Double A's trip to Denver

Double A had the great chance to go stay with her best friend in Denver. These two girls have been friends since they were 3! We are still great friends with the whole Anderson family. We just love them to pieces! Matt was going to Denver for a conference so Abi flew with him and stayed with Brooke! She loved every minute of it. I sent the camera with her but she was so busy having fun she only took a few pictures.
One thing she thought was so cool was the camaro that Matt rented...

Cute best friend, Brooke.
Daddy and Abi coming home...
Thank you Anderson family for letting Abi come. She loved it!

Happy Anniversary!

So Matt and I celebrated our 13 th wedding anniversary on Monday.
What can I say, the time has flown. I still get excited when it gets close to the end of the day and I find myself watching the clock and counting down the minutes until he walks through the front door.
I love sitting at the other end of the dinner table and looking at our five children sitting down both sides between us and knowing these are our babies and this is what we now have. Crazy!
I love him more every day and think that is the coolest thing ever, because every day I think I couldn't possibly love him more.
Happy Anniversary, my love!
Check these pictures out.... They are from our first high school prom that we went together.

Backpacking with the boys!

M and our two boys went on a great backpacking trip with Lynette, Peter and Joshua. They had a fabulous time.

Wow, New Mexico is so beautiful!
They were there for three days. So during the day they would go on day hikes.

Girls weekend!

So it is just us girls this weekend. We were suppose to go to my family's home while the boys are off on a back packing trip, but we were so exhausted from our Denver trip we didn't feel like we could get in the car again! So we are here just hanging out and having fun! Aunt Carrie is coming up today and we are so excited to have another girl to have fun with! After all, we absolutely love her to pieces! Here are a few picts from our days.

Colorado Trip

This week M had a conference in Denver. What Denver? We just had to go. So we all quickly decided this was a must trip and packed and left the next day with M. He had to be in the conference all day, but how could we resist going up to the place we love. The kids and I played all day. The first day there we went into Boulder. AWWWW......Boulder. Sigh.... We love it here. This is where M and I spent the first 5 years of our marriage together and had 3 of our kids. What can I say, we will always hold it dear to our hearts.
Of course, we had to get our supply of CU wear. Go Buffs! We won't even begin to think of the amount that was spent on it, right? All worth it though!
That evening we went and played 36 holes of Putt putt golf. Good idea at the beginning but those last ten holes or so we were done! It was 9:30 and kids were tired. But it was sure fun for a while! :) And for the record, I totally kicked Matt's butt at it. Okay, that was said, i will not mention it again. Hee Hee :) !!!
The next day we headed into Denver to the Zoo. We had not been to the zoo since we moved away. It was great and the kids had fun!
This peacock was actually getting kind of cranky with people passing by... Little scary...
Little A always one for a photo opportunity... Cute girl!
The kids were in love with this little baby. They would talk to him and he would just stay there looking up at them.
That evening when M was done with his conference, we went back into Boulder and did a small hike up the Boulder creek path. So pretty! And look at my little family. They just make me feel all mushy inside. Wow, I love them!!!!
Anyway, we love it up there and we will take every opportunity that is thrown at us to get up there!

Moon over Lake

Last week Big A did his Eagle project at Lake Heron. (Yea, Big A! You totally rock!) M took this picture one evening while he was there. Absolutely breathtaking!

4th of July

We had a great 4th this year. We all ran the 4th of July 5K, even our little A and I pushed Tiny A. We then went down to Socorro for the fireworks.
Tiny A asleep and getting energy for the big day ahead! The kids had earned some money that was special for purchasing fireworks. So right when we got to Socorro M and the kids went shopping. M was just like a little kid, just giddy with the excitement of fireworks!
While they were shopping Tiny A and I were relaxing in the yard and she was playing in the kiddie pool Grandma Lynette had in the yard.
When the kids came home they immediately went to setting off the ones they could do in the light.
Grandpa Peter with a few of the grand kids.
Tiny did not like the noise.
Our solution for her..

FIREWORKS!
We even made it down to the duck pond to feed the ducks.
