Show Low, Arizona...

We just returned from a quick trip to Show Low for a half Ironman that Matt was entered in. We had a great time.
On Our Way.....

As with tradition.. We went to see the Snowflake Temple. It was BEAUTIFUL! It was set high up on a hill and you could see it as we drove into town.

We then went to the race area so Matt could register and the kids could explore. It is a beautiful lake and area. We will probably camp there next year like our other friends, The Montoyas, do.

We stayed in Snowflake which is only 19 miles away and we had the Hotel to ourselves (or so it seemed) and the kids played in the pool forever. They were so tired they barely made it through their showers without falling asleep. :) I think Big A might need a hair cut! :)

Double A trying to get her swim cap on... it's a little hard when your hair isn't pulled back.

We woke up at 4:00 to get ready to leave for the race. We were at the race by 5:00. Early morning for the kiddos.. But they were troopers!

Getting set up and ready to go...

We're Off!

We are off to Show Low, Arizona this morning. Matt is doing a half ironman race in the morning. So be thinking of him and I'll post pictures when we get back tomorrow night!

Bragging Rights!

Yesterday the girls and I went down to Becca's for a day of pampering. We got manicures, pedicures and Double A got her hair cut. So fun! I highly recommend this! Anyway, I left the boys at home. They were given the opportunity to play as much Wii as they wanted while we were gone. This is a big privilege since I really limit them on that thing. When I returned the house was immaculate! They cleaned everything! Including my closet, the girls room and dishes. Counters were scrubbed down and organized, the coat closet was organized, and all of the laundry was brought down! I can not even begin to tell you how this made me feel. These sweet little guys had the opportunity to just hang out but they chose to spoil me instead. Wow! I love those little men! I had a lot to do yesterday with trying to get ready for Matt's race so this was a tremendous gift from them. We were done getting ready so quickly that Matt and I went to the temple last night. Truly, how did I get so lucky that these sweet spirits were sent to me?

Cousins...

We had a great time at the ranch this weekend as well. My kiddos especially enjoyed getting to see Jewel for the first time...

What a lucky baby.. Look at all of these people who just love and adore her! But then again, maybe it is us who are the lucky ones to get to be around such a sweet one straight from Heaven..
We went for a walk with the two little girls.. They had so much fun as you can see in this video of them running down a hill. A little crazy. We were waiting for them to have a wipeout. But they did good. Not even a scraped knee!
Grandma Debbie and the girls.
Tiny A and Jorianne playing at the pond. There is nothing like throwing rocks in the water. :)
Aunt Becca and these two silly girls!
Aunt Becca and Aunt Carrie were spinning them around and then they would try and walk.. Very funny.
Cousins, cousins, we love our cousins!
Happy 6th Birthday Joren!
Mary Anne and her girls!
The older boys were gone all day playing and not around where I could torment them with the camera.. But I hear they had fun chasing rabbits down and having so much fun!

Fossil Hike....

While in Socorro we went on a hike to find some fossils just East of Socorro. It was beautiful! We went with Grandma Lynette and Grandpa Peter and our nephew Roland was also with us.
On our way..
Matt being the Ironman he is had to show us all up and carry both little ones.
Okay, so he didn't carry them all of the time, I took some turns, too.
Tour Guide Grandpa...

I love the way the Valley looks in this picture....

Any way, We had a great time and enjoyed a fabulous El Sombrero dinner afterwards....
