Coles 1st Birthday-April 22,2009

He got to do his favorite thing on his big day--help me with laundry!

He enjoyed eating one of his first big people meals all by himself-green enchiladas.

I know I am the most horrible mother for not posting this blog on my sons actual birthday, but at least I am doing it now--right!!

My little sweetie with his first birthday cake--made especially for him by.....Wal-Mart.
( Can you tell I have 4 kids now-it was actually pretty tasty.)

Let me just start by saying that I have enjoyed this little guy so much. Besides the fact that he is so dang cute to look at ( I know I need to be a little more humble), he also has the best little personality. I have had so much fun playing with him as a baby. He has always been so responsive and happy. He just brightens up our home and everyone wants to be around him. He has a huge mouth and an even bigger smile. I love his red hair and his tiny little legs. He is definitely the small fry out of all of our children only coming in at the 10th percentile. He makes up for his small size with his huge personality. He thinks he is much bigger than he actually is and he has his brothers and older sister to thank for that. His signature thing that he does and hes done it since he was tiny is to put out his fist straight ahead of him like he wants to give you knuckles. When he was really small he used to do it every time daddy came in the room and sometimes he would even make a little spit noise with his mouth when he did it. Sometimes he makes little whimpering sounds like a puppy. Speaking of puppies, he and our dog Rowdy keep my floor cleaned of any small articles of food and often times other small items.

The chocolate cake aftermath--notice the white tablecloth.

Typical--loved the wrapping paper more than the gifts.
(Although, he did get a swing for the backyard and PaPa built him a frame for it--he loved that!!)
Well we love this little guy and are so grateful that hes part of our family. Here's to many many more years of fun with our BoBo.

Easter 2009

Easter weekend was very eventful this year. On Friday, we colored eggs and waited for family to arrive. On Saturday we went to Mona and had ham and lots of other easter fixins and had the annual easter egg hunt. Carrie and Brandon came on Saturday to be here for baby Lukes blessing on Sunday. On Sunday the kids woke to their Easter surprises and we headed off to the blessing. Nana and Eli and Kelsey and Justin were there to meet everyone. The blessing was beautiful and followed by a lunch at Calli and Ryans. We also did a small egg hunt for the little ones 4 and under. It was great to have family here and we had a few Sequence battles with Nana and Eli. Ry and I started out the loosers the first night but when Nana made the mistake of staying another night, we beat her and Eli pretty bad and sent them home the loosers. I love having my fam come and stay and it was so nice to spend the weekend with those we love.

A quick Easter pic. after church.

March 21, 2009
We went with our great friends to celebrate their sons 4th b-day to the Dino Museum at Thanksgiving Point. The kids had a good time and enjoyed the sand/water play area the most. I usually don't let them play in there because I think it is a really great breeding ground for nasty germs, but I put all those thought aside and let them just be kids. It was fun to just hang out with friends for the day.

New Calling--New Beginings

March 8, 2009
So because I haven't blogged in forever, I have not metioned my new calling as Beehive Advisor. I was thrilled when I got the call and ready to serve. The women I am serving with are all awesome and it will be great getting to know some of the youth in our ward not to mention future babysitters-ha ha. I helped to decorate for the new beginnings night and it turned out really cute. Thanks to my sis in law Debbie it was really easy. She provided me with the tissue balls- all I had to do was come up with a way to light them( our theme for the night was all about light). I have loved getting to know the girls thus far and am having a good time serving in a new capacity.

Relief Society Birthday

Just thought I'd post some pics of the cake I made for the occasion.

Welcome to my Newest little Nephew-Luke

February 24, 2009
I just have to say how thrilled I am that I live close enough to one of my sisters to be able to be at the birth of her children. It is such an amazing and spiritual experience and I feel very honored that she allows me the privilage to take part in such a wonderful and personal part of her life. I am also grateful that I feel very welcome by her husband as well. I have to give a big thanks to my sisters in law who watched my kids so that I could be there for my sis. They are so awesome to help me out at the last minute. I would have been very sad had I not been able to be a part of this wonderful day. The baby is beautiful and he has the most wonderful parents and big brother. I cant wait for him to get to know his aunt uncle and all his crazy cousins up the road. We love you Loveless family!!

Sarahs first big hair cut

Before-1/04/09

Well, it was finally time to cut my daughters hair and there was no question as to who would be called on for the task. We made the trek down to Mona and had aunt Trish cut her hair into a cute a-line. She did wonderful and loved her new hair do. She just kept saying--I look like Avery (her cousin who also has an a-line haircut) I sure love my little red head.

christmas 2008

Christmas was nice and relaxing at home this year. It's kind of ironic that Ry surprised me with a new camera and I haven't blogged since.
