or put the baby gate up on the stairs so he couldn't go up. And her last suggestion before she fell asleep was, "Can't Santa just leave the presents out side?" She is our first kiddo to be scared of Santa. Hopefully she won't be so scared next year.
We had a big Christmas breakfast and played for a bit and then headed down to Socorro for Christmas dinner.
The next morning we went to the ranch to spend some time with my family. We had a great time.
We came home with an extra little present that was yet to be unwrapped until Tiny A started throwing up all over me at church. And , ofcourse, as the flu goes, it is the gift that keeps giving and we are still fighting this bug off.

We hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas Season. We love you all....
